I usually go to Bueno Y Sano in Acton for local burritos, but tried Oscar's once. The young man making my burrito worked very fast. I asked him not to put rice in my burrito. He put rice then took it out, but some rice remained. He was moving really fast, like he was in a rush, but we were the only people in the restaurant at the time. He made the burrito. Can't go wrong here! My favorite is the enchilada dinner, but my kids love the taquitos or spicy chicken burritos.

Oscar's is always good but I have a couple complaints. My family's orders always get messed up. It is usually not a huge deal but this time was not ideal. My mom got two burritos instead of two tacos. My order was almost all rice and little amount of other fillings. I will come back but I hope they get my order right finally. read more

Mexican burritos made in a rundown barnhouse outside the local ice rink. An unlikely combination resulting in a hole-in-the-wall gem for the Acton-Boxborough community. Despite the unique environment, Oscar's takes on the familiar fast-casual, made-to-order model of Chipotle - but with more flavorful ingredients, cheaper prices, and the friendly service you get from a local mom-and-pop. Nothing incredible but by far the best you can get short of going into Boston. Other than the short line that formed during lunch, food came out quickly but when they run out, they run out. The carne asada was our favorite protein and the brisket wasn't as great as we hoped. The quesadillas and burritos were all hearty and full of flavor. The surprise dark horse of our order was the chicken tortilla soup that was more like a broth than the creamy tortilla soups we'd been accustomed to but with a delicious kick of cilantro to round it out. If you love mushrooms do not skip out on the portobello quesadilla. It is flavorful and fresh and so so good. We split a quesadilla and also the chipotle bbq steak burrito. Personally I didn't taste much of the bbq sauce if there was any, and my half seemed to barely have meat. My hubby said his side had a good amount so it seems like it wasn't disbursed evenly. My first review on Yelp and sad to say it's not all that positive. Oscar's Burritos sparked my interest since I enjoy authentic tacos and burritos. Got here around 4pm on a Tuesday and it was pretty quiet. The ambiance was interesting to say the least. My initial thought I had was it looks like a barn but I'm assuming that's what they were going for. It also had a small garden where some geese were nearby. Outside seating was available but didn't get to take advantage of it. Also, there was a little ice cream parlor part of the establishment as well. Looked a bit depressing but I came here for the actual food nonetheless. Menu had quite a few options but I went with the large spicy chipotle steak burrito and fish tacos. The burritos were made before the tacos so it took a bit longer as they started frying the fish a bit after which was fine since it's going to be super fresh. My burrito was just OK. The flavors of the burrito were trying to shine at the same time but ended up more lackluster. The steak was a bit on the dry side and I believe the spicy chipotle sauce was what was trying to save the burrito. The sauce gets my approval for sure but other than that, it was just mediocre. After a few minutes of waiting, the fish tacos were finished. They visually looked like the real deal and were nice and hot! Unfortunately, they were lackluster as well. All I tasted was lettuce, a breaded piece of fish, and a bit of sauce. The beauty of the tacos did not match the taste it could have provided. Overall, my experience at Oscar's Burritos left me unfulfilled and disappointed. It is not the worse but far from the best burritos spots I've been to. I've been looking for a good burrito since moving to Acton a year ago. Most of the places nearby are only so-so, but Oscar's is terrific. I liked the feel of the place as soon as I walked in, it's unassuming but I found it charming. The food I got was great and inexpensive. Parking was a little confusing and not super-well marked, but it was fine. I got a carnitas burrito which was very tasty and felt like a great value.
