Just finished a delicious dinner with my family at 21 North. WOW, was it AMAZING! After watching our son's baseball doubleheader nearby we were ready for a yummy dinner. Good food, great service! Kids chicken tenders and fries were battered and fried to a golden crisp, fries were thick and delicious. I had the fish sandwich, wow what a big piece of fish! Wife enjoyed the Chicken Milanese. I think what did it for us was the nachos, cheese overload and we couldn't finish our dinners. read more

Well, I told myself I wasn't gonna come in anymore since Alicia was not working there but I figured it's in my neighborhood and I wanted a quick bite and cocktail so I thought I'd give it another shot.... Point blank bottom line Alicia is the best bartender you've EVER had behind that bar. She is terribly missed but she was wayyyy to good to to be working here. The other bartenders ( if that's what you call them )Do not hold a candle to her. The drinks are horrible, The bartenders attitudes are horrible and they are not friendly whatsoever... it's unfortunate because Alicia made that bar a more fun positive friendly and upbeat environment not to mention her drinks were spot on and killer... While I might return someday to enjoy dinner at the bar with my partner, I doubt I'll ever bring another couple here to spend the evening shouting and constantly asking, "what?" so I went here Saturday night with my date, not a very big place so be careful going by last minute on weekend nights as it can be pretty busy. I'd recommend making a rez on busier nights Fri or Sat. The place has a great vibe, square bar in the center, tables all around with high tops in some strategic locations. It's not fancy but I'd call it a an upscale pub. Seems to have quite the following of regulars and some first-timers like myself. I did see a few families there as well as a couple of larger parties 8-10 peeps in the group. I like the menu offerings, it's not extensive but I think it will appeal to a lot of tastes. Classic steak tips, a couple of fish and chicken options along with some pasta. I went with the lamp chops and the brussies for an app, my date the Short Rib bolognese. Both were recommended by our server (Toni) who had asked about any preferences before making her suggestions and I have to say they were outstanding. I know lamb doesn't appeal to a wide variety of folks but if you like them you'll love these, mine were cooked perfectly to my liking and tender could have cut them with a fork. They came served with mashed potatoes and a fresh garden salad, luved this plate. I also tried the bolognese and it is fantastic, a healthy portion so if you're ordering this bring an appetite. They have a full bar with lots of specialty drinks, and a decent wine list, not crazy extensive but a good selection. I met the owner and his wife as they made the rounds with the guests to see how things were going, I'm glad they opened this spot, it was another restaurant before, after reworking the inside to make it more inviting, it really has a good feel to it in it's current iteration. I know it's Medfield and a bit out of the way but if you fine yourself on 109 around dinner time make it a point to stop in, you'll be glad you did. read more

Went for dinner on 12/30/25. Unbeknownst to us, there was an equipment problem in the kitchen. Queso Appetizer came out an hour after ordering and was half full. We ordered dinner at the same time we ordered the app. We waited and waited. The waitstaff made sure they did not make eye contact. We had to ask about our dinner order because we were being ignored. It was not until then that we were informed that there was a problem in the kitchen and we needed to reorder some of our food, as only the pizza ovens were working. We told the waitstaff that we were disappointed that no one came to our table to inform us of the problem. One of the pizzas came out cold. We asked the waitstaff if there was anything they could do to make it right. They did not charge us for the cold pizza and took some money off the queso appetizer. One of the owners was on hand. It would have been nice if she came to the tables and informed the customers of the problem sooner rather than later. read more

The interior decor is tasteful, and the bathroom is clean. Unfortunately, the positives stop there. The service was very slow despite it not looking super busy. We ordered the burger, fish tacos, and mac and cheese for the kid. Took forever for the food to come. The food itself was all pretty disappointing. The burger was barely warm when it came to my table, the cheese on it wasn't even melted, and it had almost no flavor. Seriously, a McD's quarter pounder packs more flavor. The fish tacos were pretty bland, too. Just deep fried pieces of fish and nothing inspiring. The Mac and cheese was literally the same Kraft stuff you get from super markets - but they charge $10 for it. On top of that, this super annoying and loud live music was happening. I don't know if this is some old boomer shit, but who the hell actually enjoys really loud music while having dinner? Do people really like to scream over terrible music to talk while eating out? Seriously doesn't improve the dining experience. Overall a pretty big let down. Definitely won't be back. read more

My husband and I went for an early evening dinner and sat at the bar. There were only a handful of people inside, relatively empty, however not uncommon for the time we arrived. We were greeted by friendly hostess - and that was it. We sat there for over 15min while a bunch of wait staff stood in the corner, two bartenders ignored us and before another staff member behind the bar eventually brought us waters. We waited very patiently, and finally a menu was brought over - but not by the tall older male, I'm guessing a manager, that circled the bar at least 5x with menus, never once stopping to check on us, as we sat empty handed. As he circled again, he handed a menu to a customer that arrived after us, despite this employee seeing us with each pass he took. Then, I finally made eye contact with the female bartender, who again ignored us and decided to serve the solo male customers that arrived after us. Message received. I can understand being a new business, working out the kinks and figuring things out. Not something I would hold against a new establishment. We were all new and have to begin somewhere at points in our lives. However, not even an acknowledgment, no "I'll be right with you" or "sorry for the wait" or any communication from any employee other than the young woman who gave us waters, is truly disappointing. We do not mind waiting and we're very patient, but it was clear we were being ignored. I have no intention of ever going back to a place that outright ignores customers. We left after a sip of water, walked over to Avenue and had an amazing dinner there. You may want to consider doing the same. read more

I rarely post reviews however, recently had the opportunity to work with Nikki and her team to prepare a luncheon post my fathers funeral. As you can imagine it was a very difficult time for our family and not much notice provided. Nikki and her staff were amazing. They were caring, thoughtful and make things as easy as possible for my family and I. Not to mention the food was outstanding. I want to love this place but it left me underwhelmed The good: Nice ambiance, good wine and beer selections with reasonable prices. Food came out quickly. Staff was friendly and energetic. The bad: The food was just ok. Nothing was bad but nothing blew me away. Cocktails were meh. It's hard to understand making the bar the centerpiece of the restaurant and offering subpar cocktails. My wife ordered a margarita. For $16 one would expect it to be made with fresh lime juice. Nope, they use a mixer. Definitely worth a try if you live in Medfield. We enjoyed our meal here Sunday night. The ambiance is neighborhood friendly - maybe a little noisy since it is one large room with all hard surfaces - they should have put some sound-absorbing foam in the ceiling. The crab cakes appetizer could have been crisper but were flavorful. The Golden Margarita was very good (although expensive at $16) and the Guinness was properly served at just slightly cool temperature! I especially enjoyed my swordfish garnished with bacon and greens. My wife thought her steak tips were even better than at Noon Hill. Service was friendly and attentive. We would recommend that coasters be provided for the iced water glasses and clean forks provided after the appetizer - leaving used forks on the wood table surface seemed less than proper. read more

I went to 21 North for the first time last night and had a wonderful experience. The Larkins have done a beautiful job updating the space. Great mix of seating (round tables, square tops, bar seating, couches, high tops, etc.). Great ambiance. Decor was the perfect combination of new, modern art and vintage (including history of the building). Food was delicious. We started with a small ceasar salad which came with fresh shaved Parmesan and a delicious, creamy dressing. Next we ordered the Buffalo wings which were cooked to perfection and nicely coated with the sauce. We finished up with the pepperoni bar pizza w/ a side of hot honey. The pizza was the perfect size and was cooked to perfection. One of the owners, Nikki, came over to introduce herself. She was incredibly friendly and very welcoming. You could tell immediately that she cares greatly about the town and local community. Nikki made a point to circle back later on to check in and see how we enjoyed everything. We will definitely be back! Also, important to note that Yelps hours for this restaurant are incorrect. 21 North is in fact open on Tuesday! read more

Decided to try out 21 North for a date night with my husband. We came on a Friday night, the restaurant was empty, maybe 4 other tables filled. We should of known then it wasn't a good sign. Got seated right away and sat for over 10 minutes without a sign of a waiter. We got up and left and the host who had just seated us said "have a good night" didn't even bother to care. Excellent wings (I had parmesan garlic), my wife had a delicious fig and prosciutto pizza (crust was 10/10--thin with a good chew-crisp balance), and we split a fantastic caesar salad (maybe the best dressing I've ever had), and my kids loved their chicken fingers and burgers.
