Side of pasta in vodka sauce

The place looked like a super cute and quaint place for a nice girl's dinner so went ahead and made easy Saturday night reservations via Open Table. The parking is as difficult as all the reviews state - so as my fellow yelpers recommended, if the lot looks full, it's full - just park at the CVS and walk over. It's way too tight to wait around and maneuver for a spot. Walking into the place reminds you of being welcomed into a friend's comfy home. We were seated in a back room that felt cozy. Bernie was our server and he was a delight, super personable and attentive. For apps, we had the 1/2 size eggplant rollatini and 1/2 size spinach and goat cheese salad. Rollatini was good, salad was umm interesting - had a ton of fruit on it with a dressing I didn't love but it wasn't bad, just not sure I'd get it again. Onto the entrees - everyone really enjoyed their meals (short ribs and seafood cardinale) except me lol. My side pasta with pink vodka was good but my Chicken Rossini (labeled as a staff favorite) wasn't bad, it just had a flavor I didn't care for, a little bit of salt did help it but I wouldn't get it again. We enjoyed our visit very much and I would def come back to try other options. All of the staff were wonderful. Bernie mentioned to come back during the summer months as they have the patio open. Perhaps we shall when the weather is nicer and we might even luck out with a parking spot.....

Fun brunch spot to check out with friends! I'd never even heard of this place until someone mentioned it, and I'm really glad I ended up going. It has such a cozy, quaint inn vibe that makes it feel a little special without being over the top. The food was great, honestly, the home fries were my favorite. It's a bit fancier than I expected, but in a good way. They also had live music, which was a nice touch. I'd definitely love to come back when it's warmer and sit outside since it looks like they have some really nice outdoor seating.

Soooo good! We went here after visiting lasalette lights. The vibe is so different from a normal restaurant we loved it. The food was excellent.

Chicken Franciase (angel hair pasta with tender chicken in a lemon caper sauce)

Been wanting to try this place for a while! First, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. On Wednesdays there is a special three course meal for $37.00!! Mine included: first, a HUGE side salad with a delicious dressing and warm, baked bread. Next the chicken franciase - tender, beautifully cooked chicken with a delicate lemon and capers sauce, topping angel hair pasta and freshly shaved cheese. Finally, bread pudding - dense and flavorful, with caramel sauce and whipped cream. The waiter was running the entire place - the bar area, dining room, all on his own. Even still, he was attentive, efficient and informative. It was a great meal and I look forward to visiting again and trying something new!!

Great service, tasty food, cozy vibe, and nice music. I'll definitely return. Parking is limited, and it's not ideal if you're looking for something quick. This is more of a fine-dining experience.

One of my favorite restaurants, the several small dining rooms let the experience be intimate. The food is delicious. I usually always get a steak, namely prime rib or ribeye, but this time they had duck on the menu, it was sooo good, it came with wild rice, which I'm not a fan of, so I asked our awesome waiter Bernie if I could substitute it with mashed potatoes, he didn't even hesitate, absolutely anything you want. Bernie was very personable and we were never left wanting for anything. I was the only one who got dessert, but everyone helped themselves, the molten lava cake was warm and gooey!!! And I need to mention there was a wedding going on in the carriage house, and still the food and service were great!!

Gone way downhill over the years. Banquet food at times. Service is hit or miss, servers change often. Low energy vibe.

They drive in to the fish market a few times a week and bring it into the store. There is a display case for fresh fish and of course they cook it up to order. I got the fisherman platter which included fish and chips, perfectly cooked fried nice and crispy fries, with fried clams and fried scallops. Fries were perfect and came with a nice little coleslaw cup too. Couldn't finish it! My buddy got a baked stuff lobster and that took a few minutes. It was stuffed with scallops! We sat outside at one of two little tables. It was a nice day, very pleasant out and quiet a few locals came in to grab take out. The place is well regarded. The owner's dad was cooking, and his girlfriend Kathy I believe ran the counter and both were super nice to talk to. Told us their story. Everyone has one and it's always nice to hear how people come to do what they are doing. Very small store and other than the 2 tables outside it's take-out. Has a case with some items and T shirts. I almost bought one, but they didn't have any XL today. It's located in a little plaza not far from Attleboro that has the Chartley Country store. It's not near to me but it was a fun drive, a good time and the fried fish is fresh and yummy.

Waterman Grille - Providence, RI…read more We had a lovely dinner at Waterman Grille. Our waitress was friendly and professional, which made the experience even better. I really enjoyed the bread they served at the table. For appetizers, my husband ordered the Cheese Plate, and I had the Karen Elizabeth Calamari. The cheese plate was good, although we felt there was a little too much bread and jam on the plate. My calamari was pretty good, but I asked for some extra lemon wedges because I like a little more acidity to balance the flavor. For our entrées, my husband ordered the Blackbird Farm Beef Stroganoff, and I had the Grilled Hanger Steak. I requested my steak medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed my entrée! For dessert, I ordered the Dark Chocolate Cremeux. It was rich, smooth, and very good. I especially liked that it wasn't overly sweet, which made it even more enjoyable. A lovely way to finish our dinner! Overall, we had a nice dining experience. Good food, friendly service, and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a nice spot for dinner in Providence!

The feel upstairs at the high tops is a classic hybrid of elevated dining but with a relaxing vibe. My only complaint is that the space with the high tops is tight and you're always in someone's way. The tables are also a little tight; if you have more than 2 waters, 2 drinks, and a couples plates, you need to play Tetris and hope you don't know anything down. The food was very good. The starter portions are all very generous. We got the beet tzatziki and the olives. The pita with the tzatziki was surprisingly fresh and pleasant. The beets were something I wasn't expecting; I ended up loving it. The olives were phenomenal and the little red peppers they put in there were addictive. We split he Waterman salad with shrimp. The shrimp was very well prepared and was season and cooked perfectly. Everything felt fresh. The entree's were also very good. The blackened cod had a good flavor profile with the rest of the plate. The seared salmon was also very good. My wife had it well done because she was pregnant, and usually well done salmon is done poorly. They somehow made it work and came out phenomenally. Between the service, portions, and food, I'd recommend giving this place a try!

We stopped in at 5 yesterday and were worried the restaurant would be busy, but we were sat immediately. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with lots of nautical themes. Our waitress was lovely and explained the menu to us in detail. As it was our first time at a seafood boil she was very patient with all our questions. Ultimately I had the 2lb boil with 1lb of mussels, 1/2lb of shrimp, and 1/2lb of clams in the captain Loui sauce with a side of garlic noodles. Our waitress came back quickly with a bib, gloves, and a bucket for shells. Not long after our meals came out and let me tell you everything was excellent! The seafood was cooked perfectly, plenty of sauce, and even the corn and potato were out of this world. I ordered the sauce medium and it definitely had a nice kick to it. The garlic noodles had great flavor, a little clumpy but with a little of that captain Loui sauce added on top it fixed the problem. It's not cheap but for a once in a while special occasion treat I can not recommend this place enough!

I always get the pick 2 and select the shrimp with head on and mussels. Comes with some potatoes and corn; also a side of your choice (I always do extra corn or garlic noodles!) you pick your sauce (get the capt Louie sauce!) and spice level (hot! Is best). The only place I'll got 10 fingers in on a meal and let the sauce get all over my face (I usually hate eating with my hands).. it's so worth it. There's a flower vendor lady that walks around fed hill and she'll come by for your boyfriend to buy you flowers too ladies haha! My boyfriend got the fish and chips w/cajun fries and he said it was better than when we visited Newport.
