The service was great everyone from the time we walked in till we left was friendly. The menu had many great selections to choose from. Haven't been here in years and my wife wanted it for Mother's Day dinner. I called up to place an order and the girl on the phone kept saying "what?" "huh?" and was extremely rude. Place was packed due to it being Mother's Day. Lady behind the bar was pulling her hair out due to food orders and drink orders, but she was super nice to the customers. My pasta and chicken was bland and had no flavor. They got my wife's order wrong, got mashed potato instead a baked potato and got a whole 5 pieces of meat (got medium when I asked for medium rare) in her steak tip dinner. If you are spending $25 for a dinner, could you spare it? We spent about $100 for dinner for 4 of us and it was a total waste of money. I had the Prime rib special (only thursday nights) hubby had the sirloin! Both dishes were very tasty and not over seasoned(something we have walked out or restaurants for). The menu was very reasonably priced compared to most restaurants in the area & the service was spot on! Our waiter checked in with us a few times as she walked by not being invasive while being engaging enough totally plan on going back! oh and I also got a seasonal drink special that was an apple cider Margarita. For my sister's birthday, we decided to stop at Wetherlaine's Restaurant for an early dinner as we had tickets for a night event at Capron Zoo, located down the street. To start off, I ordered an apple cider sangria, which was one of their fall special drinks. It was SO good and well balanced. We then ordered potato skins, which was cheesy For entree we decided to share the sirloin & bleu flatbread and mac n cheese. Really great local place with plenty of choices. Nothing fancy, just a local spot but the waitresses are super kind and the food is decent. We have a toddler and they've always been really kid friendly for us. The clam chowder had almost not done potatoes, mixed with fully cooked ones....very little clam. There was a tangy(lemon)taste I have never experienced in clam chowder. The "bowl" was the size most places call a cup. The side dish(sauteed spinach)was blanched, not cooked. I could barely cut it with a knife, so took most home and re-cooked and added flavor(garlic, pepper, and flavored olive oil). Much better. My husband liked his spicy tuna dish, but it came with two sides. He ordered one side of spinach, and then a second one(for me), but we were served a separate side-in its own dish-and charged full price(so he forfeited a side). Service was slow. read more

I have a gluten & dairy allergy and ordered a build your own burger on a bed of lettuce, caramelized onions with no bun. I told the waitress I don't need a side, just throw some bacon on the burger instead. The bacon was gross, it was bacon bits that were so hard itd break your teeth. Give me whole real bacon not that crap. The burger was so greasy all the lettuce underneath was wilted and there was a puddle of oil under the burger. It literally made me sick. I WAS CHARGED $25! For that. $25, for a burger with no bun and no side. Everyone else around me ordered burgers that came with sides and had far more toppings and their burgers were only $15. Makes no sense. We ordered 4 Fishermen Platters and 1 regular fish and chips over $120 order plus tip! This was the most disappointing meal we've ever had here. I've raved about the great meals served here on my ELITE YELP posts in the past and I was very surprised at our first take out order. The fish was not done! The breading fell off the shrimp and scallops and the only redeeming factor were the fries and clams. Even after putting the fish and shrimp and scallops in our oven it was no better. Although the service was efficient the quality of food was subpar and not our usual experience here. I wish I could get a refund but these are trying times so I'll take the hit but I'll wait for you guys to reopen to eat here again. Take out service needs serious attention. The atmosphere was very casual. The restaurant was clean. I was very impressed with the menu and the food. I personally liked how everything was extremely simple. I ordered the It was simply dressed. It was rice and I ordered also were cooked perfectly, I am the type of person who likes simplicity! Standard bar fare food. Steak tips, potato skins etc. however they do have a very large menu including fish & Chios and pasta. It's great for fast takeout. It does get crowded but mostly at the bar area. It's worth a visit but it's clearly not a high-end restaurant and it doesn't pretend to be high-end either. Sorry this review is late it was from August I've been very busy plus I work nursing so we do not have a lot of free time and wish to post that all the things I have to post. I was not very impressed with the meal had been a many years ago I felt the restaurant was a bit overcrowded. We had gone there with our daughter and husband after her doctors appointment expecting our new grandson in September. I felt very rushed and hurried from the restaurant the food came it was definitely not of the quality that was used to of Weatherlaines but because my daughter was paying for everything I didn't say a word I just ate a couple bites and left it they seem to be OK with what they had a husband and her stepdad had a burger. His was a little undercooked but it was a clubs him to get it could probably would've had to send All back to go apart again and it just seems like a waste of time. Not too long after they gave us our food they brought the checks over without even asking if we want a coffee or a dessert or if we had anything else you'd like to get. I just felt rushed so as such have not gone back there again. Not sure when I'll go back or if I will go back but I probably will go back eventually since I would go there before many times before Covid and was never rushed out of the restaurant like I was that night. This once amazing restaurant has gone down hill fast The service was exceptional but the food quality was very subpar. Second time eating here since July. That time was not very good either. Decided to give it another shot. My grilled chicken avocado club was disgusting to say the least. It was large chunks of avocado on dry bread. The grilled chicken was like it said GRILLED like on a grill. Both sides were over cooked and brown making for a tough to bite into. The inside of the chicken was extremely dry. My friend had a bacon cheese burger ordered WELL done. It arrived with a piece of cheese that was over cooked and hardly melted. The burger was still rare inside when she cut it in half to check the wellness. It was sent back and returned well done. Obviously it was the same burger (because the cheese was worse and it was still cut in half) and how do you cook a burger on just one side. They did replace the bun! Both orders came with fries which were probably the worst we've ever had. They were NOT crispy, yet soggy like if they were sitting in a take out box or something. I usually have enough food for leftovers but I opted not no eat 3/4 of the meal. When the waitress asked me what was wrong, I told her. She was able to get it taken off the bill. Tonight wasn't a great satisfaction from this restaurant! I occasionally order from this particular place because it's close to home but recently the server that I spoke to and placed an order had an attitude.! Not sure why but she hung up on me it must of been an accident but if it was I would think she would call me back knowing my phone number! She did not I replaced the call to make sure the order went through and again I was treated as trash I decided not to call back they obviously don't want the business and I don't feel like I should be treated this way. I hope the owner or persons in charge take care of this situation because I think they will endure a lot of losses considering a small town and everyone talks yes I understand the establishment is geared to the older generation but what about the young? I visit Wetherlaine's often. It's a great place to sit at the bar and have a good beer or ale from a good draught selection, they are well stocked, and can mix up almost any concoction you want. The food is very good here, my wife and I usually split the spinach artichoke dip and mozzarella wedges, which are made of high quality cheese that is luscious and stringy, and has a nice crunchy golden brown breading. (The marinara sauce is rich, full of herbs, and adds a nice zip to the mozzarella wedges). The spinach artichoke dip is nice and hot with deep flavor, and is never oily or separated like a lot of places. I usually get the spicy wasabi ahi tuna and have them serve it to me on a burger bun, to have as a tuna burger. I get it rare, and it comes out seared well, and nice and raw in the middle. The tuna steaks are rather small, and aren't quite enough for the actual spicy wasabi ahi tuna dinner plate, but the other entrees are generous. The restaurant is rather cramped, dark and dated. The bathroom situation is comical, and is not accessible. The waitstaff are neat, efficient, attentive and friendly. The bar staff are very knowledgeable, neat, professional, fairhanded, helpful and friendly. They make you feel glad you showed up. Wetherlaine's is located on a very busy street, but has ample parking in the i paved lot across the side street. It's a great place to come to with the family and the menu selection will suit almost anyone looking for good bar food, but don't want to break the bank. read more

Chili Nachos & Broiled Wings ABSOLUTELY delicious!! Me and my friend got full off the appetizers while drinking our delicious frozen pomegranate mixed with strawberry margaritas and chit chatting about everything under the sun.
