This was my first time trying Burtons and I had a very underwhelming experience. I dined on a Wednesday evening and opted to seat at the bar. The service was very lackluster. It wasn't too busy, but the bartenders moved at a slow pace. It was actually happy hour, but I didn't know that until another patron sat by me and mentioned it. I decided to try the short rib grilled cheese with French fries. As I waited for my food, one bartender offered me the complimentary bar chips. My grilled cheese was decent, but I could not say the same about the French fries. They were cold and not fresh. When I asked for fresh fries, they tasted like they had just been refried, which were inedible for me to eat. Overall, Burtons was okay. I don't know if it was just this location, but maybe I will try them again at a different location.

6/3/26. Omg. I've been to Burtons Grill & Bar before. But first time doing the Bar Experience. Our Bartender (Scott) was amazing. The food was amazing and he understood that my friend and I was on a longer lunch mission. Those "Bar Treat Chips " so Yummmm". I put a few in with my leftover wings . If you haven't gone. Please do for an Amazing experience and Chef Kiss Food too. The Ambience is "Frank Sinatra's Unforgettable ".

Popped in late on a Sunday night, got a seat at the bar and enjoyed a nice meal ( tuna & chicken), the atmosphere and decor has a modern fresh take. Service was quick and both the tuna and chicken meals were excellant , came out hot and platted well. Loved it.

My first visit to Burton's in Mansfield. We made a reservation and were seated immediately upon our arrival. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very comfortable and decorated nicely. Our server Becky was very attentive and informative. Two of us got the rib eye steak and it was amazing and cooked perfectly. Another guest got the chicken piccata and loved it. The desserts were great! I can't wait to go back again very soon!! Such a great addition to Mansfield Crossing!!

Wonderful first experience at the new Burtons! I love to see a restaurant busy on a Tuesday night and the staff working hard. I was impressed, the place was professionally ran and all food and drinks seemed fresh. The Parmesan truffle fries were without a doubt my favorite! I can't wait to come back and try other menu items. No complaints, just a tip, if you like ketchup, be sure to ask for a few sides of it!

Tried for the first time and loved it! Great service and the food was amazing! The gluten free menu was one of the best I've ever seen, so many options available.

Short Rib Hash and French Toast!

Love this place and the food. Cibo Matto has their work cut out for them and will need to spice their menu up (over the years it has not changed much) I love Burton's extensive gluten free menu and their Gluten Free Calamari! I can't have the sauce it comes ( As I am Gluten and dairy free) so I request Marinara and it does not disappoint ! Husband loves the bolognese best in the area so he says. My go to is their beet salad I ask for NO GOAT CHEESE and it's literally a pile of beets with crushed nuts and Arugula and it's perfect! Although today we went and it was a brunch menu. Husband tried the French toast and it looked like a bread pudding! He said it reminded him of the old Cheesecake Factory French toast before they changed it up years ago! I had the short rib hash and it was my least favorite dish to date. Overall we love this place and the interior! We have been several times and plan to go several more!

Great place and food. Parking can be a bit tight, especially due to the snow banks; inside is a delight with excellent food and atmosphere.

My husband spent a dollar more and got the brunch burger which I sampled and it was head and shoulders above this sad little chicken sandwich that had very little flavor and should be taken off the menu IMO. It looks like a sandwich you would get from Panera, not a place like this. I want to give our bartender credit for the hard work she was doing attending to surrounding tables and bar patrons by herself. I also will give credit to the restaurant for the amazing truffle Parmesan fries and my yummy decaf espresso martini. But for the love of Pete -- stay away from this pathetic, tasteless and overpriced grilled chix sandwich that sounded great on the menu but failed miserably IRL. They can and should do better.

It has almost a cult-like following after reading the reviews. In my experience, everything I have ordered was okay ... but nothing incredibly amazing vs. the price. I have not seen higher menu prices outside of Manhattan. Two sandwiches and one beer came to $78 after the tip. You read that correctly ... a burger with fries, a pulled pork sandwich with side salad and the cheapest draft beer on the menu ... $78!!! The wings/tenders were over $20 ... in fact, other than the side upgrades, nothing on the menu was under $20. If you are charging $25 for a 'diner burger' and fries, it better be an amazing burger. Mine was no better than Five Guys and less tasty than a Shake Shack. Given the prices, one wouldn't expect that you'd get potato chips with your burger. In order to get French fries ... it's a $5 upcharge. A side salad is $9. I don't mind paying more for quality ... and Blackie's quality is probably high as their meats, vegetables, potatoes, etc. all list the origin place. However high the quality is, for me anyways, the food doesn't seem much different taste-wise, than anywhere else that is much less expensive. Having said that, the portions are huge. The nachos look like they are meant for an entire table and everything is served on metal cafeteria-style trays. Good for them though because the place is huge and always packed. The crowd here is very typical 'Rhode Island'. Expect to see a lot of anchor tattoos, lifted Jeeps with no doors in the parking lot, young 20 - 40 year old crowd who probably played high school football or baseball back in the day and still enjoy telling stories about it. There are no shortage of cross-fitters here. There is a nice buzz of conversation and energy ... but this is not the place you want to go if you don't like crowds. Inside is weird. The walls are painted black and the chairs/tables look like something in a boutique hotel. It looks a little more like a corporate hotel lobby or wedding function hall vs. a restaurant ... especially given the typical crowd. This is not the sports bar it appears to be on the outside. Overall, my 3-stars may seem harsh. But that's an average score ... and honestly, my food has always been average. Maybe I need to try the pizza. If you have deep pockets and like huge portions, you probably won't be disappointed in this place. The service is great, although 2 people working a packed bar, you will wait a bit if you need anything. Also, I came to watch the big game and for some reason they hung pendant lights which dangle down from around the bar. While they make everyone look better, the TVs are blocked by the lights. Very odd.

We came with a large group, and let's be honest, that can go left real quick at most places...not here. The service was seamless, attentive, and genuinely warm from start to finish. No one was forgotten, no order was mixed up, no delays...just top tier customer service across the board. Now let's talk about the food...because wow. The bread basket came out fresh and warm (dangerously good), and set the tone immediately. I had the stuffed fish, and it was cooked to perfection--flavorful, well seasoned, and not heavy at all. Paired it with a fresh salad tossed in a mustard vinaigrette that was light, tangy, and just right. And the mocktails? So good. Crafted beautifully, refreshing, and not an afterthought like some places make them feel. What I love most is the consistency. Whether it's date night, a casual dinner, or a big group outing, Burtons shows up every single time. Great food, amazing service, and an experience that just feels easy. 10/10...every time.

The "togarashi-crusted" tuna was not crusted at all--completely bland, with no seasoning or flavor. It tasted like it had been frozen, thawed, and simply dropped into the bowl. The rest of the ingredients were just as underwhelming. Everything was placed in separate, unappealing mounds around the bowl: a pile of tasteless sushi rice with a few sesame seeds, hard and underripe avocados chunks, unseasoned raw shredded carrots, smashed vinegar cucumbers with no trace of cilantro and beside that were the overpowering pickled red onions. To make matters worse, it all sat awkwardly on top of a mayonnaise ginger-soy aioli that did nothing to bring the dish together. There was no balance, no cohesion, and absolutely no flavor. It looked unappetizing and tasted even worse. I barely touched it. The server never asked why, and even if she had, I was with coworkers and wouldn't have felt comfortable saying how bad it was. For $28, this was unacceptable. Honestly, it felt like something a child threw together--bland, poorly executed, and completely lacking care. Would not order again.

We sat at the bar and the bartender was great fun. Service here is top notch. I ordered a coffee with milk and she brought steamed milked. Nice. The menu is limited and still has a good selection. A few salad options, seafood, pastas, lots of appetizers. Focaccia was brought out with oil. This bread is soft with a tasty garlic salt topping that really pops. At the bottom of the basket, under the focaccia, are house made potato chips! That's a tasty surprise. We began with an assortment of apps and salads. The Burrata comes with prosciutto, which sadly makes me ill, and they nicely put that part of the dish into a separate plate so I could share. The burrata is creamy and smooth. With the toast points and fresh, crisp heirloom tomato this is a lovely starter just right for four people. Their Caesar salad comes with a mix of greens and is smothered in good grated cheese. I chose the arugula salad which is a mound of dresses greens, again, smothered in a good grated cheese. Their pasta is cooked al dente. Well done kitchen. And the Bolognese got a high score from my cook friend who makes their own. I went with a burger which got excellent reviews from people we know and our bartender seconded their opinion. Both the burger and the truffle fries that accompany it, had waaaaayyyy too much salt on them. Another of my dining companions said their meal was also over salted so whoever was cooking that day was heavy handed with the salt. Between the Burrata and salad, I wasn't overly hungry, but I was looking forward to a really good burger and I was instead very disappointed. I ate half the burger and one fry. The ladies room, located down a hallway, sort of behind the kitchen, is absolutely lovely with full stall doors and flowers by the sinks. So much attention to detail. Their parking is shared with the entire shopping area so plan to walk a bit from the parking lot. There are a few handicap spots out front if you can get one. All together the meal was no more than the pizza place across the street and the food here is far superior so definitely worth it. Service is excellent, food is quality, presentation is beautiful. The restaurant itself is elegant and relaxed. Very much like restaurants in Italy.
