Tavern in the Square is a great new addition to the Bellingham area. It's is basically a sports bar with a huge bar area and TVs everywhere. You can choose to dine indoors or outdoors. The staff and waitresses were all very friendly. They offer a wide variety of dining choices. We enjoyed the Fish and Chips and the General TSO's Chicken. All were delicious. They also offer a large variety of beers, wines, cocktails, and mocktails. Definitely a great choice for lunch or dinner and drinks. read more

We visited the restaurant for the first time as a party of five to celebrate my daughter's graduation. The restaurant was clean and looked very nice, and we had made reservations in advance. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Even with a reservation, we had to wait several minutes to be seated while a larger walk-in group was accommodated ahead of us because we heard the hostess saying that to another colleague while we were waiting. There were plenty of open tables available that could have comfortably seated our party and appropriate for the occasion. What was most frustrating was that when you recon reservation it asks me what you're but it didn't seem to matter. Instead of being seated in a quieter, family appropriate more comfortable area for a special occasion, we were placed at a high-top table near the bar and the table did not even have five seats, a chair was pulled out from another table and placed in the aisle for one of us to sit. It was noisy, and uncomfortable for a graduation celebration. I want I want to celebrate my graduation at a bar. I would've gone to a bar. The food was also not to our liking, which added to the disappointment. The one bright spot was our waitress. She was professional, friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. Overall, while the restaurant was clean and the service from our waitress was great, the seating experience and food left us dissatisfied so not worth the $230 we spent. We were hoping for a more enjoyable and memorable graduation celebration. read more

Life is short . F......it up! Family, Flavor, Friends This place recently just opened up in the neighborhood. Haven't gotten to the other tavern had a good feeling about this one and it's closer. Located in a plaza mall in Bellingham. This place was packed and you definitely need a reservation to get in there. Very lively bar scene lounge lots TV. Good for viewing. Let's get to the food start off with the chicken wings with maple Coach Zhang really unique and a good job with the sauce, a little bit spice and you got that maple hit with the sweetness, although you could've done better with a little bit less sauce, but better to have more than less the other thing we started we had the steak tips. It was par as other American bistro types and I have the steakhouse burger. They're really good job with the burger little too much garlic, aïoli sauce, kind of drowned out the textures but when you get down to the edge of the bun, you didn't notice that they did do a good job toasting it so the piece that wasn't I have sauce is very crispy so definitely recommend getting the burger here and they have the tater tot option. Nice addition to the Bellingham area with a great location, modern atmosphere, and excellent service. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming, much like my experience at the Wrentham location. The steak frites was disappointingly tough and lacked the tenderness you expect for the price. The dumplings were just average and nothing particularly memorable, while the drinks were fine but did not stand out. Overall, the staff and setting make a good first impression, but the food simply did not live up to it. Hoping the kitchen finds its stride because the location has a lot of potential. read more

I have to write, by far one of the best places to go and relax, enjoy or have fun near Franklin, MA. On the side of bar I was on they basically had tall tables with plenty of room attached to the bar and you order directly from the bar which I've never seen before and it was great. Our bartenders were amazing and the breeze from the open balcony was refreshing. Good beer and great food with incredible staff and managed well. Great job here. read more

Great bar area and ambiance. Ordered takeout Caesar salad and steak tips. Got home and 3 tiny steak tips. Very disappointed.

First time here and we were so pleased, well at least with the food! We went at 4pm in the afternoon and it was not busy, we were seated and originally they were going to place us at a high top but had our children with us so we requested a boot. We were seated and not checked on for over 20 minutes, not one person came over to take our drink order or anything. Finally while many servers were standing around we were able to eventually get attention and have a server come over. After our server started she was amazing very attentive. The food was amazing! Lots of options and the drinks were great too! I orders the salted Carmel espresso martini and we also ordered a banana old fashion. Our meals came out quick and were delicious. We had the green goodness burger which was so tasty and the steak frites. Also started with the whipped feta dip which was outstanding! Our waiter was attentive and handled a busy night with ease. The feta dip was my favorite appetizer. My fish tacos were good, though the haddock seemed slightly overcooked with a charred, extra-salty flavor. The watermelon mocktail was delicious. I would love to see more mocktail options added to the menu. The FIFA game was on, and the atmosphere was very nice overall. However, I did notice some safety concerns: a few chandelier glass panes appeared cracked and should be repaired to prevent any risk of falling glass. During the hour I was there, I also saw two instances of servers accidentally dropping and breaking glassware. It might help to provide additional training for clearing tables or offer tubs/trays for staff to safely carry dishes. Not the serving trays that are used. read more

The food and atmosphere is great, but if you sit at bar the service sucks. It's was our 3rd time sitting at the bar and the bartenders seem more interested in chatting with each other than focusing on the customers. Why don't restaurants train their employees to focus on the customer? The Wrentham staff is considerably. Their waitstaff and bartenders are professional and customer focused. Bellingham has to step it up! read more

Had our first visit today to our new neighborhood spot and loved it! It is a large restaurant without the loud noise (not sure how they managed that). Property is gorgeous, food was amazingly fresh and flavorful. Bacon Blue burger is a must try and a favorite now. Sriracha honey wings were dreamy. Everything was served hot and plentiful. Grace anticipated our every need was sweet, efficient and clearly there for us! We can't wait for our next visit. Great job & congrats to you all. The Browns' read more

A new location vibrancy. Busy and loud. The food choices are identical to the other locations. Huge choices in draft beer, drinks etc. The Staff is mostly very young but they appear to be well trained and attentive considering the level of busy tables from first time patrons. It's a good location for watching sports if that's your goal. read more

A local Deaf family came to this restaurant for a Mother's day early on Thursday evening. The table was reserved and came in at 6pm. We sat there for a half hour with menu. No one came to us for a water and get our orders. I gave up and went to the hostess and manager that we were being ignored. I was not sure if the waitress decided not to come to us due to her/his bad experience with a deaf customer in the past or was it difficult to communicate with us. A manager, Jimmy came to us and apologized to us for not properly action. He offered us to take $50 discount card on our next orders. Then the nice waitress, Erin came to take our orders. She was putting much effort to communicate with us. We did appreciated her and Jimmy's effort to solve our upset minded. The food came up with a good flavor and filled our stomachs. We will come back for one more try and hope things goes well and better. read more

Nice new restaurant. Food was good. prices were average. Good welcome from hostesses. Sat at bar table. Bar server was. PM B Thursday April 23rd 7pm. Looked forward to a good experience but it was spoiled by bad attitude of server. Ordered a 20oz beer. I asked him if he could fill the beer to the top that was 2 inches below top of glass. He argued with me that all beer comes with a large head. He reluctantly filled it partially to the top. His attitude was dry no smile basically rude. My wife asked for a cosmo and to have the rocks on side. This ask was ignored. We received our meals from staff. Meals were delicious. There was no other interaction with bar server. No interaction if we wanted another drink or how our meals were. We had to ask another bar server for water. Left very annoyed and insulted by the experience I had to endure from this server with an EGO who is supposed to provide a good experience. Not sure if we will go back to this place. If I do get this server again I will make sure I tell them how they need to improve. To the managers. Dont employ people with EGOs and bad attitudes. read more

Be careful here! The female bartender changed my tip amount! I noticed when I was matching my receipt to my Amex statement. Mediocre experience today (Sunday). I love this restaurant and eat @ Framingham quite often. Sadly this fell short. M/R burger was well done and was missing the cheddar. Wife has a dairy allergy and they were unable to tell us if the aioli on the tuna was dairy free. First bartender came back and he said head chef was in a meeting so he couldn't find out. Really ? None of the 30 other staff on hand couldn't have helped you? Plus you just opened at this location so did you not have in depth training ? The other bartender I asked came back and said yes there is dairy so I asked what dairy does it have in it (since most people think mayo is dairy) and she said she'd find out but came back saying they can make a dairy free one but couldn't answer my question. Just weird. Anyhow it's a nice location. Hopefully they tighten up the training. Allergies are serious and vague answers are dangerous. read more
