4 stars is spot on! They have bubble tea, but it's powered formula tea, not "real" bubble tea. There is no seating inside. It has a great selection of bakery items. Credit card minimum is $10, which is standard at Chinatown. Friendly staff members.

Pineapple Bun with mochi stuffing inside, ham & corn toast, beef sandwhich, and wife cake

This place reminds me of the 85C degree bakery chain. They have very authentic Taiwanese bread/pastries that I personally like better than the 85C degree selections. I got the pineapple bun that had mochi stuffing inside which is super hard to find! Usually Asian bakeries just sell plain pineapple bun with no stuffing inside. (Also just a side note pineapple bun has no pineapple, it's just referring to its looks). We also got the ham & corn toast, beef sandwich, and the wife cake. We loved every pastries we got. I also love how they sell the wife cake in small bite sizes. It's very addicting... I'll have to come back every time I'm in Boston. This is probably the best Asian bakery in Chinatown. They do have a $10 minimum if you want to pay with credit card. However, their pastries are so amazing you'll easily want to spend over $10.

Honestly a go to for all my Chinatown bakery cravings! Top Bread has yet to disappoint. I feel like the variety and quality of all their products is seriously unmatched in the area, but honestly you can't go wrong with most of the bakeries in Chinatown. I love their pineapple buns ( the ones stuffed with pork floss and mochi and other goodies are to die for ) and their egg tarts are some of the best in the area. I usually stock up wirh a bunch of their products over the weekend if I go and they last me a few days - nothing you can't pop in the microwave and have them taste like new again! Could not recommend this place enough - it'll likely have everything you need and more!

The cheese cake is amazing! People were friendly and there's a decent variety of bakeries. This bakery is located near several other bakeries. It was my first time and I will be back. The pace was clean when I was there but I didn't like that the pastries were being packaged out where people and germs are more prevalent.

Top Bread is right next door to Hong Kong Eatery. After our meal there, we decided to check it out. We were looking for a snack to have later in the evening. When we entered, the lady working at the register greeted us. Then she let us be so that we could browse and decided what to try. My husband wasn't feeling very adventurous. As a result, we decided to try wife cakes. We had never heard of wife cakes. My husband, after reading the ingredients, decided he wanted to try them. The ingredients are simple: sugar, rice flour, butter. Wife cakes are Cantonese in origin. Some have fillings in them such as winter melon, almond paste and sesame and are seasoned with 5 spice powder. The ones we tried didn't have any filling. We enjoyed them, for the most part. One that I tried had a mealy texture in part of it. The others had a softer, more pleasant mouth feel. They have many different pastries available here. Many are very attractive looking. We were surprised to see tiramisu here. My husband said to wait until we were in The North End to get some of that (which we did and is another review). Do stop in if you are in the neighborhood. You never know what you will find to try.

Top Bread has a wide selection at reasonable prices, though perhaps not the most competitive in Chinatown. I was surprised to find fluffy Japanese style cheese cake, something I rarely see in American based bakeries. I grabbed a taro bun - absolutely loved it. The sponge like pull apart bread was filled with a sweet taro paste and baked until golden brown. They also offer their spin on pork floss cake sandwiches (a cult favorite that has become a household name in China). Haven't tried this version but they look appetizing.

I had ordered for pickup for a designated time, however finished my meetings sooner than expected and so arrived there around an hour early and asked if they could prepare the food at that time and they very kindly did. It was a 15-20 minute wait but that was totally fine! The space is cozy and quite crowded as always. Like that they added the extra doorway for winter to keep the inside warm. I ordered the chicken & vegetable soup - I think Tatte's version might be my favorite chicken soup - it's just right with the mix of tender chicken, veggies and has white beans- mild flavors- yummy!! I want to try and recreate it at home one day. The chicken pita sandwich is another favorite- really hearty with plenty of chicken and love the cucumbers and tomatoes and the sauce - perfect! I also ordered the salmon dish with the seasonal veggies- the crust was so crispy - it felt like the skin but didn't look like it very curious! Lots of food - had enough for leftovers for another lunch!!

The meal options are all on laminated pages instead of on a big board, but they did have a lot of good options. We started with regular drip coffee which was ready quickly and we could sweeten to our liking. We tried the house breakfast which was two eggs any style (got them fluffy and scrambled), crispy bacon, cheesy potato fritters with tomato jam (similar to ketchup), and sourdough bread (we asked for butter) it was all very filling and some nice spins on a traditional breakfast. The bakery selection is out of this world - from breakfast pastries to delicately crafted desserts. The cinnamon and pecan rose was just like the center of a cinnamon bun, which was fantastic. It was big enough for two people to indulge without overdoing it. There weren't a lot of outlets, so not ideal for long term laptop use, but the food came quickly, it wasn't too loud even with a ton of people coming in and out. The prices were reasonable, and everything tasted amazing.

There is a wide variety all with great offerings, and a few snack and drink places and a bar. It is a very nice and huge facility, so stylish. The ambiance is great. There was a bird in the rafters which was kind of funny. Unfortunately there is a not a clear online menu that is up to date with all the restaurants and their individual menus on the main Time Out Market website. You have to go into each restaurant and look at their online ordering POS to get to the menu. It was hard to decide what to eat because I could not look at all the options all at once, i had to walk around and look at the individual restaurant menus one at a time. I ended up choosing the Italian food place POE-lenta. I had a very tasty Creamy Chicken Rigatoni. It came with spicy crushed red pepper and grilled lemon as well. It was a good choice and was enjoyable. I did not finish all the chicken but it was pretty good. I also ordered a very yummy mocktail from the bar. I got a Coco Pom, which the bartender described as kind of a pina colada without the rum and with a pomegranate twist. It was really good, I drank it all. They also have convenient cups and a water tap to fill your water by the the two bars. The restroom was huge and very nice, but the stalls are so dark inside, the lighting was so dim I could not really see anything. I think the building should really work on those light levels. There was some appearance of construction ongoing in the hallway to the restrooms. Time Out is a great place to stop and spend some time, with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Maybe it would be better iced but since it's cold outside I wanted something hot. The girl who took my order and made my latte was very nice and very kind. She had a really good vibe coming off her which I love. Five stars for her! So the mocha gets 3 stars, the girl who helped me gets five stars. I may get a cookie to go but haven't decided if I wanna spend $5.75 plus tax on a cookie. The mocha was $5.25 plus tax alone. And the cookies really aren't as big as people say they are. They do look good but I'm not sure if I wanna spend that much on a single cookie. Maybe I'll come back another day. Edit to say I did go back for a cookie.
