Unfortunately…read morethe food and drinks were not great -- margaritas were sour and all the dishes needed salt, they were very bland except for the refried beans. There was also no AC which I thought could be because of the weather (it's really hot out), but I see it comes up in other reviews as well. Probably won't go back but if I do it'll be in the winter.

I have been here a few times since my last review and tried two new things…read more First, the tofu tacos. They were meh. Three stars. The tofu was just raw tofu chunks that had been marinated but not actually cooked in the marinade as far as I could tell. The marinade itself was tasty but if they had been pan-fried and a little crispy on the outside it would have been much better. Second, the calabacitas. New favorite dish unlocked! Zucchini stuffed with diced veggies and smothered in melted cheese. Comes with a side of rice and beans. So good! Service is always good and ambiance is fun and friendly. Margaritas are huge for a very fair price point given the size. I will certainly be back!

We enjoyed drinks, a variety of food, and a great time, but what really stood out to me was the emphasis on food allergy concerns. Three of the five of us had allergies and they knocked it all out of the park. Between limiting cross contamination to ensuring nobody's orders (we all ordered similar food) were mixed up, I felt safe and perfectly comfortable eating. The food was delicious, and we loved our fresh fish tacos and I really enjoyed the refried beans as well. Best spot around for Mexican!

My favorite is the bacon wrapped dates, but everything is good, the lamb chops, the duck, octopus, chorizo. I wouldn't drink it anymore, but it's the first time I've seen Kalimoxo on any menu in the US... brings me back to when I was in high school in the Basque Country of Spain. I had a birthday party in the back room and that was a highlight, everyone who attended said we should all take turns hosting events there. The restaurant staff was very laid back about it in a good way, a few weeks in advance we just sort of asked if we could reserve it and then came up with a menu of things to bring out and drinks to have available and it worked out and was one of my best birthdays I can remember. We played our own music on a speaker we bright in, very chill and fun. Some nights they have live music and that has been fun as well. I'd recommend for a date night, girl's night, or a party like a birthday (adults only), office going away, small baby or bridal shower. Probably not the place for a business meeting. Great spot in Maynard, indoor or outdoor dining.

While seeming very promising, our experience here overall fell a bit flat in my opinion. We came…read morewith a reservation for 3 and got seated quite quickly, but we came pretty early for dinner so there were plenty of seats open around us. Despite this, we got sat at a pretty awkward table - very long and it made things difficult for sharing unfortunately. The menu had a good mix of dishes, all of which came out as soon as they were made. The paella came out last and took quite a long time - we were already pretty much full from our other dishes so just keep that in mind if you order it. Most of the dishes were lackluster - my favorite though was the eggplant, I enjoyed that the most. Everything else was small and not super flavorful. Paella was yummy, but pretty expensive for the portion. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back out of my own volition, but I didn't mind the food - I just don't think the price and quantity/quality of food matched.

I've lived in Acton for over 20 years, and my family and neighbors love this place so much that we visit at least 2 to 3 times a week. However, I've never experienced anything so uncomfortable in Acton until now--especially since this isn't just a one-time thing, but happens every single time we go.

I have visited the Newton location many times and excellent pizza. I was in the area late evening…read morebefore their 9 pm closing and i opted to try the Sudbury location . It is larger than the Newton spot and a bigger bar area, more extensive menu with many pasta dishes, appetizers. The pizza is my preference . I ordered the Dante pizza and very good meatballs slices on the pizza . The beer selections on draft are all good. I think the pizza crust was better on the Newton pizza... or a perceived perception? But maybe because I really enjoyed the Newton pizza which was the L'oscar which was grilled onions, sausage, mascarpone , olive oil, mushrooms, mozzarella. Maybe the Newton water vs. Sudbury water in the dough theory or maybe I am just being an over anal analyst of the dough? Either case both locations have great pizza. I would test the water at both locations and see affects on the dough and which water had better preferred pizza dough qualities ? Maybe then filter the water or Bri g a 5 gallon jug of the better water for the dough ? Maybe the dirty Boston water or New York water in Bew York bagels theory? Or maybe who cares ? On a different note; The oven baked wings I had in Newton were very good and meaty with the grilled onions ... I do have 1/2 pie to save for next day lunch as their pizza reheats well. I like both locations and Sudbury easier parking .
