    Irish Benedict - excellent
    Jeannine O.

10/10 Irish Benedict with corned beef hash and home fries. Excellent. Daughter had the Belgian waffle and it was excellent. Custardy in the middle with layers almost like a popover or Yorkshire pudding. Loved it!

    2 egg over easy,bacon,home fries

Breakfast is always great, hot, tasty . Coffee is really good and plentiful. Clean and server's are very friendly, love coming here always good

Steak and eggs with pickle on the side. Yum!

A busy Saturday morning but we were welcomed and served fast and polite. Amazing food, from French Toast cooked perfectly to steak and eggs super giant plate. I love discovering new places around the house and this one is definitely one I will come back to. (Check out the before and after pics) ;)

Do not understand the lack of reviews and also lack of stars. This is a typical old school american diner experience. We re-visit every other weekend. Very family friendly and prompt service. The portions are huge and we always have leftovers to take home. We usually order one of their combos and either waffle or pancakes. I personally like the hash and pancakes. Do give it a try you wont be disappointed.

Not good at all. We had very slow service. we put our food order in when she finally came for the coffee order. Hoping it would help speed things up. But was wrong. I asked for an egg sandwich on white bread with bacon and no cheese. But that was not what I received. It was more like an egg with bacon mashed into it. It was gross and I could not eat it. But could not get anyone to come over to to make a new one. When she finally came by again I ask her to take it off the bill. Which she did but, charged for the toast since I ate it? My boyfriend got an $8.99 omelette but they do not come with home fries. Potatoes are cheep you needing to charge extra is greedy. The toast was cold and the butter did not melt on it. His milk cost as much as a gallon. And coffee dose not come with meals on the weekends. Their cups are also very small. We will not be returning.

Always a favorite "go to" place for good wholesome breakfast food! Portions are very large and prices are reasonable. Not known for ambience which is fine! I gave it four stars because I've actually seen manager/owners reprimand staff. Not good in front of customers ! But the food is fabulous so I will keep coming back!

Huge feta and onion omelette....I barely finished a third

Fantastic place to go. This was my first visit as I waiting for my car to get serviced across the street. Service was great, coffee was awesome and the portions were huge!!!! The price was reasonable. I paid 13.00 for a huge omelette homefries, a side of bacon and coffee. If you ask me that is a great price. I would definitely recommend and would go back again :)

Yay!! A place that can cook poach eggs properly.

A&J used to be a great restaurant for years. Now they consistently burn the home fries. :-(

Blew my expectations. Delicious. Home fries with onion were the best! Sausages are cut in half and cooked.

The crinkle-cut fries were fried to crispy perfection. The quahog and chowder get a true New England stamp of approval (I grew up here and now live in the Philly area, so I know what I'm talking about). The fish and chips portions were enormous, golden, crispy, and delicious. Even though the inside was packed, the staff cranked up the heaters and gave us the patio all to ourselves, which was a great touch and showed how much they care about their guests. The place has a classic New England feel, bringing back memories of growing up camping at Normandy Farms down the road. The owners were welcoming and genuinely hospitable, which really set this place apart. Fantastic food, nostalgic vibes, and top-notch hospitality. On to see the Tom Brady statue -- Go Pats!

Both were delicious and excellent. My salad could had been larger, but it was not bad. The Lo Mein had the right amount of seasonings and not too salty. Very good. I will preface that the restaurant was extremely crowded and maybe short staffed. Our dishes took forever since a lot of the other guests (us included) were attending a comedy show close by. Our sever did apologize and mentioned the kitchen was backed up. And, the General Manager also apologized after the fact which I appreciated as well. Food: I ordered their Harvest Salad with Steak on it and it was awful. Steak had no flavor and also came with very little dressing. My husband ordered their Buffalo boneless chicken and said they were lacking sauce. Service: Lacked due to the overcrowded of the restaurant. We sat awhile before being greeted and our drinks took forever. Ambiance: the restaurant has a warmth and nice decor making you feel very comfortable here. Bar seats are very comfy. Overall: 3.5/5 we have been here before and always had a nice time. I think since it was very busy they could not handle the timing of the food and deliver excellent service. I will be giving them another shot for sure. Cheers ~

The dining room is absolutely massive and I'm sure it could fit a large number of people, so I don't think making a reservation is ever necessary. The food came out fresher, the drinks were good, and the overall experience was much better sitting down in the dining room than ordering takeout. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and easygoing, and our server did a great job checking in without being overbearing. That always makes a difference, especially on a weeknight when you just want a relaxed dinner that goes smoothly. The food itself was solid, with plenty of good options on the menu, and the drinks were well done. It's a comfortable local spot for dinner, drinks, or meeting up with friends. That said, they still really need a bigger place. The current space works, but it feels like The Gavel has outgrown it a bit. With the kind of following they seem to have, a larger dining room would make the experience even better. A place I never knew of I was taken here one night for dinner. It is a place where you can look at…read morethe menu and then sit down waiting for the order to arrive. It is simple and plan. Nothing fancy. As it was, there were not many tables taken at that time yet. But within 30 minutes the place packed up. It was locals who know this is a the place to go, grab a beer or cocktail, then sit down and wait to see what you ordered. Burgundian is a meal to enjoy while having conversations with many others. We started with the IPA beers we ordered. They also had good German beers to select. There are even other European beers available. The list is endless to have. First up to arrive was our Traditional Canadian Poutine. This is House Fries served with Cheddar Cheese Curds, hot beef gravy and fresh scallions. This can be a meal unto itself and is ideal with the beer. We also received a kids meal for a little one. It was chicken fingers and fries. It was so large an adult could have had this for dinner. There was enough left for the next day's lunch. It was fresh, tasty, breaded, and warm. Ideal. There was also Burgundian App Sampler Platter. This was a mix of 2 Arancini, 2 Halloumi Cheese Sticks, 2 Crispy Polenta "Fries" , 2 Wings served with a choice of dips. Again, it could have been a dinner, but with others it was a good dish to share while waiting for the dinner to arrive. We started with US Staycation Burger, switching the beef with chicken. It had melty Three Cheese Blend, Shredded Lettuce , Pickles, and topped with Burgundian mayo. Naturally there was a side of fries and a small salad. It was fresh and tasty and had a flavor to enjoy. Naturally, had to have Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles. Buttermilk-Fried Chicken Thigh coated in house seasoning. There was creamy Memphis slaw, a spicy sauce you can select and a good hot honey drizzle. The waffle was fresh and enjoyable and ideal for breakfast as well. This was perfect for dinner or breakfast or anytime of the day. One special they did have, and which is not easy to find, is a good Germany Burgundian Currywurst Sausage Dog. Made with a true grilled Knockwurst Sausage it is on a toasted roll that is topped with smoked gouda cheese and caramelized onions. There is curried ketchup which is a variation of what you do find when you order this in Berlin. It too had fries on the side. The taste was good. It was similar to what I remember when living in Germany. And it is a rare find in many restaurants. But here it was. And with a German beer, it was good. Overall, Burgundian is a place to find. It is not easy, but it is there. It is small and simple. You enter and order at the counter. You can go from Beer to a coffee. From an Appy to a meal. The portions are large. The prices are good. The team is good to work with, ask questions and help. This is not a fancy place, but they will take reservations. Your choice here. A true mix of flavors, and cultures, and ideas on what to have next. I will go back just for the Currywurst. Danke.
