We wanted to like this place. It's clean and was near crowded. But the service was spotty. And the breakfast's were "ok"... pancakes were a bit mushy, hollandiase sauce on eggs Benedict was meager, the spinach omelette was a little "overdone"... nothing terrible, but essentially mediocre... the worst part? We've been going to diners for forty years... ever been to a diner where they didn't "hover" with a coffee pot? Here, they brought us coffee and NEVER not once... not ever returned or even asked about refills... Sunday morning at a diner? Crazy. read more

Tried breakfast here for first time. It was very good. I just got pancakes but hubby got Daddario omelette and that was delicious. It was sooo cheesy and big. Our waitress was great she was very attentive and gracious. Place is still new so hopefully ambience will pick up once in business longer. I would suggest everyone try it. I also got cup of soup to go; since it was still breakfast, but it was haddock chowder which I love. I will let you know how good that is. read more

Disappointed in my time here. Came in for a nice breakfast and got to listen to the owner belittling who seemed like a new hired chef. The food quality I received from this chef was excellent. However, the rude nature of the owner really put a damper on my time there. I will not be returning. It's a shame. The location and new diner were really nice. So this is the second time we've been here we are having the breakfast sandwich on a grilled English muffin with nice home fries they always come freshly cooked and grilled and the food is just the right amount of crunchy. It actually is perfect. Everything serves hot and fresh the service I really on top of everything. Lisa is wonderful. I don't remember the other service name. I apologize in a slam it today but they have room for customers right now they have at least probably out of 25 tables. They have like four or five available. They have one big tuxedo table 18 seater and about four smaller ones Come by while you can still get some hot fresh lovely breakfast served all day the pancakes, a light and fluffy the eggs and stuff are cooked to order and there's more than enough like the last time we came. We ended up buying two separate breakfast because my husband likes the homemade corn beef hash and I don't always like a lot of it so he got that I got eggs Benedict I end up taking half of my order home. He took half of his order home so we had breakfast like the next day And we only came in like the third day they were open before and everything was just right on point to everything now as of today they ordered flavored coffee so does hazelnut French vanilla and pumpkin spice and the pumpkin spice is delicious. Like I just had one cup and I'm on my second.Look forward to seeing everyone here you know I think this is all those hidden jewels in the parking lot behind honeydew donuts on 140 in Franklin. Look forward to seeing everyone here real soon open seven days a week. They open up at 7 AM Monday through Saturday or Monday through Sunday so seven days a week and they close at three on Monday through Saturday and two on Sunday on Sunday, I believe they only have breakfast. It's Mother's Day and our "go-to" diner in Bellingham is closed. We were looking for a new place and tho the several breakfast joints locally are ok, we wanted something new...to us. Yelp suggested Jimbo's Diner in Franklin, so we decided to give it a try. Well, we just found our new go-to place! The food AND the service was amazing! Isabella, with her pleasant attitude and smile was attentive and on the ball. What a great find! We've lived in the area for many decades and didn't know Jimbo's Diner existed. Well, staff is pleasant and attentive. I ordered a cheese omelet with home fries and toast. Bland and a bit overdone. Potatoes need some flavor like onion, paprika, something. Much to my surprise, the Iced Tea was $6.25! Both they offered a to go refill. I hope they make it. Good menu. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of our recent breakfast at Jimbo's diner! Nice big portions. Indulgent and yes, a little greasy (if it's authentic diner food, it has to be). Very fluffy scrambled eggs. If you love home fries, definitely do not skip Jimbo's. They use red potatoes, and they are nice and crispy. Coffee was great too, which was a plus! read more

Jimbo's Diner - 2 eggs home fries & toast - American Near Me - Franklin, Massachusetts

Jimbo's New York Diner - Not worth the hype. Two years ago I started seeing posts for Jimbo's New York Diner and like everyone else couldn't wait for them to open. We finally were able to go this morning. Let me start with I really wanted this place to thrive, but based on today's experience I can't imagine them being around very long. Food quality is horrible, serving lacking any sort of training, physical layout lacking and poorly planned, pricing is ridiculously out of line and the owner clearly is oblivious to basic customer service or simply just doesn't care. We were a party of 6 of which 6 of us had problems with our breakfasts. We started ordering coffee the cups were only half filled since they "needed to make more". At $4.50 per cup but it is a bottomless cup, you just can't get the server's attention for a refill. If you order is to go it's only $3.o0 (clearly just a money grab). The ice coffee is served without ice. We had to order ice separately. A glass of (non)iced coffee is $6.00 (again a money grab). Sweetener for the coffee is not on the table you have to go ask for it or wait until the server comes back. Jelly for the toast is also absent from the table so that "people don't take it home"Are you kidding me? You're charging $15.00 for a breakfast but you're guarding a 1 cent jelly portion cup! Even though the whole place is maybe 12 tables, it still took 30 minutes to get the food which we chalked up to working out opening bugs. The double auto open doors are still in use from the previous business, a grocery store and may have been appropriate for them but not for the entrance into a dining area. There is no waiting area so every time someone came in or left and you got blasted with cold air like a wind tunnel. There were some children playing in between the two sets of doors seeing how many time they could open and close the doors after 20 minutes of getting blasted, we asked our server if she could at least ask them to stop. Two of our party ordered well done bacon and was told "it doesn't matter how you order it he'll give it to you how he wants to do it, 24 years old and he thinks he knows everything!" When the food finally arrived it was stone cold but that's the least of the issues. The poached eggs runny but rather more like hard boiled rocks, the dry toast was buttered, one of the breakfasts was missing an egg. Another the eggs were also over cooked and hard. I My toast was lightly toasted on one side and burn black on the other but was then turned over on the plate to "hide" the burnt toast rather than just remaking it. The corned beef hash was sour and tasted bad. Furthermore, one of the plates had a hair on it (the gentleman that ordered it is bald). We tried to get the server's attention for 35 minutes but kept walking away from us. We finally went to another server and asked for a manager or owner. When the owner finally came over he told us we don't know what we're talking about, everyone loves the food. He said he's in at 4:30am every day making the hash fresh daily and Infact had already sold 125 portions at 10:30 in the morning. The whole place is only 12 tables so based on the time it took for our meals he either was untruthful or had 100 or so Togo orders of hash. In all fairness he did take two of the breakfasts off the bill but not before telling us we are wrong and don't know what we are talking about. Nonetheless it was still almost $80 for coffee and 3 breakfasts. He is certainly entitled to his opinion and so are we; what I do know is it appears over the past 2 years prior to opening the time was not spent training employees as our server confided she has only worked there 3 days and they gave her 15 minute this morning to learn the new items on the menu. Nor was it spent testing recipes, service standards or how to pursue guest satisfaction. What I do know is this owner has forgot a basic tenant of any business: an employee (or owner in this case) represents expense (in their salary). A customer represents income and by extension the reason for the business not an inconvenience or interruption to the operation. 2 and 1/2 hours just for a cup of coffee just isn't worth it. Let me start by saying I want to love this place so I am providing some constructive criticism to help them get the kinks out. Ordered the turkey club sandwich today - turkey was delicious, bacon was plentiful but the turkey was freezing cold - it would be better to have the turkey warmed to at least room temperature. Fries were also cold and needed salt. I will try again. read more
