Wow, this place is awesome. My partner got an iced coffee w/ vanilla whipped cream, and she liked it. I LOVED my vegan iced matcha w/ strawberry cold foam - yum! We shared the quinoa salad w/ hot honey chicken, and it was unique and tasty. Pretty filling on its own. Pastries looked amazing - I wish we had been hungrier so we could try some. I ordered a matcha latte and was surprised to find out (after picking it up and leaving the cafe) that they put sugar in it without asking if that is what the customer wanted. I've never had an issue anywhere else ive gotten a matcha latte with sugar being added so I was a bit surprised they did that. what if I was diabetic with a restriction diet? that's awful that they don't ask the customer first before just assuming they want sugar!!! Ive been going to twist for years and it's nice that you have options as far as gluten, dairy, eggs or nuts are concerned but what about the ridiculous amount of sugar they use. I've been a long time customer that visited regularly, 8-10 years. over the last year I've limited myself due to the changes in food ingredients, decreased portion sizes, and increase in prices. I have allergies and has I have always deeply appreciated a safe place to eat And have enjoyed the bakery items. Sadly I don't think I plan on returning for a meal- I will always return for the bakery though. The meals often change, my last meal was the breakfast tacos which have always been my favorite- and this morning they were sub par, I couldn't finish my meal. The last few times I have had to go back to the staff due to errors in the order - wrong coffee, wrong meal, not received as ordered. Pancakes with hard - crusty edges, very salty foods, quesadillas that have cold spots, salads with very little dressing or soggy greens. The price for 2 breakfast meals, including coffees is about $50. when I cannot finish my meal today because it was too salty or the order is incorrect regularly, the price is not worth it. Gluten free is a competitive market now and there are a lot of resources and options these days, Twist is no longer a necessity or a visit I look forward to. read more

It is amazing to believe that a staff could be so friendly and accommodating! Their kindness was truly on display when I called and learned that they typically could not deliver all the way to Pennsylvania, my home state. Amazing GF food! Got the Thanksgiving sandwich and grilled cheese and both were delicious! Definitely need to buy some of their bread next time. Got a bunch of pastries for my mums birthday and each one was more delicious than the last! Anything you want in the way of an allergen free breakfast lunch or dinner they will offer it for you they have everything from vegetarian vegan wheat free gluten free sugar free salt free free free free. I have gone there as little as once a week do as much as three times a week. I work for a local B&B and they are my go to place when I have a specialty order of gluten free egg free dairy free etc. that I need to serve for breakfast. All the staff is super friendly and helpful and right on top of your needs.. They've also have great outdoor seating so you don't have to be sitting inside the restaurant everything is made to order I had the most incredible muffins chocolate chip cookies and a breakfast luncheon scone that has ham Swiss cheese and chives in it. I really like this bakery's baked goods but the way you order items just doesn't make sense to me. I told the young lady at counter I would be getting 6-8 items and all could go in one box, I would think it would be more efficient to get the box open it up and place the items in there one by one as I told her what I wanted. Alas...no, apparently you tell the person what you want they write it down then they get a box, and then they go back through the items and put the items in the box. This is inefficiency at its finest. read more

A lot of small things adding up to not a great experience. We stopped for take out breakfast to take on our road trip back to FL. I asked the man if there was a fork in our stapled bag and he said "yes". Got in the car and opened bag and no fork. My husband took one bite of his egg and bacon breakfast roll (no bagel or English muffin option) and couldn't eat anymore. I would also recommend adding napkins and a trash can in the front of the restaurant. My coffee was overfilled, I looked for a way to wipe up some of the spilled coffee and when I asked a worker for a few napkins so I could wipe up my mess, I felt she got an attitude. read more

I really do love Twist Bakery. We probably won't get the whole cake again. The actual cake was sooooo good, and I'm not gluten free. There was way too much icing. It took away from the cake. We actually scraped all the icing off and just kept the cake. 4 to 5 stars in the bakery itself. 3 stars for the whole cake, but 5 stars for the cake portion of cake. read more

Best bakery ever!!! We stopped here a couple years ago and loved it. This week we traveled from Dallas to DC to site see, then we drove (8 hours) to the Millis just to go to this bakery. I bought several items to take back to Texas. Our flight home from Boston had a layover in Nashville so I used one of the rolls for a hamburger bun. I have been gluten free for at least 50 years and this is literally the best bun I have ever had. I also ate breakfast when we were at the bakery. It was delicious and an ease of mind knowing there was no cross contamination. The lady that waited on us was the same one that did two years ago. Super sweet and helpful. If they ever want to expand to Texas, Waxahachie is a growing community just south of Dallas. I know they would get lots of business. read more

The food is alright, but it's overpriced and microwaved. This morning I ordered $13 breakfast tacos and a slice of cake to go. I gave the 25% tip because I feel awkward declining. This put my total at $30 for microwaved eggs and one slice of cake to go. The food is clean, but seriously, I've gotten meat in my vegetarian food 4 of the last 5x I've been there. After this experience, I won't be ordering food again and may just use the bakery. It's a shame because the place is so cute, but the quality is not worth the price. read more

Oh boy. Where should I start? The woman who owns and runs this bakery cafe is not the kindest of individuals. I saw her publicly humiliate two employees on my one and only visit. I strongly disapprove of abusing the help. I found the owner needlessly snobbish and intolerant. She was unprofessional. That said, the bakery products are very nice, thanks to the skilled baking team, but too expensive and faux-posh, thanks to the owner. I wouldn't go on, but for the unpleasantness of the experience. The "signature" chicken salad is an overbearing adaptation of a church cookbook recipe. Too insipid with a heavy-handed application of tarragon. Moderation, please. No offense intended to the many very fine church/fundraiser publications, of which I have more than a few. But, less is more...in this case, edible. read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. My girlfriend and I ate here the next morning after seeing Taylor Swift. This place is heaven if you are gluten free like us. Everything is gluten free and staff were great while we ordered so many treats! We shared a two eggs platter with the apple sausage. The apple sausage is homemade and definitely recommended over the bacon. We also ordered a stack of pancakes and home fries. The pancakes were light and fluffy. Highly recommend the bacon cheddar scone or the carrot cake as well. Coffee was also really good. Will definitely be coming back the next time we're in town! read more

I am no longer a fan. Over the years, I have bought their bread from the Millis & Burlington bakeries and when they carried it at New Leaf in Needham. The last 2 visits to Twist have been lackluster. Both times, the bread was stale and had to be toasted in order to eat it. I tried calling the Millis store hopeful that they would answer so I could run over and exchange the bread. Nobody answered the phone. In the past 6 years of buying this bread, I have never been able to reach anyone at the Millis location. Twist bread is not inexpensive so after the second visit of stale bread, I contacted the owner about the quality of the bread. He was pleasant in the first email and I was told that I could receive a refund or exchange the bread. I asked for a refund since it seemed to be the easiest option. A few days later , I followed up to check on the status of the refund. I was told that due to the Easter rush , it would be done that evening. It was not done. It has been a month now and still no refund. It's time to take my business elsewhere. I also find it interesting that calories are not listed and there is no listing of ingredients for the products in the store. read more

Greeted friendly at the counter but then all down hill from there. Still waiting for our food- over 40mins. Several tables seated after us have been served , lots of take out orders completed. Manager came out with fruit to appease us,next thing we see is table behind us getting their food. If I could give 1/2 star I would. Table behind us with young children having the same issue. Update- computer issues were the problem of the day Sunday. I went back on Monday and the service was still very good and this time I was able to sample the food - the Goat cheese, apple and bacon omelette was divine .
