I had been to Everything Bagel once before, and had thought their bagels were quite good. A bit expensive, but hey, they're only bagels, right? But stopped by yesterday afternoon after an appointment in Foxboro and bought 3 poppyseed bagels and a small container of chive cream cheese for $12. But the cream cheese is off. After eating one bagel I was sick most of the night, with severe stomach cramps. Sniffed the cream cheese tub this morning, and it smelled somewhere between bleu cheese and stinky tofu. They have amazing tasting bagels. Its the biggest reason I come here so often. They are always fresh. The coffees are also delicious. However in terms of the staff.. they are nice, however, they do not pay attention to details and I have gotten my order wrong more times than right. Its honestly so frustrating to drive all the way home to find out they gave me the wrong bagel. Even after emphasizing and clearly stating which one I wanted. Not sure if there's a bit of a communication barrier or that they just don't pay attention most of the time. Its the most annoying thing about this place. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!! I happened on this place one Saturday searching for bagels near the new Costco in Dedham. I have been back two Saturdays in a row. Bagels are definitely bigger than they were 20-25 year ago, and these are consistent with the size of what one might see in New York, as opposed a local pink and orange chain, There are many options and always freshly made. The staff are friendly and INCREDIBLY patient and the bagels are wonderfully chewy, without being tough. The price point is a little on the higher end, but well worth it. read more

I happened to be nearby for a dr appt (blech ) and hadn't eaten all day and was happy to see there was a bagel shop right nearby. It was easy to find and ample parking. The gentlemen behind the register appeared to be new and the seasoned employee was helping him make drinks folks were ordering. It was a bit of a wait but that's ok because, he acknowledged I was there and said sorry for the wait. I told him no problem. He was doing his best to get the orders in and the employee helping him was so calm and not once roll her eyes or made a face when he asked question. Your staff should be commended on handling of the line during a busy time. So the important part , the bagels. I'm kind of a snob because my soot brings me bagels from New Jersey. These were just as good. They were huge and fluffy. I had an everything bagel and it was loaded with seeds. It was toasted perfectly with lots of cream cheese. The inside is very friendly and welcoming and would be a nice place to hang and have a coffee drink. I didn't have one but they looked amazing. It's a great spot with good service. Long search for a bagel shop is unfortunately not over for me. Walked in full of hope. It was a Sunday afternoon, few bagels left. I picked a rosemary one to try, and grabbed 6 more for $9 something. Good deal. It seemed the bagels are made old school, and the website has a photo with bagels being boiled. To me, they tasted wrong. I liked the flavor, but the texture is not of an old school bagel - not starchy or dense enough. Unfortunately, not NY style bagels. read more

One of my favorite local bagel shops. The shop itself is adorable, and such a cute little cafe to spend some time in. The bagels are always soft and fresh, and I have never noticed an issue with variety in bagel flavors. Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is classic, and to die for from here in my opinion! Stopped by there this morning to give them a try. The location is very good, and accessible to the busy traffic, in Foxborough, Walpole line. My first impression of the business was good, they have lots of beautiful orchids which I love, and a very relaxed zen vibe. The employees are extremely nice and friendly, making you feel welcomed. I got half a dozen bagels with veggie cream cheese, which was really good. I also got a bacon egg, no cheeses breakfast sandwich. They bacon is really good and the eggs are good and fluffy. The bagels are very good! And the veggie cream cheese, has real veggies. I noticed they have expresso machines and all types of coffee variations, will try next time. Good addition to this area. Even though we went late in day still Nice variety of bagels. All cream cheese is made fresh and in-house. The service and people behind the counter are very very nice. They explain everything and they are very patient. I explain to them how I was only looking for brewed flavored coffee as I was allergic to regular and the girl helped me out by mixing two flavors so I could have something different. It did not take long for the bagels to be toasted and the cream cheese put on the prizes table for us for the meeting a friend and he's just as a table so we can put an extra chair there everything was perfect. I am looking forward to going again. It is a nice clean, fresh, not cluttered business. read more

Went in today (Sunday) at 1030a and it was not busy at all. walked right up and ordered. waited 20 minutes for 2 bagels. i watched as they started my order to finish and it took him (one person) 15 mins to make two bagels (bacon egg and cheese). there were teens working and they would stop and have conversations and get distracted. literally would watch him forget what he was doing upon going back to making the sandwiches. it was frustrating. Then each bagel had one slice, ONE SLICE of bacon. eggs and bacon are precooked then heated up in the microwave. so needless to say shouldn't have taken 15 minutes. Gunther Tooties in Foxboro or Tastys in plainville are much better if you can make the ride. loaded with bacon, freshly cooked egg, fresh bagels, super quick service! I've been in the area for three weeks and finally went in search of good bagels. I was delighted to walk into Everything Bagel to find a clean bright restaurant with several patrons. I checked the bagel case and found several choices to my liking, including pumpernickel. The ladies running the store were friendly and helpful and I will definitely be back often during the two weeks left if my stay.
