Steak and cheese
Rich L.

Life is short F.....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Been seeing this place on the Internet and YouTube reviewer so I had to check it out. Who doesn't like a Philly cheese and steak. You had to really be looking for this place to find it as it's in a little plaza tucked away in a suburb. Walking in its very clean very contemporary looking, friendly service, but unfortunately, there's no place to sit so it was just takeout only. Of course I got the steak and cheese with the Cooper sharp cheddar and went home to try. Nice sesame seed bun the sandwich was stuffed with steak and cheese very well mixed even taste the onion and the sharpness of the Cooper cheddar. For some reason, the top ribeye slices were chewy but tasty. The ones on the bottom were savory and chopped well what would've made the sandwich even better would be to toast the sesame seed bun but if you're craving steak cheese check this place out.

New sandwich spot in town!!!! Omgggg amazing!!!!!!!!! The sandwich's are fresh, the chicken cutlet is thin and crispy !!! The homemade chips are yummy! I dipped the chips in the cheese sauce that they put on the rib eye , soooo gooodddddd!! I will 100000%% be back. This is probably my new favorite sandwich shop!!!!! Everything was so fresh!!!!!!

Ribeye Cheesesteak

Amazing overall experience from food to customer service. This Ribeye cheesesteak is NOTHING like anything we are used to in this state and is a must try. We also got the Caprese and the "not your average" Italian - both were stellar. Such a nice change to the area to have a place like this. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this lunch spot !!

Not Your Average Italian

DUO Sandwich Shop is the best addition to this area in years!!! You cannot find a comparable Italian sub within 40 miles and their Cheese Steak is better than most I ever ate during my 5 years in Philly!

The location is convenient being dead center in town and with a large parking lot. While the restaurant atmosphere itself is a little run down that's not too uncommon with pizza places. The staff have always been pleasant and accommodating as I try and decide what to get from their large menu. They also have a large fridge with different drink options you can choose from as well. Specials are always on the board and have a great variety. My go to order is the chicken cutlet plate on white bread. I love their cutlets as they're nice and crispy and all the toppings are fresh and delicious. Their French fries are phenomenal with that extra crispy coating like I like on a fry. Last time I came in my with my aunt and she had the fried ravioli which I felt could have been a little crispier but their marinara sauce was a great addition. The prices are reasonable with my sandwich and fries being about $13. If you're in the area I definitely recommend stopping by!

They are always welcoming and nice as soon as you walk in the door! Mistakes happen but they will happily fix any issues with your order and make sure you're happy. There is a decent amount of seating but not a ton. Pretty standard decor and ambiance for a place like this. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done. My whole family loves Plum Tomato! Unlike some other pizza shops, they always cook a fresh kid's pizza rather than giving you some slices that were sitting under a heating lamp all day. It's my kiddos favorite pizza!

The salad was really good and came with a surprising amount of grilled shrimp (17). The beer battered onion rings were really yummy and freshly fried. Not soggy. The mango habanero chicken tenders had good flavor but there was so much sauce that they were not crispy. I was hoping this would be all I wanted regarding pizza but it wasn't. I wanted a fresh tomato sauce that was tasteful and delicious. This almost seemed like sauce you'd put on top of a chicken parm or something and it was WAY too salty. Bleck. I just had 1 slice and that was enough. The bbq chicken pizza was just ok but kind of lacking flavor and it should come with onion but not worth $2.25 or $2.50 just to add onion as a topping. It's pricey here and honestly I tried this place once and that's enough. Hope they are able to improve a bit and make it work at this location. I heard it is nice inside but we got delivery so can't comment on atmosphere there.

Everything seemed to have been prepared thoughtfully, not just thrown together. Everything was delicious. I was a bit skeptical on the sub because they only have one size, but it was huge. We both could only eat half and we were stuffed! Can't wait to try other items on the menu soon. The pictures are of our leftovers.

I feel like they've stayed true to themselves over the years with their theming, but especially with their prices. It's so nice to see that their prices haven't gone through the roof, despite the difficult economy. I think The Beef Barn is a perfect example of an establishment that has done things right and stayed loyal to their customers, therefore having their customers stay loyal to them. You always know what you're getting at The Beef Barn and that's exactly how it should be. I typically visit the other location because it is closer to me, but I was in the Bellingham area and was happy to be able to visit this location. I will continue visiting The Beef Barn in the future. I love it and I hope they continue to be successful for years and years to come!

We tried a slice of pizza in the Sicilian version which had amazing taste with just the right amount of sauce. I ordered the number 80 and added pickles. I got the small size which was just enough for someone who does not eat a ton. The proportion on the sandwich was perfect and the jalapeño mayo was amazingly delicious. Parking was easy right in front of the restaurant. There was a variety of pre-cooked meals, as well as desserts, chips and a wide variety of drinks available. The menu is quite extensive with 80 sandwiches alone. Never mind the pizzas, pasta dishes and appetizers available. I highly suggest looking over the menu prior to your arrival at the restaurant or it could probably be overwhelming. I will definitely go back to try other menu items.

They offer a wide variety of drinks, prepared meals, and desserts, and the menu itself is extensive with plenty of options. I ordered three different sandwiches to try. The chicken parm was solid, though it could have used a bit more sauce. The triple decker was definitely a standout--really flavorful and well put together. Unfortunately, the Italian sandwich didn't meet expectations. Despite being the most expensive option, it had very little meat, lacked flavor, and the bread was dry. It just felt like it was missing something and wasn't worth the price. On a positive note, the Sicilian pizza was absolutely amazing--perfectly doughy and packed with flavor. I'd definitely come back, but would skip the Italian next time.

9 out of 10 -- Well Worth the Ride!…read more After asking around on a few local community Facebook pages for recommendations on where to find a really good Italian sub, one name kept popping up -- Gene's Quality Cold Cuts in Milford, MA. So this morning, on a whim, I decided to take the 25-minute ride and see what all the fuss was about. I ordered the Old-Time Italian, and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed! Excellent bread, fresh ingredients, and packed with flavor. Just a really good, old-fashioned Italian sub, the kind that's getting harder and harder to find these days. The store itself is a nice little place with a great selection of quality Italian products, which was a nice bonus. My rating? A solid 9 out of 10! Definitely worth the drive, and I'll absolutely be going back to try another sandwich. Sometimes taking a little ride on a whim pays off. This was definitely one of those times!

We decided to check it out. From the outside, Gene's Variety is a very modest building, located a little off the beaten path. Inside, it's a welcoming neighborhood deli that also carries selected groceries, bread, pasta, and other essentials. There's also a full deli case and a great selection of made-to-order sandwiches. After some deliberation, we ordered: * The Pilgrim: Roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and mayo * The Water Street Special: Chicken salad with cranberries and walnuts, American cheese, and lettuce (hold the tomato) You can select any bread or roll you prefer, and we chose Portuguese rolls. The chicken salad was good, although I think I'd prefer that sandwich as a wrap. The Pilgrim was outstanding. The stuffing was some of the best I've ever tasted, and I'd be happy to serve it as a side at my own Thanksgiving table. We also left with a loaf of meatball and cheese bread. We enjoyed it later at home, and it was very tasty. Gene's Variety is our new go-to spot for deli sandwiches in the Milford area!

I walked in around 7:40 and there were signs all over the windows saying NO HOT SUBS. I'm assuming the grill had already been cleaned for the night, which is a little disappointing when there's still plenty of time before closing. If you're open, I kind of expect the menu to be open too. So I ordered a giant club instead -- over $20 with everything on it. The girl making it seemed like she would rather be literally anywhere else, and the attitude definitely matched the sandwich. Then came the bread situation. Apparently there wasn't enough regular bread available for a giant sub, so mine was basically pieced together like a bread jigsaw puzzle. The finishing touch was the bacon. I watched the employee move the nice pieces of bacon aside with his hand, then scoop up the crumbled bits from the bottom of the pan and dump those on my sandwich instead. Nothing says "$20+ giant sub" quite like getting the bacon equivalent of the crumbs at the bottom of a potato chip bag. I'm actually sitting in the parking lot writing this because I don't think I've ever gotten such a poorly made sandwich from this location. I've always liked coming here, which is why tonight was so disappointing. I'll definitely think twice before coming back on a Monday night. Apparently weekends are when the good bread, bacon, grill -- and enthusiasm -- are available.
