    Baked Haddock

Not a fancy place but the food is good and the portions are huge so order appropriately. My favorite was the chicken Marsala which was not overly sweet. The rigatoni and the carbonara were very good. The haddock was okay. The Caesar was fine, nothing special. Of the desserts the chocolate decadence (lava cake) was by far the best. The fried cheesecake was okay. Service is a little slow but they were very busy.

This cozy little Italian restaurant has a bar and a lounge section and a separate dinning section fairly spacious. I got the linguini with clam sauce it was loaded with clams I enjoyed it. My guest got the fish with veggies and said it was pretty good. The staff brought me a pitcher of water when I had asked for two waters stating I drink a lot of water. She was both pleasant and knowledgeable.

Chicken Fontina - this was incredible

Came in on a busy Saturday night and was able to sit at the bar with no wait. The half wedge salad was more like a full size - it was massive but very delicious. We both got a glass of the Chianti - fair price of $11 per glass. They have bottles available as well, but have glass offerings that looked like one glass per type of wine. Cocktail list looked interesting and I saw a bunch of yummy drinks being made at the bar that i will have to explore next time! For dinner we got the chicken fontina (#1 seller per the bartender) and chicken saltimbocca - both we're delicious however i can see why the fontina is the best seller - it was unbelievable with two healthy size pieces of chicken pounded thin and breaded with prosciutto and cheese and a great cream sauce over the linguine. We were stuffed after dinner so no dessert - this time! The bar area is spacious with at least 25 bar seats, and the service was excellent. There is a parking lot so no issues finding parking. The menu prices were very reasonable - $12-18 for apps and $21-28 for entrees depending on what you're getting.

The leftover food Prezo didn't want our grieving family to leave the premises with.

I just went to Prezo with my family after a funeral. We brought a party of ~25 and paid for food for 40. It wasn't a great experience. Everything was going just fine. People were impressed with the food and the accommodations were comfortable, our servers were competent - we were having a good time. We had several pans of food brought out and people took their plates, but it ran out before everyone was served. With no food left available, our guests began leaving. After half of them said their goodbyes, and those that stayed had their ice cream... Prezo brought out the rest of the food - refreshing the pans. Things went downhill when people tried to take what was left to go. Apparently this is against Prezo's strict "no mediocre gang style chicken parm outside the building" rule. They absolutely refused to bring us to go containers. We had paid for the food, why wouldn't they let us take it? Is this lemon fish thing reheated for the next funeral party? Not accepting this, and without a to go container - I decided to take the food anyway - in the pan it was in. Naturally someone followed me outside to let me know they didn't appreciate that. I told them... bring me a to go container then - which they again refused. The gentleman informed me that all of this was in our signed contract. That was an interesting point considering we never signed a contract and this was booked entirely over the phone. I told the man to produce the contract and I'd return the pan - but of course, he could not. After a bit of a scene we determined we're keeping the food - and the pans, and we'll pay the $100 deposit charge for it. It's not worth arguing over. We left the sterno in the parking lot for em. What kind of place argues with a funeral party over half a pan of baked ziti? Not one I recommend you bring your large party to, that's for sure. Best of luck to them. The food was decent, for what it was. Could work on their customer service.

This is my first time in this place, place is pretty big, they had live music. The drinks were good, service was very pleasant, the food was great. My Ashiley chicken past was awesome, my girlfriend really liked hers to. I thought little over the price for a restaurant in Milford but as everything was good with the food, the service and the place itself there's no reason not to give them 5 stars, definitely coming back to try the other dishes.

Nice neighborhood restaurant - it has easy access to the high ways and close to the town. The quality was good but not great for the price. The service was great and the staff was very amicable from the receptionist to the bar waitress that served us. We had the risotto balls which were actually the highlight of the meal, highly recommend these! We also had the Stuffed Salmon and the Cioppino, both had good taste and generous portions.

Prezo- 3.5 stars. Rissotto balls- delicious! Cooked perfectly: soft inside, crispy but not to cripsy outside. Big pieces of parmesan shreds layered on top sitting in a puddle of sauce. Nicely plated and delivered fast. French Onion Soup: average to others. I liked the thin onion slices. It was delivered in a cracked bowl- I save my good plates for company so unsure why a staff member served us a cracked bowl when the restaurant only had 2 other tables filled. Chicken Parm: Lunch size- plenty for lunch! The chicken was cooked perfectly- tender and each bite had cheese and sauce which I like. I did mix the sauce into the pasta. It created a lite sauce. I like a lot of sauce but it was good. My Boy Blue drink- love the cup it was served in! It was a little strong which for the customer is a bonus. It was flavorful and I enjoyed it. My husband was super happy to see Battery Steele beer on tap. He liked the beer choices on the menu. I can say I made the comment to my husband I felt like the dining room was not cozy. Felt cold. I like the modern flare but it was missing something. Also, found it off our waitress was wearing a shirt that had 'staff' written on the back. I feel like this took something away from being at an establishment that does not have a drive thru. Overall a decent place for a meal.

I actually did return, to sit at the bar and watch football. This time, I ordered the Harvest pizza. It was pretty amazing: Four cheese blend, roasted butternut squash, caramelized onions, bacon, pumpkin seeds & a sage honey drizzle. The flavors worked well together and the sage honey was worthy of finger licking. This place is a win-win.

I was pleasantly surprised! We were greeted and seated right away. The atmosphere is very casual and there were families present, as well as singles, young people and seniors. The decor is unremarkable, but it was bright and clean. The noise level was very loud, making conversation somewhat difficult. Probably not the best choice first a first date, but we managed. I decided to have the Eggplant Parm, a true test since it is one of my favorite dishes. My date was elated to find they were offering clam chowder, usually available Fridays only (and this was Saturday). He ordered a bowl and was satisfied, along with the bread. It was thick, creamy and received great reviews. My meal was amazing. It was a very generous portion, so that I took half home for the next day. The angel hair pasta was cooked perfectly Al dente, the sauce was delicious and the eggplant was fried perfectly - a tower of thinly sliced heaven with Just enough cheese and plenty of sauce. It did not dry out overnight in my refrigerator, as leftover pasta dishes often do. My only complaint is the noise. We were seated only a few yards away from the entertainment - a woman singer on acoustic guitar - but we could not hear her. After our meal, we asked to be seated in the very full bar area. The hostess and waitress kindly found us a high top. Again, we were close to the stage, directly in front, but unable to enjoy her because of the noise level. I will certainly return, but it's not somewhere for deep conversation or for the entertainment. It's all about the food and, based on my experience, well worth it.

There was no valet service, and the parking lot was already full, but we found a street parking spot very close to the restaurant. We were seated immediately at a window table overlooking the pond, one of Alicante's nicest features. We've dined here many times over the years, although our last visit was disappointing due to sluggish service. Fortunately, this evening proved to be a return to form. Ice water, wine, and warm bread arrived almost immediately as our attentive three-person service team got us settled. While the evening specials were tempting, we opted for two longtime favorites from the regular menu: Piccata di Pollo - $27 Shrimp Scampi - $29 Total with wine and tax: $84.53 Our entrées arrived promptly, hot, and beautifully prepared. The chicken piccata was exceptionally tender, complemented by a bright, flavorful lemon-butter sauce. The shrimp scampi featured perfectly cooked shrimp in a classic butter and garlic sauce that was well-balanced and not over-seasoned. As always, the portions were generous--enough that some of the chicken accompanied us home. After one less-than-memorable visit, it was nice to see Alicante back at the top of its game. Excellent food, attentive service, and a beautiful setting make this a restaurant we look forward to visiting again. Tip: Even though Alicante is on Route 16, you can park along the road. The sweet, smoky flavor, mustardy goodness isn't something I've found done as well anywhere else. And the fish itself was cooked perfectly. My waitress was lovely and efficient, and I also didn't feel rushed. What made it a four star experience rather than 5 stars for me was the ambiance. The music was horrible--like 1980's big hair band type music. It was such a bizarre contrast to the rest of the upscale ambiance, which looked & felt more like a steakhouse. To my chagrin, it wasn't just one "off" song either...the awful selections kept coming throughout the meal. The music gave it more of a dive bar vibe, and it was so completely offputting that I left sooner than I otherwise would have. It honestly gives me pause when I think about coming again. And that's a real shame because I'd like to bring others here to share the amazing eats. I may try it again on another day. But if the music is the same, I'll be walking right back out the door.
