The food was wonderful. When I eat out, I like to order things that I wouldn't make myself at home... and the complexity of their salmon dish fit the bill. The sweet, smoky flavor, mustardy goodness isn't something I've found done as well anywhere else. And the fish itself was cooked perfectly. They paired the fish with the heartiness of the harvest grain side dish you see pictured. It was a huge serving, and I ate the whole thing because it was amaaaazing. My waitress was lovely and efficient, and I also didn't feel rushed. What made it a four star experience rather than 5 stars for me was the ambiance. The music was horrible--like 1980's big hair band type music. It was such a bizarre contrast to the rest of the upscale ambiance, which looked & felt more like a steakhouse. To my chagrin, it wasn't just one "off" song either...the awful selections kept coming throughout the meal. The music gave it more of a dive bar vibe, and it was so completely offputting that I left sooner than I otherwise would have. It honestly gives me pause when I think about coming again. And that's a real shame because I'd like to bring others here to share the amazing eats. I may try it again on another day. But if the music is the same, I'll be walking right back out the door. read more

The Sunday brunch at 3 is consistently good. Try the brunch bowl or breakfast burger. In the warmer weather enjoy their beautiful outdoor patio area, which are great for grabbing a drink. The lunch and dinner options, while fine, I still view as overpriced. I'd expect better flavor for the price tag. read more

The food quality is excellent, and the menu offers an extensive selection, from salads and soups to pastas, fish, burgers, and more. I began with the delicious clam chowder. Very disappointing visit here. My friend and I always sit and share apps, wherever we go to catch up. She wanted to try 3 because a client of hers said it was good. We ordered two appetizers, and cocktails. After the appetizers, the bartender asked if we were ready to order entrees...she specifically asked about entrees to which I replied that we will just be sharing appetizers. She then proceeded to whisper to her other bartender, and they both kept glancing at us. When the other bartender came over, we ordered two more appetizers, to which she replied, "you know, the half price appetizers are only valid one per person. Do you still want to order that?" .....what the actual f is wrong with people in the hospitality service these days?? So incredibly presumptuous and rude. We never even inquired about the happy hour deal. Yes, yes we would still like to order what we ordered, and no, we will never be back for your mediocre food and drinks. read more

We went for a goodbye lunch for a colleague. I have never been before and man I can't wait to go back. There is plenty of of parking so no worries about that. There was a large group of us but the server had no problem making sure our waters and drinks were full and everyone was happy. This is a huge place with a huge menu. You can sit at the bar and enjoy a burger or sit at a table and enjoy a fancy dinner. There is something for everyone They started us off with some really good bread and oil to dip in. I am writing this review a few weeks late. We traveled from Pembroke to Franklin for dinner on a friend's recommendation. Mary who served us was pleasant, timely & knowledgeable! Mushroom soup was a special and, in my opinion, unique! Having culinary knowledge & experience I knew when Mary said they have a Sous Chef that it was likely to be very good and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the sliced Pork Loin with cranberry compote sauce that was a special and it was the best I have ever had! My wife ordered swordfish and she said her dish was very good too. Dessert was a homemade brownie with ice cream that was amazing! Even with a 2 hour round trip drive we wouldn't hesitate to return soon! read more

Issues This restaurant is good, just not very good. The atmosphere and food are more in line with what I would consider good bar food. I've been there three times, and noticed that thee was a general inconsistency in the food and the service. Once it was really good, the other time about average, and the other time less than average. But for a neighborhood restaurant and bar, there isn't any reason not to go. Tip: Don't try to sit at the bar as the same regular crowd seems to overtake the area and sit and drink cheap bottles of beer when there are customers "us" that are there to spend real money and the staff just didn't care. I ordered pan seared scallops with risotto. Just horrible ! 5 small scallops on rice. This was not risotto. It was more like minute rice w/ mushrooms and peppers. It was dry and bland. For $34 other than a few scallops the rice got tossed. Don't waste your money. read more

We recently had dinner at 3 restaurant in Franklin. We thought the entrees were excellent, however; the service had a couple of bumps in it, the server was in a hurry most of the time, and just doing the basics with service, dropping off items as needed. My wife had accidentally spilled a glass of wine, which I thought should have been refilled. When the check came, it was literally dropped off at the table and the server walked onto to the next table, and no thank you. We celebrated my daughter's 32nd birthday with my other daughter and her husband. The four of us sat outside on the patio on a warm afternoon. We had cocktails and raw oysters before ordering our main meals, Haddock, Salmon, Shrimp, and Scallops. Everything was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and provided great service. The birthday girl was given a free dessert and the rest of us got Lemon Cake and Crème Brûlée. We had a great time and enjoyed everything. It was very expensive but worth it. Wow! 3 has really stepped up their game with a huge wine menu and a bigger better outside patio which includes a bar with seating. Long overdue if you have a have been a regular for years. Yes 3 has been around well over 16 years with great service and a well thought out menu. A stepped up dining oasis in a area overrun with fast food burger and pizza shops. The delicious appetizers that made them popular are still here like my Thai Chicken skewers. Tender skewers season with herbs and a flavorful peanut dipping sauce. As usual delicious. Once a quarter, my team meets to go out for dinners and drinks and this was the choice for Q3. I've lived in the area since I was a kid and I honestly always passed this restaurant and never went in. It has darker windows out front so I actually always thought it was closed...I was clearly wrong and I'm so glad I got the chance to try this place! First off, this place has an amazing out door patio setup. I forgot to grab a photo but it has umbrellas, patio sectionals, tables, propane heaters for the chillier nights and a shipping container converted into a bar! It has such a nice, relaxing feeling to it and I'm sad I didn't visit during the summer, but with the heaters I'll definitely try to be back before it gets too cold. We ended up getting a bunch of starters while we had our own little cocktail hours which included spring rolls, calamari, chips and the buffalo cauliflower. My favorite were definitely the spring rolls and the calamari, but all of it was delicious and gone very quickly. My cocktail of choice was a yummy Pink Grapefruit-Tini. It was delicious and strong without being over the top. And the bartender gave the shaker with it and there was another half a drink in it every time! For dinner I got the corn chowder starter (special that evening) and then I asked the waiter to choose either the Steak Tips or the Milanese. He ended up picking the Steak Tips and it was amazing! I also got the asparagus instead of green beans and they were delicious. I rarely get steak tips, but my coworker also said they were amazing, so I'm glad I took a chance because *chefs kiss* delicious. Last but not least was dessert! And yes, my stomach was hurting by this point but dessert is my friend and I can't leave them out. I ended up getting the Chocolate Cake special and yeah..keeping with the trendy. Delicious.
