    Fancy box for egg tarts
    Filipe V.

The egg tart was just too eggy for me and didn't settle right. If it was half the egg (and a bit sweeter with sugar and milk) that would make it better. I'm used to the Portuguese tarts (pastel de nata) which is a richer, sweeter cream inside and has more flakiness to the tart itself. I purchases the apple/apple pie tart which the topping was delicious and give that 5-stars. As for the tart itself, I wouldn't go back, sadly. The cashier was nice and the place was cool looking and very clean which is important for any baked goods place.

Small speciality shop selling croissant egg tarts with different toppings! I love egg tarts and although I prefer a cookie crust, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try egg tarts with a unique spin on them. The shop is small- kiosk for ordering and 3 seats for you to sit while you wait for your order. More of a grab and go place. Everything looked amazing! I wanted to try all the flavors but settled for ordering the classic egg tart, hazelnut popcorn, blueberry, apple cinnamon, and black sesame flavors. The canales looked good too but my heart and stomach were solely focused on the egg tarts. They were boxed up qnd ready within a few minutes. Every flavor was delicious. At first I thought the filling for each would be different but it's the same luscious, creamy, perfectly sweet filling for each with the toppings setting each apart. The crust was flaky like a croissant and the eggy custard slightly brueled on top. None of the tarts were too sweet and the egg flavor comes through. At around $4, I think they were great value. I wasn't able to pick a favorite- they were all so good! I kept a few in the fridge overnight and while they weren't flaky the next day, the filling was still soft. I will definitely be back and I hope they will have seasonal/rotating flavors. It's a bit of a trek to get to from downtown Boston but well worth it.

I loved everything I got at Diamond Tart! This place offers new takes on the traditional egg tart with its different flavors. They were all very well done and not too sweet. This is more of a take out place. There's no seating inside and it's a very small establishment. The service was quick though and the people working were all very kind. It's a great place to try if you're in the neighborhood!

It's been ages since I ate a good egg tart. I appreciate that you can order from the kiosk. These egg tarts are a little pricey compared to the local bakery, but they can't be compared since they have so many different flavors and are beautifully presented. The crust was so flaky, and the egg custard was smooth and not sweet; even my grandma was able to enjoy them. The smell is so tempting when you pass by since the oven never stops baking. The canelé was sweeter compared to their croissant egg tarts due to the caramelization on the outside, and the inside was moist. It's okay with me, but I preferred their croissant egg tarts more. I ordered the black sesame milk, which I am not a big fan of, due to a lack of black sesame taste. I will definitely come back if I am in the area again for more egg tarts, but I will probably stick with the original since I have tried most of the flavors already.

My partner and I got the classic croissant egg tart - TASTE: 4/5 - classic egg tart flavor. Would come back to try all the other fruity options TEXTURE: 5/5 - very flaky and satisfying! PRICE: 4/5 - not your dim sum prices, $3-5 for each SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - perfect for a sweet afternoon treat SERVICE: 4/5 - walked in at 2pm on a Saturday and thankfully no one else was inside the tight quarters lol. Service was quick ATMOSPHERE: 3/5 - didn't realize Tiger Sugar was gone and replaced w Diamond Tart! Cute plushies, a couple seats, and the same tiny space PARKING: 4/5 - got a metered street spot near Harvard Ave x Commonwealth Ave

The pastries here are good and it's great to see innovation on oldies. The classic croissant egg tart was flaky and the custard was not overly sweet but just the right amount of sugar. The problem was with ordering the black sesame cannele since the filling, unbeknownst to us, was not just black sesame but had peanuts as fillers -- since my son had an peanut allergy experience after taking a small bite of the same. My guess is that the store either used Black sesame paste that was already prepared by another producer or used peanuts as fillers. Either way, knowing the prevalence of peanut allergies, it would have been better had "peanut" been listed in the description for the black sesame cannele.

Diamond Tart has some really delicious croissant egg tarts. I tried the classic croissant egg tart, but they also have a lot of unique flavors that I'd want to try next time. I really liked how generous the filling was. It was rich, smooth, and custardy, paired with a flaky croissant crust that I might even prefer over the traditional crust. The best compliment a dessert can get from an Asian is not being too sweet, and this hit the mark. What would make this 5 stars is if the pastries were warmed up before serving and if the customer service were a bit better.

Matcha, Original and Blueberry Egg Tarts

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon shortly after opening to try some of their flaky egg tarts. Their shells are super buttery and flaky and are a perfect compliment to the smooth custard. I liked seeing all the different flavors they had available in addition to the original egg custard. I particularly enjoyed the matcha tart, where the match topping complimented the egg custard base quite well and was not overpowering. As a bonus, everything here is just the right amount of sweet. I didn't see any canele while I was there so I'll have to try one next time I visit if they're in stock. Seems to be getting popular but it's definitely worth a try if you're in the area. I'd say this egg tart's shell is halfway between a standard flaky crust egg tart and a pastel de nata. I'd come again.

Tried the Classic Croissant Egg Tart. In general, the taste is pretty good. The tart is very crispy and the egg custard is tender and has the right amount of sweetness. I'll definitely come back to try other flavors next time. 4 stars mainly because the service is ok. This place is pretty small and have very limited seating. So mostly it's good for takeout only.

This place smells way too tempting for me to just walk by. Their menu and decor is cute, and you order on a touch screen. The tart and two caneles I got were perfect in terms of flavor and texture. I love the flavors available including black sesame, hazelnut, matcha, etc and I kind of wish I had tried their tea too. Would definitely come back. I'd be a regular if they were closer.

Very solid egg tart spot which opened in what was previously a boba place. Small cute casual place only has 3 chairs for folks waiting for their order. You can order at a kiosk or with the cashier. I came on a Saturday afternoon and they had fresh tarts piping hot fresh from the oven. I ordered the classic egg, blueberry and matcha tarts. The shell was a flaky pastry dough with lots of layers, and the custard was super light and not very sweet at all. The one downside is that the filling/toppings for the blueberry and matcha tarts spilled over. Definitely will come again and recommend to friends. Pricing was not bad ranging between $3.25-$3.85 depending on which ones you ordered.

Diamond Tart is a small egg tart spot in Allston with just a few seats inside. You can order at the counter or through their kiosk. We tried the matcha egg tart and the chocolate egg tart & both were sooo delicious. Each egg tart is around $4. The matcha had a slight bitterness that balanced nicely with the sweet egg filling. The chocolate one was my favorite with chocolate on the inside and the top.The service was fast since the tarts are pre made. I personally love egg tarts so I loved the concept of different flavors and toppings on such a classic treat. The crust was perfectly flaky & the filling sweet and smooth. Would be coming back to try more flavors!

Happen to walked by this new store while in Allston. Turns out today was their soft opening. The menu includes egg tarts, canelé, and a few curated drinks. Not all menu items were available today. I got the pistachio and original canelé. Blueberry and original egg tarts. The flaky pastry shell was perfectly baked and the egg custard was smooth and delicate. There were many fresh blueberries and the jam was not too sweet. I will come back to try their hazelnut and pistachio tarts next time. The canelé were wonderful too. Perfect bite between the caramelized exterior and moist center. You can taste the vanilla and rum. Since it was a soft opening, they were understaffed. I wish the drink cups were clear or different color so you can see the pretty drinks.

Tried the croissant and pistachio egg tarts and they were amazing. Also one of the best cannelés I've had in the Boston area.

The pistachio egg tart was divine. It was still warm when we got it. The other faves are apple cinnamon, blueberry and matcha.
