Neighborhood bar. Appeared to be regulars at the bar. Place went silent when we walked in. Like the Blues Brothers. Bartender cranked the music. We sat ourselves in the table area with grandkids. Bartender flipped one menu at the table. Then flipped a second one with specials. He came for the drink order and we weren't ready so he walked away annoyed. He came back and I started to order drinks for the kids and his attitude was so rude, I thought we were on Punked. We got up and left. I'm guessing they only need their regulars for business. Full disclosure: we were there for the entertainment. I invited a friend to join me to hear a talented young actor/singer, Jack Cappadona, at an establishment not far from her home. Jack plays the guitar and sings pop and easy listening songs... and just a bit of funk... from the 60's onward. Neither of us had ever been here before and found it to be a solid neighborhood pub with what looked to be a lot of regulars. They had a small menu consisting of mostly sandwiches, but we did notice a steak tip & salad special for $20.25, which we decided to try. The tips were perfectly cooked and quite good. This was an excellent value for the price. We were also pleased to find they served Josh Cabernet. We look forward to returning when Jack plays there again. Would have thought I had walked into Dicks last resort that was in Boston. One in our party walked in first then poked their head out, and they turned the music up to super loud. We then had the ONE menu literally THROWN at us. When we went to order we were met with pure rudeness. Never in my 38 years have I been treated the way the guy(bartender) treated us. The food was good... liked the wings and pizza. The place slowly got packed (band that night) and the bartender was on his own. He did a really good job managing the tables and the bar until the waiter started. I tipped him well. The ambiance is that of a local bar with a decent bar food menu - a few TVs (could use a keno tv in the 'dining' area), kept the band volume just right where people could still carry on a conversation. All in all, if you want a night out for a few drinks and food that won't cripple your budget, Jimmy D's works. They could use a few more beer selections - beer list was kinda light. read more

Worst service ever If I could give out negative star rating I would We went 3 times (obviously our mistake Each time we were ignored for over 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. The last time we were sitting at the counter. It was as if we were invisible. And it never seemed to be particularly busy Plus the food prep area was filthy. We got habanero wings (I'm a spicy food expert and I've grown over 100 types of spicy peppers)- and these wings were not good spicy. They were lacking flavor and only had heat. The cheeseburger pizza was basically a lettuce pizza. Crust wqs soft and the toppings were cold. Only thing that was plentiful was lettuce. HOWEVER/ Its a bar. Not a restaurant. Met some friends for an impromptu drink. We were sitting at the bar behind the grill and I was impressed by the way the chef was preparing and cooking the food, so much so that we decided to or a sirloin (not precut). It was cooked a perfect medium. I try to order veggies so I got all three they had to offer (carrot was cut fresh). We will be going here more often now. I picked this place based on the stars and we walked in and almost walked out. We had been here a few years ago but I think it was another owner/name. It smelled like cigarettes so we were about to walk out again when the owner and a few bar patrons said "No stay, the food is great!" The regulars playing pool moved their stuff off some tables and we grabbed a high top. The bar was pretty full. OK, I guess we're staying. The owner's wife immediately came over to our table to explain the food options. There is a tiny menu with some bar bites, pizza, and pasta with meatballs. There are 5 specials including prime rib, sirloin steak, and white wine risotto. Most people at the bar were drinking or hanging out. She was super friendly and chatted with us for most of the night. They have a few beers on draft and full bar. The owner was super nice and gave us some sauce and meat to try while we waited. The pork was divine. We ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls. Unfortunately they were out so we subbed in the buffalo wings. I've never had wings before so I wasn't blown away but my husband loved them. The restaurant was very clean including the bathroom. The cigarette smell went away and I realized there is a back smoking area that basically just blows smoke in. The regulars were going out there to smoke frequently. Management should try to stop this as I know most people don't like smoke around their food. However, if the regulars pay the bills... He got the sirloin steak meal - $17 for a HUGE steak, risotto, and spinach. Very fresh and delicious. I did sides only with risotto, broccoli, and potatoes au gratin. The bill was $53 for all of that with 2 beers. Our food took a while to come out but the pizzas around us seemed much faster. Working Mans Place I really like this place. An older gentleman who loves to cook, bought a bar, and caters to blue collar customers. The American dream. Jimmy's is a small place with about 15 bar seats and about 10 tables. The grill and fryer are right behind the bar so you see almost all of your food prepared right in front of you. I love that. The owner Jimmy really puts out a big effort and takes a lot of pride in the food he puts out and it shows. Delicious sandwiches, pizzas, wings, and burgers. He also has specials daily. All great. This is the kind of place where it's a bar that serves quality food for inexpensive prices. The best places. Hidden gem. Blue collar bar / restaurant with good food. Very reasonable prices and friendly patrons. I really liked it here - second time here and both times : we had great servers / bartenders and pleasant encounters with the local patrons . Food was great. Very welcoming. Good pizza and a solid PBR draft . If you're a snob you won't like it but if you're looking for a solid working class bar with great food at reasonable prices- this is the place. Met some friends here for some drinks. After staying a while a friend sitting on the inside of the table needed to use the restroom I stood up to let him get by me. As I was mid standing up a woman sitting at the bar came running over shouting that I needed to have my mask on. I was told that that this was the manager/owner. Strange because I thought she was a customer as she was sitting at the bar drinking. We will not be coming back here. Love Jimmy D's - it's become my favorite local place to get take out. It's a small kitchen/grill area but they put out some delicious food. I've also enjoyed the pizza, the burgers, the hot dogs and the meatball sub. All very very good. Great fries too. Their wings are the best around. The Thai peanut or the Sweet Chili are my favorites. Based on reviews I wondered if i had wandered into the wrong place. Very small, few tables. Dark, a good old fashioned neighborhood bar. Pool table and lots of locals. Nothing wrong with that, if that's what you're looking for but if not, don't stop. Not a kid place. Menu is one small placard with about 15 items. They do have specials daily. If you're trying to get a healthy meal, not the place. No salad, veggies or fruit. I enjoyed chatting with the folks at the bar. Jimmy himself was cooking. He was friendly and attentive. In the area found on Yelp. It is a very townie bar but in a great way. Upon walking in the owner introduced herself. Ordered just wings but after watching orders being made (kitchen area behind the bar) decided to order a pizza. Pizza was very good! Fantastic place! I got the wings and the steak tips. The wing sauce is awesome and homemade, the wings are nice and crispy, the steak tips! Great flavor and perfectly cooked. The steak tips were served with mash and green beans , these guys are hitting every mark. The staff was very friendly and made me feel comfortable with all the new rules and precautions. The worst customer service I've ever had. I'm not from up north, I'm from georgia , but when you walk into a bar and everyone looks at you like why are you in here, it's a problem right off the bat.. second when you are told you can sit where every you like, but they never come and say can I help you, that's another problem! Bar tender was disrespectful to a special needs employee in front of customers swearing at him. Owners didn't do a thing about it and have let said behavior continue to the point the child's mother had to force him to quit so he wouldn't endure how awful he was treated there. First of all every Tuesday is $8 burgers with anything and everything on them. We had no idea when we rolled in tonight and I feel the need to share the love! Tony was the chef and he prepared 3 perfect medium burgers. 2 with bacon and one with pulled pork. The fries were done to a turn and the pickles were crunchy salty delicious. We went for lunch on a Saturday. Sat at the bar and had cheeseburgers... the burgers were ok ...mine was a little bit too done (for med. well - no pink, gray all the way through)...got the tomatoes and onions (hold the lettuce) -- the onions weren't sliced, they weren't chopped ;...actually they were the outer "skin" of a red onion (the tough part). Grrr...I've never been served onions like that (and don't want to!) and I didn't want to embarrass the cook to ask for more onions and "from a fresh onion - sliced or chopped only". I didn't realize that there wasn't a kitchen per se in the establishment, more like a short-order grille next to the bar. I asked my husband if this was a place to come back to and we both agreed, no. btw - the waitress was lovely -- cordial - professional - warm and just the right amount of checking-in with us. read more

Definitely not what we expected- it's a bar!!! Plain and simple- 4 tables to sit and eat and a pool table. We really wanted to try the buffalo egg rolls and upon arrival we were told they are made daily- so we decided to stay/ mind you it was just my 17 yr old daughter and I after a long day of college tours and outlet shopping. The menu is small- 2 appetizers - 2 pizzas aNd lunch special. Dinner specials were posted on blackboard over car - chicken or Veal part and angus steak. We ordered the buffalo egg rolls only to be told about 10 mins after ordering that they were out- we decided to stay and ordered steak- mine medium my daughter Med well - mine came out Med rare my daughters rare - they were good and offered to cook longer for her - mashed potato's were from scratch and green beans canned. When I went, the bar was full of locals, surprisingly making a very pleasant environment. I started with a pizza.
