First I need to mention the service. The entire staff was absolutely incredible, every one we interacted with was above and beyond polite and positive. Our server Misele was great. Visited for the first time. We were promptly greater and seated upon arrival. Once seated we're immediately brought chips and salsa. The salsa was very good. My husband ordered the special margarita and felt it was ok. I had a burrito with chicken and my husband had enchiladas. Our food came out quickly. The food was good, but felt it could be a little fresher. It was not anything we were blown away by. If we were in the area and needed something to eat we may return, but it is nothing we would make a special trip for. read more

Ooooohhhh mmmyyyy goodness, I mean good food. I'm bored and raised in Los Angeles and Mexican, so when I stepped in here and was definitely judging!!! And damn did they pass and make me and my taste buds feel at home. Basic expresso burrito with a fresh marg that I asked ever so nicely to reduce that triple sec , and he did! It's a carnitas burrito made with love , I put my hands up on the first bite , sooo yummy! Must eat here when you can!!!!! This is a very average Mexican restaurant with average service including at the bar. Visited several times hoping it would be different. The house Margarita was okay - served from a 5 gallon plastic container. One of my benchmarks for a Mexican restaurant is the fish and carnitas tacos. Carnitas was good. The fried monkfish was is small pieces making the fried outside the overwhelming taste and less the fish - it was a 3 star taco and no more. Not something I would rush back for... something I eat across California, the southwest and Mexico. Chips and fresh salsa are very good. The guac is very average, and little spice. Please just remove the Negra Modelo tap since it hasn't worked there three times I wanted one. I have a passion for tacos unfulfilled here. This was an excellent meal! Ordered the Enchiladas with Shrimp in a creamy chive enhanced sauce. Really delicious. My husband ordered the Shrimp Fajita and while it tasted good he commented the tail on presentation made it difficult to eat. I ordered their Blood Orange Tito-Rita and to be honest it didn't really taste very 'orangey' - pretty similar to a regular tequila margarita- but it made the meal that much more enjoyable. Serve here is quick and efficient. Maybe a small language barrier but didn't really impact the meal. There were TVs which worked out nicely for us to watch some football. When we went at 4:00 pm on New Years Eve it was pretty quiet although it started to fill as we were leaving. We will be definitely be back. The food was really good!!! read more

I went here twice in the past month. Both times the food was exceptional. Some friends and I have been hitting up different Mexican joints in the area in the past year to rate their margaritas and queso especially. I thought this was the best out of the 9? we've already been to. They offer margarita flights or pitchers, which was the way to go for us and were all very good. The flavored ones were very sweet so I favored the more traditional type better. I like how they have an extensive menu and you can choose an enchilada, taco and quesadilla as an option. The service the first visit was spotty (albeit a holiday ) but they were very attentive on a quiet thursday night and the server memory banked all 6 of our orders without fail. read more

I used to love this place but after my experience this time, I'm unlikely to go back. Service was horrendous. We asked the server how spicy the ceviche was and she responded "I don't know." I asked her to please find out and she responded "it has jalapenos." That was the start of an unfriendly and unwelcoming experience as she seemed bothered to be asked for a glass of water or for take-away container. Food was ok and nothing memorable. Food was not good at all. I had enchiladas with a white sauce which tasted like it had too much vinegar in it - it was awful. My husband had World's Best Tacos - everything was very bland. First off, Dad Approved because that man is hard to please with Mexican food! I recently learned that they have margarita flights and I HAD to try my favorite type of drink. They do have their distinct fruity flavor (didn't see a menu to show the flavors, but colors were blue, yellow, clear, pink and dark pink), but overall not that strong. For the main dish, I ordered barrias, which are like tacos, but you dip them into the sauce. It also came with rice, but unlike other places, it's just enough to fill you up instead of half the plate. Also came with beans and coleslaw. I was stuffed, but had just enough room for churros. The staff here is quite quick too, I swear I saw a few running with dishes to their table! The price isn't bad either, so I would definitely come back again. read more

Strange visit. Sat at the bar, ordered pork carnitas taco plate. Food came quickly, reasonably good and a decent sized portion. Included chips and salsa, which were good, too. Ordered a club soda with lemon. Got lime but whatever. Asked for the bill. Bill came, $21 for lunch ($18 for tacos, $2 for club soda.) Huh. The plate was listed at $11 (lunch price) on the menu. I brought this to the attention of another server (bartender had disappeared) and he apologized and brought the bill somewhere to get corrected. Came back, new bill said $12 for the taco plate, and $2.50 for the soda water. Taco plate still more than listed on the menu, and suddenly the club soda got more expensive. I didn't quibble, but pretty annoyed at these discrepancies. This is my first time here. Might be my last. $15.52 plus tip is a lot for a basic lunch with no alcohol. And this situation seemed fishy. I believe this place is new. This first impression was not a good one. read more

10/10 would never recommend this restaurant. Came with a party of kids after an event, and the servers completely ignored several requests to order from some of the kids. Only some of the food came, and it was shocking to see such willful ignorance of their customers. Requests to pack up some of the food were also ignored. Our waitress needs to take Provigen for her memory. Went to a VERY empty Ocho tonight with 8 people from work. I recommended Ocho for out of towners - been many times and love the food.......well most of it.. we ordered drinks, table side guacamole and queso dip. Apps were good, including the chips. We told our waitress one time that she forgot the beer for one person, we told her again 10 min later - we then pulled a "Karen" and told her a third time, it finally arrived. I told someone in our group to order the chicken pimento which I said was great so she did. Food came out 4 plates of quesadillas, we told them to start eating and then we waited and waited and waited, 20 min later we asked were the rest of the food was.....it's coming. I guess you can whip up quesadillas in a jiffy. Finally the rest of the dinners came out. I got the salmon and will never get that again. Damn - I need to stick with Mexican in a Mexican restaurant. Skinny piece of salmon with way mushy overcooked veggies and a blob of lettuce to make the plate look good I guess. OK so now my recommended Chicken Pimento dish ..... she never got to try it because the waitress forgot to enter it into order. So she was left without any food, luckily other workers offered a bit of this and that so she could eat. I like the food here if you stick with Mex. They need to make easier foods (Quesadillas) last so all the food comes out on time. Food 4 stars - service and memory of waitress 2 or less - never checked to see if we liked food - probably embarrassed.. Better luck next time. read more

We went on a Saturday night and were easily seated as a group of four. The service was friendly and we all enjoyed our drinks (a jalapeño margarita, a mojito and a passion fruit rum drink). That was the end of the pleasant experience. The food was really bad. You wouldn't think you could go wrong with a taco salad, but this one had no dressing, was just plain lettuce, packaged grated cheese, soupy unflavored ground beef and the rest of the veggies were not appetizing. The guacamole was horrifying: dark green and mushy, like the kind you find premade at the grocery. My companion had two beef tacos that were also unflavored and bland with liquified pinto beans. The only thing that passed muster was the Spanish rice. We were very disappointed and won't be returning. read more

The restaurant is colorful, clean and the service is speedy. Unfortunately, the food is not great. My son's hamburger came out dry and overcooked...he is a kid...not a huge deal. He only had a bite of it, but felt the fries were good. Unfortunately, my burrito was a soggy mess and super bland. The veggies were mushy while the chicken was overcooked. I'm not usually picky, but 2 bites was enough :( I was hungry and considering ordering something else, but our waitress never came back to check on us. 20 minutes after getting the food, I actually made eye contact with other staff members several times while obviously looking for our waitress and nobody came over to help (this was during lunch this afternoon and the restaurant was practically empty). In the end, I paid almost $50 for a couple of fries and a serving of Queso. Both entrees were practically inedible. When the waitress finally came back, I told her the issues and she just asked if I wanted to wrap everything up to go!?? I only took the burger, but tried a bite of it myself after getting home, realized it was a hockey puck and threw it out. An expensive lunch for 2 meals that both ended up in the trash. read more

Went there for my mother's birthday and we got a bunch of things to share Chicken quesadillas, buffalo wings, ocho trio and korean tacos The food was hot and flavorful, the buffalo wings were so delicious and just the right amount of spicy, the steak was well seasoned and tender and the quesadilla was melty on the inside and wonderfully crunchy on the outside, I also got the margarita with no name, very nice. It was not overpowered with sour mix and had a sweet taste. Between the four of us we just couldn't stop it was so good. The wait staff was kind and attentive, we were never left waiting for drinks or water and everything came out in a timely manner. I will absolutely be back and it is a new favorite place for my parents as well. read more

I went here on a Saturday around 2pm and the place was empty. A little skeptical at first but it turned out to be a decent experience. My boyfriend and I were the only ones at the restaurant at the time so we sat at the bar. Drinks were pretty good. I love salsa and chips and their house salsa was definitely a decent one. The food came out quickly and was great. I had the fish tacos and my boyfriend had chicken tacos--Decent flavors in the rice and beans, fish was fresh, and even had a good fresh toppings.
