I'm not even vegan, but when I'm here, I choose to be, because the food is that delicious. Acai bowls, wraps, salads, bagel or focaccia or English muffin sandwiches, all of it tastes amazing and also leaves me feeling amazing afterwards. Taste AND standards, who knew!? They also have such a wonderful variety of take away items: in-house pressed juices, freshly-made bagels, brownies and chocolate pudding (YUM!) and Polar drinks! This place is amazing! I have eaten here several times, the food is always fresh and delicious. They have a fantastic menu and the owner and the staff are all very friendly. I moved out of Arlington about a year ago and this was one of the local businesses that I wish I could take with me. I stopped by earlier today and got the Arlington, A smoothie, along with one of their bowls, and on a whim decided to buy a bean brownie. Just moved to Arlington and was so relieved to see Thrive Cafe in walking distance of my new home. Whenever I can, I stop in to grab a smoothie. I love the Liquid Pie. It's like apple pie you can drink through a straw, only healthier. Looking forward to trying everything on the menu here. The owner is super friendly, and very passionate about his vegan cafe. Thrive is amazing! I went again today and tried their next seasonal smoothie - cookies and cream! It was absolutely perfect, a yummy treat for this warm winter day. I'm a huge fan of this place and appreciate the good quality ingredients that I get to put into my body. I drank a lot of their smoothies while pregnant and now get them to enjoy while on a walk with my baby. After my first experience, I knew I had to try it again so I chose the sweet chili mustard wrap (sub rice paper). I have never eaten seitan before but let me tell you - this wrap was life changing. I couldn't even take a picture because I wolfed it all down in 5 seconds. Obviously kidding, the wrap was soo huge it took me a bit but was the best tasting wrap ever. And I didn't even miss meat! Now all I dream about is the next time I will be able to get this wrap. My boyfriend also got the hummus wrap and this was his first time ever eating anything vegan (meat wise). My favorite place to eat in Arlington. I am not typically a fan of take out, as I like to know what exactly is in my food to ensure it is reasonably healthful. However, when I am not up for cooking, Thrive is my go-to. Derek does a great job creating substantial plant based dishes that leave me feeling satisfied but not weighed down. My current favorite is the Spicy Cilantro Hummus Seitan Wrap with a side of Street Corn. Really great place for juices and smoothies. I've tried essentially all the smoothies and you can't go wrong. Likewise for the smoothie bowls. All super fresh and very tasty. The loaded avo toast is also great. I'm not vegan and frankly prefer meat on my wraps/sandwiches, so haven't had many other items on the menu. But the falafal pesto wrap is great and one of the few lunch dishes that don't make me wish meat had somehow been incorporated. read more
