Upon entering my first thought was dingy, the floors needed to be swept and there were crumbs underneath the paper placemats. There was only one other table occupied in there, and the hostess/waitress was just sitting relaxing with her feet up. She brings over the menus and takes my drink order, my husband was in the bathroom? But okay, she brings my drink and says I suppose you want to wait for him to order, umm yes I do. We finally place our order I ask for medium, 1/3 of it is raw, 1/3 is medium well the rest some almost leather and 1 bite was perfect. My husband said his food was edible but not good. read more

The food was ok, but the service is terrible. Two women where there seating and serving and one was on her phone FaceTiming most of the time leaving the other to take care of everyone. Two of our orders had minor mistakes. The AC was off and it was terribly hot. We asked for it to be turned on and it was not, even though they said they would. We had to ask for our check multiple times. The prices were a bit high for a diner experience. Overall it was very disappointing and we won't be back. read more

Unfortunately we had a bad experience here .. I had ordered a Belgian waffle .. Actually 2 of us at the table did.. Mine tasted funny and separated (top & bottom ) very mushy on the inside. Done on the outside yet raw on inside. The waitress took it back once we showed her.. The owner/cook brought it back out with the waitress, proceeded to tell me that I was wrong that it was well done that I had used too much syrup! I'm a diabetic... I watch how much of it I use.. Which was barely none! Needless to say we won't be back! Our waitress was very nice and very apologetic. Management ethics however leave much to be desired.. Don't embarass your customer to try to prove yourself right, when you were clearly in the wrong. read more

Wanted to support a local business but even my husband, who loves diner food, did not like this place. First off, they have renovated the old D&D and have new ownership. It looks like a family owned restaurant and I see them posting on FB a lot to promote it. They have renovated parts of it but it still wasn't very clean (sticky table, dirty carpet, dusty blinds). On the plus side, it is a very large space which is good for a large group. They also have a new menu... It was ok. My eggs were well cooked but the homefries were so bland and had no taste. There were lots of burned pieces but not flavor. My husband ordered a greek omelette with bacon and got no bacon. At least we weren't charged for it. He tried to get the waitresses attention for 20 minutes to try to fix it but she never came near us. The menu was supposedly different but still basic diner breakfast food. The other food we saw looked great but our's was average at best. Prices were fairly cheap but not cheap enough for the low quality food. :( The worst part was that the service was terrible. One of the waitresses told us at the end of the meal that one of their main girls was out sick but they had 3 people and we waited forever for drinks, ordering, etc. We were seated by one girl, another greeted us, and then finally another one came by as our waitress. 10 minutes and no coffee... It's nice that she explained why but there were so many people working there, it should sort itself out. There were at least 3 waitresses and 2 bus boys in addition to cooks. I just don't think we'll be back. read more

Had a great experience with my husband and 2 kids early Sunday morning. The best French toast I've had in a long time, even though it was my daughter's leftovers. I finished a hungry man plate plus some of hers, the food was so good! The bacon done just right. Friendly staff and seemed very appreciative for the business. Almost hate to share a great secret spot, but would definitely give this place a chance if you're looking for a breakfast spot. read more

Only gave them 1 star cause i cant post without 1. But breakfast was terrible. Went yesterday for breakfast did not know new owners and management. We had coupon that i get and use for several years. This year it was different instead of b1g1 it was only $3 off second breakfast. Figured ok i always order the same one so thought it would still be ok. However the new coupon doesnt allow for #1,2. Or 6 which is usually only one i order. I then Noticed the change of owner etc but figured it would be ok. The server said i couldnt get it. She said you have had it for a year why didn't come before. Thought that was rude. We ended up ordering cheese omelets w cheddar and grilled english. When they came the cheese wasn't melted. The english was dry so we asked for butter. The home fries were sitting in grease. We put the butter on when she brought it but i took one bite and it tasted funny. I think it was bad. I didn"t finish my or his breakfast. The server never asked how it was or if we had a problem. We were sick for rest of day and evening. We will definetly not be going back. Majors changes would have to happen. When i got there at 7 they were just opening. There was no one there as customers. It used to be very busy especially at breakfast. read more

Absolutely awful! I ordered steak and eggs this morning. The steak was tough, over cooked and did not taste good. I ordered my steak medium rare. The meat resembled jerky. The potatoes were hard and the toast was soggy. I also did not receive the juice I ordered and paid for. read more

Ehh not a place I would go back to. Atmosphere is best described as basic. One member of the party ordered eggs Benedict snd got a plate of hash with scrambled eggs on top. The other person ordered the Alex special which was french toast and eggs, the eggs never showed up. French toast was good, hash was burned. I stopped in for breakfast yesterday. Everyone was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked in. Our server was super nice. She chatted us up and was very attentive but not overbearing. The food was very good. Pancakes were delicious. Eggs were perfectly cooked. Bacon was crispy and perfect. I would only suggest two things that would have pushed this to 5 stars: The breakfast potatoes could have been cooked longer. They were still very good but needed more time on the grill. There was no AC, and while it wasn't oppressive - it was warm inside and could have been more comfortable. There were a lot of fans which helped but I think the only way to solve being a little too warm is to add AC. Regardless, we will be back on a cooler day and will bring others. Thanks! read more

The new management of D&D has done an amazing job, it is a complete 180 flip of the place. Oh MY GOD! The new menu has so many more things to offer! I got the Eggs Benedict. Probably the best I have ever had. The 2nd time that I went, I took my wife and the kids for lunch. The kids loved the chicken finger and grilled cheese (their meal comes with a drink) . This place is like having breakfast at your aunt's house. Like in a good way. Like if you love your aunt and her food. Granted I'm a little biased because I know and love the owners very much but they treat everyone like family so you'll fit right in. The food is solid and the eggs Benedict are some of the best around. So glad they're in our area! read more

Came back here again, and am still in love. The food keeps getting better along with the service

The food is not terrible, however, it has come under new ownership and some of the staff are not the greatest. Today I ordered very simply a 3 plain buttermilk pancake plate with a side of sausage links. An extremely simple order, but they managed to screw it up entirely by giving me pancakes with chocolate chips in them, and entirely forgetting my side order of sausage links. They also screwed up my grandfather's order by giving him an entirely different bread from the toast he'd asked for. When I tried telling the waitress this, its as if I was talking to a wall as she didn't even respond to me about it. Had to ask the main host for my side order like 10 minutes after id told the waitress as she never returned until she decided to give us the check. On top of all of this they were very inattentive to the table. My drink had ran out long before the food had arrived as it was the first thing id drank that morning, and yet they ignored me entirely whilst happily refilling my grandfathers coffee. No way to get any attention unless you walked to the kitchen as they just didnt check on tables at all. Will not be returning thats for certain. read more
