Cute place, mosquito net in doorway sets the tone. Small bathroom in the kitchen area was fine. Popular place with both young and old. Veggie omelette was good. Slow to receive our food once we ordered. When putting my cream cheese on my bagel noticed there was mold in the cream cheese. I gave it to the server immediately and I said bring me a new bagel. 10 minutes later no new beagle and no acknowledgement from anyone. Would have at least expected a apology from the manager. Hashbrowns were good my over easy eggs was okay. My husband's omelette was over cooked. The restaurant was very busy. But that's no excuse not to try to make a apology. read more

It's a cozy restaurant with very friendly staff! I ended up getting their day special omelet (spinach , tomato, Swiss, bacon omelet) and it was pretty good! I do like my food slightly salty and spicy so I added some hot sauce for more flavor. For dessert My family and I shared a piece of their homemade apple pie and that was delicious! I had not eaten here in over 20 years and I had fond memories of dining here with my parents when I was a kid so I stopped in again with a friend to have breakfast. The restaurant wasn't busy, less than half full at the time. After receiving our drinks, I had ordered the grand slam combo while my dining partner ordered chocolate pancakes. Over 30 minutes passed with no signed of our food, while the two tables of what seemed to be regulars or friends of the staff who were seated after U.S. Promptly received their food before us. Finally my friends pancakes arrived but still no signed of my food and only to find the inside of the pancakes still liquid. The waitress promptly took them back and five minutes later brought me my breakfast. His pancakes took another 15 minutes before they were finally redone. The food was nothing special, in fact I would even go to say as far as breakfast is concerned it was less then average. The service was okay if you don't mind your kitchen slip being put behind all the regular customers and you don't mind waiting over 30 minutes for eggs. read more

Not a bad place to grab a quick breakfast. Good alternative for Depot St Tavern ( which is much better ). The coffee is not great here. So don't expect a good cup. They still use cheap coffee. The food is average but consistent. read more

First off the place is cash only not a fan of cash only places but wanted this to be the first part of my review so people know. The service was awesome very friendly and attentive staff. Our order came quickly after placing it and food was fresh off the griddle. Everyone's food was cooked properly to the way we ordered it. The food was ok home fries lacked flavor. French toast was just bread dipped in egg it seemed no cinnamon, vanilla or milk mixed in. Best parts of the meal were toast and sausages neither of which are made in house. In my opinion it's ok as a last resort for breakfast but will deffinetly be in to try lunch and see if that's where they shine. read more

The restaurant itself is clean and welcoming, which is expected as it just opened and everything is new. The staff is slow, very slow. They also seem to rather talk to themselves in the kitchen than take your order or check in if you need anything. The food is decent, typical breakfast food but home fries lacked flavor and French toast was very plain. Pretty disappointed. Also, a tip for the chef: When you order an omelette, the cheese should be melted, not still in square form and cold. It's also odd serving orange American cheese in a restaurant not white, I would consider changing. Overall, I probably won't eat at this place again. read more

We went on a Saturday morning at 9 am.... 1. Very small interior: 7 tables that fit 4 adults and one table wedged in the corner for two...which is very awkward to get to. Plus, a counter with approx. 12 seats. However, if you are of the tall variety, it is uncomfortable to sit at the counter and there's no place to put coats and bags. 2. Wait service was not the best. They took our order while we sat at the counter waiting for a table to open up and people that came in AFTER us got their food before us (and ate it and left while we were still waiting!!) We also ordered drinks and those took forever to get to the table and they arrived one at a time. Only two waitresses for the whole place: one was on the ball and the other wasn't. Can you guess which we had? 3. Omelettes don't include cheese; that's an extra $1, but we didn't see that listed anywhere on the menu. We figured that out when our bill arrived. So $6.95 omelettes, which seem reasonably priced, are really $7.95. 4. Food took a ridiculously long time...we didn't order anything complicated. Veggie omelet, sausage and cheese omelet and a small order of french toast. And a corn muffin that my dining companions enjoyed thoroughly. 5. Kids' drinks are served in a glass glass....apparently they don't have plastic, or paper?? That was a first for us. 6. However, the food was fine....once we got it. Nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. 7. Definitely a townie kind of place, and if you aren't a townie you don't get the same level of service. Overall, the food was fine, the parking is tough....we might give this place another shot, as it is convenient for us and there are limited options for breakfast in this area. read more

The Garden is hot and cold...go if you're going at an "off" time...not a holiday weekend, not 9am on a Sunday....then Go!..the food is great when the owner is there, but they have a "B" team (that acts more like the "D" team) that works on things like holiday weekends that's horrible and just doesn't get how to multitask during a busy time. If you happen to realize that you have their waitress Denise (you'll know, the one with the really bad attitude...) do yourself a favor...get up, and come back another day. read more

This is a fantastic old school diner. Food is simple, clean, and fast. It has a nice cozy atmosphere that can only be found in a local place. In a town filled with chains, I will always chose this tiny unpretentious kitchen. Prices are Very reasonable. The booths fit four comfortably, I would not come here with a larger group. Great for two getting brunch. Both parking and seats are limited which keeps down crowds. read more
