Went there early with a friend to catch up on lots! Bartender was excellent, letting us move our drinks to a table to eat and chat. He served us entire night (a good 3.5 hrs). Burger night so we had turkey burgers and fries, excellent! Never felt like we had to give up our table. Will definitely be back! read more

Absolutely horrible experience. We made a reservation with someone which apparently wasn't valid because reservations are not taken. Ok stuff happens. The staff however was incredibly rude with a massive negative attitude as we were "in the way" trying to stand and wait. At least 4 staff members saw us as a pain in waiting. Rather than treating customers with respect we were just an annoyance apparently. Reminded me of the United States Postal Service. read more

Walked in tonight (Tuesday) at 7:30pm and sat down at the bar. Not crowded at all with the bar about half full and a handful of people at tables. I was going to get a beer and pizza, but the bartender completely ignored me. Waited 10 minutes, tried to get her attention, but she was only interested in flirting with a guy a few seats down. Completely ignored me and the guy sitting next to me. After 10 minutes I just walked out. Let me be very clear this was not an understaffing issue or just to busy, this was someone who could care less about anyone. I've eaten at this place dozens of times and even during the pandemic had great food and service. I will not be back. read more

Went in Friday night around 645pm. We found two seats at the bar and moved the bottles out of our way that were left by the previous guest. The bartender finally came over and asked what we needed- and i told her we would like to start with a menu. (She didn't realize we just got there?) She rolled her eyes and scoffed at us! We looked at each other while the other bartender put menus down. When she came back over, I asked if she could wipe down the bar and she scoffed again! I couldn't believe it! The other bartender served us our drinks and actually paid for our first round. We couldn't stay there & left to eat elsewhere. We have eaten there plenty of times before and never was treated the way that bartender acted! I will never go back there - even if she isn't there. This place was way better than I expected. Their food seems fresh and tastes great. They do a great job of keeping everything running smoothly with all of their COVID restrictions in place. They now have both indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. Prices very reasonable. I got the caprese flatbread and it was delicious. Probably one of the best flatbreads I have ever had. I will definitely be returning here soon. read more

The only reason there are two stars is because the waitress was great! The food was good, the issue was the reaction by the manager to our question about how uncomfortably warm it was where we were seated. The response was unprofessional at best and borderline rude. If you live on 109 anywhere from Medfield to Medway, this Napper Tandy's location is the best of them all. It has more of a gastro pub feel because the menu definitely highlights the establishment. Since they redid the menu about a year ago, I have not had a bad meal. There is a great selection of microbrews, bottled beer, and liquor. The restaurant has a long bar, dark wood, and a warm feel. If I could give less than 1 star I would, I'll Have to do a write in vote of 0 !!! and we never even ate !!! First off it took about 10 minutes to seat us when we could clearly see open tables , understaffed ? I could let that slide BUT after we were finally seated by a hostess who must have been 16-17 with the personality of a corpse , we sat ..... and we sat ...... 15 minutes ... nobody acknowledged our presence even a table across from us who were seated after us got drinks and "attention " . Needless to say we got up , walked out with no one saying a word ? WTF ? We proceeded to a small mom and pop pizza joint down the street who gladly served us , and the food was a much better value than Napper Tandy's !! Found this place looking for another and decided to try it. New, clean. Friendly waitress, very personable. My husband had wings and fries and loved them. I had fish tacos and a cape codder. The fish was bland, the pico de gallo was far from it and the codder was a glass of cranberry juice. Ended up sharing with hubby and calling it a day. read more

Ended up going here multiple times to keep giving it second chances and as much as I hoped it would be a great addition to Millis, I can't say that it is. Every time I've been the service has been slow and not attentive. The last time, the soup I got was stone cold and the waitress made comments that we got a table but not everyone was eating and just drinking (We had a party of 5 and went after 8 on a weeknight). There are some craft beer choices and some house beer choices, but it's not clear to me where these are made. Our waitress was very nice. Fun atmosphere with many large TVs playing. Noise suppression on the very high ceiling would be nice. Personally I would like more craft beer selections, but that's just me. The staff was nice. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I've only been here a handful of times, every time I go it's empty and the service + food is average. I have friends who refuse to go to this place due to the rude staff and last night I had an encounter that will make me join them in refusing to go. A friend and I were minding our business at the bar. We had two drinks and when we went to order a third the bartender asked "have you been drinking before this?". What are you insinuating by asking that question? We were not being loud or obnoxious at all. She specifically turns to me and goes "I just have to ask because you ordered two drinks in a short amount of time". I was here to celebrate my friend on passing an exam and I ordered two drinks in one hour. In my opinion that is not outrageous. We ended up leaving after that because we were offended and we are pretty sure she was just trying to get us out to close up the bar early. I will NEVER go back to this place and they should teach their staff to have some people skills. read more

Tried this restaurant for the first time and probably won't be back. When we first sat down there were flies everywhere in our section. There must have been a dozen or so flying around us the entire time. After ordering drinks we could not stand it anymore and asked to move to the other side of the restaurant. Keeping bugs out is a basic thing for restaurants but this place didn't get it. Once we ordered the food was average at best. Burger was dry and the bun was extremely greasy. Nothing special about it. Fries were very plain. The only reason I gave two stars is the atmosphere was very cool (felt like an Irish pub) and there was a large beer selection. The restaurant just opened this week. We are so grateful to have a sit down restaurant in town. Having it be good makes it even better. Speciality pizzas! The BBQ chicken was good Mixed Grill - the steak was tender and the chicken was moist. Yay for burgers! A good basic burger and crispy fries. Fish and Chips - came out way overcooked. They took it back and brought out a new one right away. It was delicious, flaky while still being moist. The kids Mac and cheese was homemade and I was told it was good. This was our fourth visit since opening. Great atmosphere - but it tends to be very loud on a busy night. Mixed grill, tips and burgers are delicious. Always a fresh vegetable that is cooked well. Have not been as pleased with fish tacos or grilled chicken sandwich. Definitely avoid the chips and guacamole and pico de gallo- not good at all and a waste of 8 dollars. Beer prices have a Sam Oktoberfest draft for 6, house wine at 6. Wait staff have been great - attentive and anxious to please. Would be nice to see a manager checking in with patrons. read more

First time I came here they wouldn't serve me because I had an out of state ID. I'm 29, bartend for a living, and have managed a restaurant. Bartender said a debit card would be suitable for proving my ID was real, according to his manager. Went to my car and came back with ID and manager still rejected me. I left without ever seeing the manager. Came back again for lunch and after waiting 15-20 minutes to order the bartender informed me the grill had run out of gas, therefore I couldn't order anything hot. Nothing like driving out of your way to try a restaurant for the first/second time and not getting more than water and apologies. read more

Our first dinner here far exceeded our expectations - and we have been back multiple times ever since! Meals have always been hot, taste fresh, and delicious! Many tables to accommodate outdoor seating as well. The service can be a bit slow outside, but the food is worth it! read more

As with any new restaurant there are kinks to work out. All in all, 2 great experiences. Day visit bar we met Ed the bartender and John the GM. Both extremely friendly and welcoming. Night visit with Dave was good. He was working his butt off. Mango Shrimp Appetizer...yum! Although I wish it was an even count. We fought over the last piece! 6 would be better than 5. Shepard's Pie...Delicious! Fish and Chips was good too. Nice and light. For their 1st Friday night...impressed with the lack of frustration! haha All the staff checked on us to ensure things were good! A+++ Only downfall...a tad bit pricey. Update...been back 3 more times and they lost stars. Prices are higher...food has dropped to mediocre. Service SUCKED! Sat forever waiting for someone to greet us. A little quiet on the afternoon of their opening day. The place is clean, a bunch of typical Guinness posters and Irish nostalgia decorates the place with about 9 or 10 TVs. I had a lunch special and a Guinness. Spicy roast beef on rye with shrimp gumbo soup. The sandwich was slightly dry for my taste; it wasn't bad, but it was just roast beef, cheese and a spicy horseradish sauce on rye. Again, not bad, but could've used a slice of tomato and lettuce. I got what was described in the specials menu, so I can't complain. The shrimp gumbo soup was great! The rest of the menu also looks delicious, and I can't wait to try some more in the future. The Guinness was poured correctly. Fair prices, friendly staff. Will definitely be back for an evening this weekend. Good potential, can't wait! read more

I've been a few times and each time they have been great! The food is always delicious. I got the steak tips last time and they were cooked to perfection. They have a good beer list and a creative drink menu. The one star off is because the seating is sometimes uncomfortable- high tops aren't my thing unless I'm sitting at the bar. Visited on a Friday night. Place was very busy, but wait wasn't long. Beer selection is above par for this area, with the standards you'd expect in an Irish pub, some local brews, and at least 6 rotating seasonal lines. Decor is typical Irish pub inspired, but cozy with dark wood paneling and lots of Irish themed decorations. Good: Started with Wings and Chips and Salsa/Guac. Wings were decent. We ordered the med Buffalo sauce and it had just enough heat. Wish they'd provided more than a thimble full of blue cheese, though. By the time six of us got a little dab it was gone. Five of six of our meals came reasonably quickly for how busy it was and considering it was their first week. They did forget to put in the sixth order so my friend had to wait while the rest of us ate. He did enjoy the shepherd's pie once it came, and they did comp him his meal. Two friends had a cal-mex style chicken sandwich which they both cleared their plates. Another in our party had a salad that looked great but was a little on the $$$ side for a salad. Salads start at $12. Not so Good: My burger came as a burger usually does, with the bun opened so you can put your ketchup etc on and eat. when I picked up my bun it was glistening with wet grease. I tried to take a couple of bites and the bun just disintegrated into a greasy blob in my fingers. I scraped the rest of the greasy bun off and tried eating the rest with a fork. I got two more bites in and the middle was pink and cold. At that point I gave up. When the server came back and asked how things were I showed him the greasy pile of what was bread and the pink center and he took it away. He didn't offer to take it off the bill or get me fresh one. My friend's fish tacos were also really soggy and fell apart when she tried to pick them up. She ended up only eating two of the three with a fork. I understand it's their first week on their shakedown cruise and things aren't going to run perfectly, but I don't think I should have had to pay 12 bucks for a burger that was inedible. Bottom Line: One of the better places in the area for drinks and draught beer selection. It'll be awhile before I try anything but wings there again though. read more

Horrible service! Waited for a table in a virtually empty restaurant while they figured out where to seat us (party of 4 adults one child). Then, we were blasted by a DJ playing a TV and 90s Music Bingo game. It was so loud we couldn't have a conversation at our family dinner. The food was mediocre and way too salty. Once served, our waitress disappeared. My husband had to find her in the back room chatting with 3 other servers in order to request a side of broccoli for our grandson. If you just want to have a beer at the bar, perhaps this is the place but avoid the food! read more

My lower rating is not for the food, atmosphere or service. We have had good meals and good service each time we visit. The reason I probably will not return? I find it absolutely ridiculous that they don't have a changing table in their bathrooms! With nowhere to change my infant, it's near impossible to go for a meal there unless they are fine with me changing a diaper on the hostess table or the bar. For them to be in a family oriented town, they really should invest $250 in a changing table for at least one of the bathrooms. read more

As I walked in, it was busy as it was a Friday night, but nobody acknowledged me, so I found an open seat at the bar. After a few minutes of waiting to be noticed, I started keeping track of how long I was sitting there. I am aware that people tend to exaggerate when writing reviews, but it took another 10 minutes, before a bartender even spoke to me. I understand places get busy, but at least drop a menu down or say "I'll be right with you" and dont just walk past a customer as if they didn't exist. I placed a cocktail order and it took another 6 minutes to arrive, and was not very enjoyable whatsoever. I decided at this point, I didn't want to take my chances staying for dinner and I paid my tab and left, once again not being acknowledged by any employee on my out. Oh well! read more

Went here with my four year old son. HE is a handful and the good news was that the area they put us in was a kid section. Thank you to the great hostess! The waitress was nice and attentive. She gave us great advice about the portions. The food was good. Pizza for the boy was wonderful. My fish tacos were spicy and yummy. Plenty of food. Drinks were kept full.
