A very average dinner experience, average ambiance and very average American bar food. The service was okay. The beef burger was not too bad. The veggie burger that I asked on salad was a little dry and the salad was meh . The Mexican flatbread was okay. The Buffalo cauliflower wasn't that good, some pieces bigger than the others were still a little raw from inside. We got cheesecake for dessert but it was too sweet for our taste and did not taste very fresh. It was dry, stale and I would not order it again. read more

Missed the train so decided to trail here for a beer. Requested a tab at the same time I got it, which never happened. (Eventually) finished the drink, and inadvertently was presented with another after they saw the empty glass. Said that I asked for a tab when I was served the first one. Got the tab faster than the first beer. This is honestly the darkest venue/bar I've been to, so not sure if it's ambience purposes or trying to save electricity? Tips are earned, not required, and the prime example why I carry cash. The next time I see/find out Crisp is closed, I'm turning around and going to Tessie's. Unfortunately, I lost my father suddenly in December. To honor him, we needed to find a place that was warm, inviting, but a casual place to gather for his celebration of life. I called Napper Tandys because it's one of the only places you can find POOL TABLES (something enjoyed by my Dad). I coordinated with AJ the Manager. He was amazing. Beyond accommodating; allowing us to arrive early to set up, providing any needed amenities, set up the buffet and served hot and fresh. I can't thank you enough, AJ and all the staff at Nappers. You made such a tragic time easier to navigate. I know our guests enjoyed it as well and will book there as well for events. Thank you again! read more

Ate here last night for the first time with my wife. The restaurant is an Irish Pub style of a place with two bars in 2 separate rooms, with tables also in both of those rooms. We sat at one of the rooms in the back were greeted by a very friendly, professional, polite bartender. My wife ordered The Crispy Fried Chicken sandwich, which came with fries. I ordered the Thai Oriental Salad, with an addition of 4 steak tips for only an additional $4. My wife's meal was only $12 and my salad only $17 total. The portions were generous for what we paid and the prentation of both were very nice and thought out. But best of all, both meals were very well prepared and tasty. My steak tips were top quality meat, no fat, etc. Also perfectly cooked. I came to enjoy a nice night, last night with my fiancee, I had planned to get some food and drinks and have a normal night, my friend's recommended this place so I was excited to try it. She continuously made advances/ flirtatious comments to me, while my soon to be wife was sitting right next to me. I was appaled and she was dismayed as well. I usually love this place, but last night was awful. My friends and I waited for drinks for 20 mins at a time at the pub side bar. The bartender looked miserable and lost. He did not pay attention to his customers whatsoever. I watched as many people waited for drinks around me getting frustrated, eventually ending up leaving his bar. I'm not sure how he is stil holding this job, as he lacks general customer service skills. I believe his name was Harry. Will not return to his bar again. read more

I've been here so many times, yet I've never written a review, so this is in part, to rectify that deplorable situation. Since I moved in down the street, I've been very impressed with this place. They have a sister restaurant in my town that is a bit closer, but this is worth the 4 mile drive for me. It's just much bigger, more relaxing, and offers a nice atmosphere. As far as the atmosphere, when you first walk in, it is split into two sides with two separate bars. They are very similar, but it does allow more of an intimate atmosphere rather than a big wide open room. They also offer a trivia night and they do it on one side, so if you are not interested, you just camp out on the other side. It has an Irish pub kind of feel, which is relaxing. They also have a separate basement with many nice pool tables and yet another bar! They truly have something for everyone. The staff are wonderful, and are very friendly and professional. They've always treated me nicely, and they must be doing something right, because the place is always fairly busy, and I see a lot of families regularly. The food here is high quality, and the menu is creative and unique. They take pride in the presentation of their meals, which is nice. Their bars are also very well stocked , and hey have one of the best beer tap selections in the area. There's always a few rotating beers that you can't find anywhere else. Overall, I love this place. It's one of my "go to" spots, and it's Great whether you are out with the family, with coworkers, or on a date. read more

Best Pub around for MILES! Pretty damn good food for a pub. Plenty of draft choices. A fair amount of food choices on the menu, a little something for everyone. Fair prices. And they've got the pool hall downstairs with air hockey, and a few dart boards for entertainment. This is another place I try to hangout at as often as possible. I drive by this place almost every single week and always wondered what it was like inside, so on a rainy Sunday my boyfriend and I finally decided to try it out! The place is nice and cozy inside, with 2 long bars as well as dining seating... although from what I saw, the dining seating is right by the bar, so forewarned to anyone coming in with kids, the bar is within sight. Our bartender might not have been the most friendly human we've ever encountered, but she was pleasant enough and waited on us timely. The food was AMAZING. I ordered the steak tips while my boyfriend ordered the BBQ mix... let me tell you, the mashed potatoes are perfect and remind me of the taste of home cooked, holiday, done right REAL mashed potatoes. We were regulars before Covid and have been so happy with the safety measures they have taken since they opened back up. Masks are required and enforced, phone numbers are being taken, seating is limited. The place is clean and the staff have been great. In addition to all of the Covid precautions- their menu is amazing! They've added great vegetarian options. The edamame stir fry is great! Other new favorites are the country fried chicken and the Mac and cheese (who doesn't love comfort food?) There is seating inside and outside. Highly recommend! Oh my god, YES! Finally a genuinely good place to watch a game in the greater Walpole area! Spacious, plenty of TVs and awesome beers (21st Amendment on draught, Boulevard 80 Acre in bottle!). This is everything I like about the Norwood location but on steroids - bigger, better and shiny-new. We had the Thai chili wings, Queen margherita pizza and steak and cheese egg rolls. Hosted a party for my company here Friday night. Food was cold because the sternos ran out of flame, bartenders cut people off after two drinks, tip included was not at all what the server deserved. Restaurant was very understaffed so service wasn't that good. read more

I have been here a few times now and had a good time. Inside, there is plenty of space at the bars and dining room. Downstairs there is another bar and plenty of pool tables and dart boards, which puts all other bars in the area to shame. Food is pretty good and drink selection is great. Service is typically friendly and quick. Unfortunately, last night I sat on the patio out front. It's on the main road, so it can be noisy. The patio used to be parking, so the tables weren't necessarily level. I can deal with those things, but I had awful service. Incorrect beers were brought out, 3 point glasses were plopped on the table, but we were never told which beers belonged go who. We soon figured it out on our own. She never checked in on us and made us feel like we were bothering her for sitting outside (there were 4 other parties outside with different servers). read more

My mother had the blackened chicken pasta she also said was good. My 5 year old and 3 year old got kids chicken fingers and fries and Mac and cheese. Great place to go play some pool or darts and grab some beers for cheap tab. Not sure how many billiards tables there are but it has to be at least 8. Bartenders are really friendly and will always have a conversation. Short tempers on some of the bouncers but don't you put your beer anywhere near the pool table! My family was in agreement, it sounded like guitar riffs incessantly looping throughout the tavern. The professional waiter even turned down the music, but the noise continued. Huge thank you to our wonderful waitress at Napper Tandy's! My husband and I met some old friends for an early dinner tonight, and had our 2 year old with us. Our waitress was SO patient with a wiggly two-year old and didn't get frustrated when she wanted to run around the patio or sit on the stairs (RIGHT in the waitstaffs' path). What went totally above and beyond, though, was when she offered to take my daughter to see the rest of the restaurant so I could eat my food - she then took her to a different table and sat with her to make a Father's Day card! It would've been so easy for her to be annoyed at us constantly jumping up and down, but she was beyond patient and wonderful. Very disappointing. This was a go to place for me and a friend. We have gone a few times for a drink and a meal and have been happy. Friday night we got there about 7 pm. It was very loud and it took a few minutes for our waitress to come to take our drink order. We ordered our drinks and the pretzel appetizer which was run of the mill nothing special nothing bad about it. She came back for our food order. I ordered chicken cordon bleu and my friend ordered grilled steak tips - he hadn't eaten all day and was starving. The waitress came back and said they were out of chicken cordon bleu so I looked at the menu again and ordered napper tandy chicken. Our food came out and i could tell at first site the napper tandy chicken was not going to be good. Two tiny pieces of chicken with a blob of mozzerella over pasta that had way to much oil on it. My friends teak tips were not grilled and they were also tiny tips. Neither of us ate our meal - the waitress came back and could see i hadn't touched mine and took it off the bill - the manager came over and agreed the tips were not grilled and looked disappointing. This is my favorite bar. Huge selection of games in the basement-- eight pool tables, darts, air hockey, and plenty of TVs for sports-- with great fairly-priced drinks. One of the other great aspects about Napper Tandy's is that it is seldom overcrowded, so it's typically at a minimal noise level with availability of the above games.
