Good spot. Had a smash burger there while live music played. Tap list has a good mix, lines are clean and cold. Would go again.

This place is better than it seems like it should be, if that makes sense…read more The first time we went it was a Monday night and our son was turning 21 at midnight and nothing else was open. Walking in at just after 11:30 to a group of somewhat rough looking regulars might have turned us around, but again, nothing else open. We told the bartender why we were there and to make sure he'd be OK serving him (MA has weird laws sometimes) and was assured no problem. At midnight, he had shots lined up for us, did a countdown, and then the whole bar (10 people maybe?) sang Happy Birthday. At one point the owner, hearing it was someone's birthday, came out with a cupcake and a birthday seat cover. How incredibly nice for non-regular randoms who came in late on a Monday night. A great reminder not to judge a book by its cover. In this case, both the bar and the patrons. We stayed until closing to play games and talk to some of the folks at the bar. It was a great experience. We've been back since to and every experience has been great. We played some darts and enjoyed some mixed drinks just last night and found, again, great bartenders and patrons. If you remember you're going to a dive bar, where every now and again the regular is going to get served before you and the food is "good enough", you'll have a great time. The most important part, the drinks, are always A+.

I came down here for Open Mic Stand up Comedy.(Every Monday 7pm AKA Spanky's Comedy) 1st time here,…read morethe bartender guy was friendly and seemed cool. Got a 2 White Russians, $20 total including tip. The next week I came back, this time it was a younger women bartending. I ordered 1 White Russian and it was $13.81 or $15.00 with tip... Huh? Did you give me someone else's slip? I pointed out the price discrepancy. She replied: "maybe he didn't ring it in as a White Russian???"... Look, I paid for it under protest. But, perhaps next time I'll only get the drink if the dude is working.

Came to bowl two games. The lane we were assigned to had someone's half-eaten plate of nachos…read moresitting right on the table where you sit. I moved it aside. It was still there throughout both our games. At the beginning of the first game I went to the bar to order drinks and a snack. Couldn't find anyone there. Stopped a worker who was walking by, asked how I order food for the bowling lane. He said they come around at the lanes taking orders. Great... so I went back. Half way through the game, nobody showed up. Went back to the bar and told them nobody has come around to take orders. No apology or "I'll send someone right away", just asked if I want to order at the bar. Ok, so I did. Then, nothing showed up for the rest of the game. Finally at the end of the 10th frame bartender comes up and says they don't have the ingredients to make the drink. So I said forget it, we don't want anything. Then we went to do axe throwing. Nobody was working at the axe throwing counter. Had to walk all the way around to find someone at the bowling desk, who eventually went to the axe throwing desk. Then they moved us from one booth to another to another because they couldn't get the machine to work. Took a while, error messages showing up and the worker didn't know how to push the "ok" button on the error messages. Finally they got it to work. The axe throwing wood targets are in TERRIBLE SHAPE! There were several HUGE like 2 inch wide gaps in the wood so that several times the axe would hit perfectly but inside the gap so it bounced out even though it would have stuck if those gaps weren't there. C'mon management, maintain them! How much could it cost to replace big rough pieces of lumber? Positive things: the price is right. This place cost about half of what other bowling alleys cost. The place seems fairly clean and not run-down. It has potential to be a successful business. It was not a terrible experience but definitely needs better management. Management: pay attention: How to Have Successful Business 101: Stock the bar. (I see a few other review here about how the bar was lacking supplies). Maintain the facilities. Have servers clean up and take orders. You will make more money that way! Make sure employees are present and motivated. The employees seem not to care. They need to at least seem to be pumped up and cheerful and eager to serve the clients. They could earn lots of tips that way too.

Four of us splitting them so one whipped feta cheese dip wasn't enough but we ordered another. My friend got the chicken parm which she really liked with the pesto pasta underneath. While a few of us split some pizzas. We got a large half and half of buffalo chicken and the primo pepperoni pizza. Then we wanted to try the sweet ricotta and vodka pizza special so we got a small. The special was so good!!!!!! Plus the other two are our favs so we knew they'd be good. Crust is yummy too. We also split the raspberry chocolate cake which was delicious. Our server Theo was also super helpful and took good care of us. Check out this place for a good dinner and support a local business!

The inside of the restaurant definitely has a cool vibe and was a nice size. I do recommend making a reservation online in advance. At the end of the day I gave this spot a 3 only because the food was mediocre. I ordered a custom ricotta and pepperoni pizza and shared some fries. Both left me feeling disappointed (and I am not a picky pizza person, trust me).
