Great hidden gem inside the liquor store. Came in on a Sunday at 9 ish am. There were already lots of ppl in line. The aroma of the fresh bakery filled in the air as I walked in. Bought a few different ones to try out. My personal favorites are the almond croissant and chocolate twist. Coffee couronne has a nice coffee cream but I didn't like the exterior texture, kinda hard to bite into. Cinnamon bun is really good too. I cannot wait to come back for more!!! I never knew this place existed until today! It is located inside Hickeys Liquor store, they have a little area at the front of the store on the right as you come in the door. This is a serious hidden gem! We wanted to get everything but ultimately ended up with the maple pecan buns (amazing and so much flavor), coffee cream and walnut crown (so so good, tons of coffee cream filling), cinnamon roll, 5 cheese pizza slice, and spinach and caramelized onion pizza slice. I really don't want to recommend this place. I want to keep it for myself and keep the crowds out, but it should be known that this is one of the best places to get fresh bread and French pastries. I don't think this place is a secret anymore anyway, some of my favorites are the seed bread, the olive bread, ham and cheese croissant, and actually any pastry. Everything is great!! The woman that owns it is super nice. You can order things ahead of time and she will have them ready for you and if you're late picking up, thankfully, they are inside the liquor store and the liquor store manager is happy to hold the bag for you. Don't be deterred by the location (Hickey's Wine & Spirit), this place is a hidden gem. Everything is always super delish & fresh from the oven. I highly recommend trying the large slices of quiche (with flavor combos like squash/onion/Gorgonzola and bacon/cheddar wrapped in ultra creamy egg goodness), both sweet and savory croissants (the chocolate one is exquisite), and the meat pies with excellent flaky crusts and AMAZING fillings (the recent butternut/shallot/cheddar pie BLEW our minds), though you really can't go wrong with anything coming out of their kitchen. A bakery in a liquor store - what?!?! So glad I listened to my friends who recommended this place. Check out their Facebook page to see what they baked that day. The menu changes. There's quite a variety but small batches. Once it's gone, it's gone. Today I snagged the last apricot danish. Everything is DELICIOUS! Almond croissants are my favorite. I refuse to share. My kids loved the fresh bread. And I'm still dreaming about the focaccia. It's only open Thurs - Sunday. HIDDEN GEM! The bakery is hidden inside a liquor store with no visible signage from the street. Don't give up! Keep looking until you find it. It was absolutely delicious French bakery goods. Oh, my goodness! We love B.Food pastries! You can imagine yourself in a French Cafe...everything is so good! In addition, I placed an order for Christmas and apparently there was a glitch in their ordering system. There was no record of our order when we went to pick it up Christmas Eve morning. Well, what transpired is amazing! They told us they would deliver it to our house! Sure enough, not only an email saying they were cooking the pastries but about 7:30 Christmas morning they arrived at our house with fresh baked croissants to compensate for the online glitch! I am not exactly sure how to state this with enough emphasis. This is the best bakery I've ever been to. They literally couldn't be a better bakery if they tried. They are also just very nice people. They are very authentic french bakers, and it shows. We have tried almost everything they have to offer at this point: - Croissants - these are the best croissants either of us have ever had. The times we have had day-old ones (leftovers) are the second best. They also have a ham and cheese croissant, and it is spectacular. Also note, that I don't normally like croissants that much, but I cant stop craving these. - Breads - they have a phenomenal selection of breads, and all of them are really good. Special shout out to the focaccia, my girlfriend wont shut up about it. - Danishes/Brioches - every flavor that they have had is incredible, but the raspberry is on another level. As per usual, the pastry is a standout part. (My girlfriend doesn't even normally like danishes, and she is obsessed) - Pain au Chocolat/Chocolate Twists/other chocolate pastries - I am not the most chocolate loving person in the world, so here is what my girlfriend has to say about it: "The actual pastry is the standout, but the quality of the chocolate is quite good." - Fruit Tarts - "the most incredible tart crust I have ever had in my life, and also the filling is perfect every time" - girlfriend. I will add, that the pear and almond tart is something you should absolutely not miss. (we ordered a lemon tart and are so very excited about it) - Savory stuffs (quiches/brioches/danishes/pies) - as expected, these are also incredible. I cannot stress enough how amazing the bacon and onion brioche was, but everything else we have tried has also been exceptional. - Easter goodies - they apparently have this kind of thing for various holidays, the Easter ones are the only ones we have tried so far (to be changed obviously). The first was an Easter Nest that was a very lovely chocolate mousse in a pastry shell, the second was an Easter Couronne that was a light pastry filled with a hazelnut(?) cream that was extremely tasty. Also a nice thing to note, is that most if not all of their stuff is locally sourced and responsibly grown. They also carry coffee and tea, though neither of us are into that. tldr: go to this place, show them some love, they deserve every ounce of it. Also show yourself to the best bakery you'll find, you wont be disappointed. read more

They are rare to come by, these hidden gems, but I found one this weekend...shhhhh This french bakery is located inside a liquor store , which is kinda cool, though there's no seating, but at least always parking. We got the almond croissant. It was literally the best croissant I ever had. Flaky, not too buttery, and it literally melts in your mouth, not to sound cliché here. I have been to french bakeries before, but this is the real deal. The coffee , I got a light roast, was excellent as well. Everything here is SO good. I can't even decide on a favorite because I like too many things. The pizza is so good, the tarts are delicious, the raspberry chocolate, and almond croissants are everything I want in a croissant, the pecan rolls are the perfect amount of stickiness, the quiche is so creamy and decadent.
