On our way down from Boston, we stopped here for dinner. The restaurant was just 2 blocks from a EV charging station so it made sense to eat while we were charging my husband's Ioniq 5. We made a reservation on their website and got seated promptly. We noticed how cozy and clean the restaurant was. Very inviting. They have steps to the main entrance door and a ramp for those with a mobility accessible device. Our server was very bubbly and friendly. We got a salad and a Lo Mein dish. Both were delicious and excellent. My salad could had been larger, but it was not bad. The Lo Mein had the right amount of seasonings and not too salty. Very good. Located right off the main square, it's a great choice for a meal. They have about 20 parking spaces in their private lot including one handicap space. read more

Went on 7/15/26 because a friend recommended it. It was really just o.k. We had clam chowder ($11) served warm, not hot, Candied Pork Belly ($16), which was just like eating one spare rib from a Chinese restaurant. It was served hanging on a hook with brown wilted lettuce dropped on a cutting board. Picture below is right after we took it off the hook and cut a small piece off. We also had shrimp tacos ($26) which were just o.k. and a roasted garlic and Ricotta Flatbread ($18) which I think they forgot to put garlic in it. Would not recommend. read more

Stroll down to Union Straw! I've updated my review from a 4-star to a 3-star since our last dining experience was not that great. I will preface that the restaurant was extremely crowded and maybe short staffed. Our dishes took forever since a lot of the other guests (us included) were attending a comedy show close by. Our sever did apologize and mentioned the kitchen was backed up. And, the General Manager also apologized after the fact which I appreciated as well. Food: I ordered their Harvest Salad with Steak on it and it was awful. Steak had no flavor and also came with very little dressing. My husband ordered their Buffalo boneless chicken and said they were lacking sauce. Service: Lacked due to the overcrowded of the restaurant. We sat awhile before being greeted and our drinks took forever. Ambiance: the restaurant has a warmth and nice decor making you feel very comfortable here. Bar seats are very comfy. Overall: 3.5/5 we have been here before and always had a nice time. I think since it was very busy they could not handle the timing of the food and deliver excellent service. Upon entering the restaurant you were met with a cute little sitting area. We were seated quickly and our server who was great got us drinks right away. The menu is small but everything looked so good it was difficult to decide what to get. We opted for the goat cheese hot honey appetizer and clam chowder to begin. The chowder although tasted fine it was soupy. Our waiter was so nice and didn't charge us because we didn't finish it. We then order the Mac and cheese because I need to get that from every restaurant as I consider myself a self proclaimed connoisseur. It had a nice sauce, pasta could of been more al dente and some pepper would of made it a touch better than it already was. We also split a bbq flat bread pizza and an incredible lobster roll. The roll came with home made chips and a delicious French onion dip! Everything was very high quality and to some it may seem pricey but I definitely felt I got my money's worth. Stopping in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Located right in Foxborough center, so it is easy to get to. The inside is cool, hip & has a great modern vibe. The menu isn't giant and well thought out. I hate going to a place that offers so many options that they cant execute them all to perfection. Union Straw owns their dishes, everything came out perfect. Attention to detail is the name of their game. We got crispy gnocchi which everyone at the table loved. I tried one but I don't like gnocchi so my opinion is worthless on this one. I got the kama Jamaican chix Sammie, it was great, the roll, slaw, chicken breading all perfection and so juicy! We ended the meal with a delicious skillet cookie with ice cream. The prices are very fair! I'll be back. Service was great and attentive. Let me explain, I had found them on Yelp months ago (from reading things about the brunch) and today (Saturday) me and Hubby were trying to find somewhere to go and I thought - Ooh lets go here, I called them at 1130 and asked what time they serve brunch until and the girl said 2pm... Get in, are seated right away and was given a lunch menu - we asked for the Breakfast/Brunch menu and was told they only serve on Sunday and right away I was like AARRGGHHHH - the waitress - who was super cool btw noticed I was perplexed... I mentioned how I called and was told until 2, and she even was like - Why wouldnt she say - Ooh Only tomorrow... and I was super in the mood for breakfast. So we went through the menu and grabbed wings, fries, a flatbread & the Hubby got a burger. OMG OMG OMG - redeemed... The wings were GOOD, and I dont even love wings like that - our server suggested the dry rub and Im so glad she did, it was great, the Truffle fries were good, The crab rangoon flatbread - SPOT ON, tasted just like a Crab Rangoon - So good.. His burger was ok he said, but the chips - Yeah those were phenomenal as well! I was in Foxborough and I was told that Union Straw is the best restaurant in the city. With that said, I decided to see if it was true. To begin, I ordered the chicken wings, but they were somehow out of them at 4PM. So I ordered the tenders instead. After a while, I received the tenders which were mediocre. To explain, they were crispy, but a bit overcooked and dry. They could have been better. Thereafter, I ordered the truffle burger with Parmesan fries. After waiting almost an hour, I finally received the food. Knowing that, it was actually very good. To breakdown, the burger was tender and the beef was flavorful. In addition, the bun was fresh and nicely toasted. Also, the truffle aioli was delicious, but they barely put any on the burger. In the same vein, the Parmesan fries were delectable. To prove, the fries were hot, crispy, and were fluffy on the inside. Additionally, the Parmesan added a nice flavor. These were great fries. If you're going on a weekend night go early or make a reservation, this place jams. I thought the bartenders were great, kept a check on us while we imbided and waited for our table to open up. Kitchen is an open concept, small and very busy and these folks put out some tasty dishes. It has a hall type look so not the most intimate place but they sure do a great job with what they have going on. I had the glazed Pork Chop, I know it's not the fanciest dish you can get but when it's cooked right it is DELICIOUS and they cooked it to perfection. I like this place a lot. read more

Went for a Thursday lunch. When we entered there was a man at the desk who never greeted us nor acknowledged our presence. We stood around awkwardly for a moment and said "do you think we seat ourselves?" He must have heard this and said someone would be with us shortly and he walked out the front door. A few seconds later we were greeted and seated. Our server was kind and pleasant. There was a table that was finishing up, 2 folks at the bar, and a table of 4 people when we arrived. We ordered our food just a few minutes after the table of 4. Soon after, other patrons arrived, 2 people at 2 tables. At some point our server stopped by our table confirming what we ordered. He apologized for the lengthy wait. He came back again and gave us chips on the house because of our wait. The other 2 tables were served just moments after. We ordered a salad and flatbread...and it took forever. Luckily we were treated to chips (which were NOT fresh from the fryer) as it was almost a hour from when we entered the restaurant until we were served our lunch. (It was not crowded...only 5 tables the entire time we were there.) Our server later apologized and took ownership saying something along the lines of forgetting to put our order in. I realize my review is long but I loved everything about this place and didn't want to leave out any details! TLDR; Great atmosphere, nice waiting area, fantastic service, outstanding food FULL REVIEW: After an afternoon/evening of shopping at the wrentham outlets we decided to go here for dinner. Only 10-15 minutes away and it was definitely worth the trip! Unfortunately I failed to make reservations so we had about an hour wait. But it turns out that wasn't a bad thing. They have a beautiful lounge area so you can grab a drink at the bar and relax or chat with others like we did while you wait for your table. After what felt like a shorter wait than expected, we were shown to our table in the far back of the building. Not quite the same atmosphere as the main dining area - it seemed more like a room that would be used for private events - but still nice. We informed our server Nicole it was our first visit and she seemed excited and eager to describe the menu items and help us make a decision. She was great! Would ask for her specifically if we are able to return. I had the smoked mezcal old fashion to start and it was good. Priced fairly as well. But for me the highlight was the food. The flavors are just out of this world!! My burger had so much going on in a good way, just wow! My wife ordered a flatbread which was equally as flavorful. Instead of fries I ordered Ceaser salad based on Nicole's recommendation and started with that like an app instead of having it served with my burger. It was great, one of the best I've had. I was full but they mentioned an in house cheesecake that I had to try so I took it to go. I'm so glad I did, I ate it when we got home and it was just as incredible as the food! It's unfortunate this is over 1.5 hours from home as I would love to come back regularly to try other menu items. We went here for brunch on Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. Reservation is highly recommended! From the outside, it looks smaller but once entered the place is bigger than expected. The food was good but service and drinks needed some improvements. Our server didn't bring the hot sauce I asked for after 3 times and she didn't give us syrup for the pancakes. They didn't have lobster bennies available even though it's listed on the menu. The steak & egg entree didn't have home fries because that was also not available. I ordered a mimosa and the drink was flat. We didn't see any bubbles at all. Hopefully next time I come back, I'll see improvements! read more

What a surprise! Went here for the first time when my sister was in town. The food was excellent and what a great drink menu- we couldn't decide which one to try first. Food here is always superb, but I went for brunch the other day and it was magical!! The cinnamon bun is pictured here, which was to die for. The chef's hash was a chorizo hash, and it was fantastic. Crispy, flavorful, and they even were kind enough to do scrambled eggs for me instead of sunny side up! The drinks were great as well, and ambience is always top notch.
