We came into this place right before they closed. The staff was very friendly. The subs we ordered were amazing.

Do yourself a favor, drive 40 min to the Braintree location! Better service and better food.

My to go order was in the bottom of the bag! I mean the entire sandwich fell out of the bread because they didn't wrap it properly!

I stopped by this Amato's in Milford recently for dinner takeout, conveniently located off of…read moreI-495. Located inside of the Nouria/Shell convenience store, the Amato's food counter/kitchen offers a variety of made to order Maine Italian sandwiches/subs, wraps, salads, pizza, calzones, pasta, stuffers, pazzo, breakfast sandwiches, plus grab and go food from the nearby cooler. There is indoor table seating near the counter. Order at the Amato's counter, pay at the Nouria register at the other end and hand back the paid receipt to Amato's staff. I ordered the Pasta & Meatballs ($8.99 plus tax) and a large "Amato's Original Real Italian" Sandwich ($5.99 plus tax) which was made to order and ready in under 10 minutes. I was also informed that the staff originally added breaded chicken instead of meatballs for the pasta, but they also gave me both chicken and meatballs for no additional charge. I enjoyed my food for my tailgate dinner before a nearby concert. The pasta was served hot and baked in a round aluminum container with soft ziti pasta, a soft breaded chicken tender, 2 firm meatballs (cut in halved), a good thick red sauce, topped with lots of mozzarella cheese. The "Amato's Real Italian" Sandwich lots of Italian dressing, ham, cheese, pickles, peppers, tomatoes, black olives, salt & pepper in a soft open face sub roll, which was very tasty and messy from the dressing. Amato's is still a pretty good place to stop for food, quick and reasonably priced.

Inside is very cute, menu easy to Understand and a big ORDER HERE sign made it clear what to do They have set salads that all sounded great - I chose Mediterranean! The person working taking orders - Jade- was super sweet and explained I could customize it to my liking which is awesome - I don't like red onions and usually have to pick them out - so I was able to have them not put on! Also added a few other veg! Perfect! It came with white balsamic dressing which was tasty Took it back to my hotel - bowl was very full and every bite was delicious - nice fresh crispy greens with no wilted gross bits! A Plus in my book! Everyone was sweet, the cashier was so friendly - sorry I dont remember her name Would definitely like to visit again and wish there was one near me. Lots of seating inside but it seemed many were getting it to go. Inside was very clean as well- the prep counter was very tidy I saw them making a panini and it looked tasty as well Price i feel was a good value for portion and quality . Salad was about $12
