Came by for breakfast the other day and it was a decent experience. The cafe features plenty of seating indoors, by the window, outdoors, at the coffee bar, or at a communal table. There was some confusion where the line starts inside the cafe. Opted for the croissant breakfast sandwich with a beef patty. The breakfast sandwich was tasty and gigantic. The latte was also tasty too. Came back to try the tiramisu as an afternoon snack and it wasn't super fresh. It was decent, although on the pricier side at $7.50 each. Great place for breakfast, coffee, and baked good. There are a ton of tables to either have a peaceful meal alone or to meet someone. There wasn't really any line at the register. The meal options are all on laminated pages instead of on a big board, but they did have a lot of good options. We started with regular drip coffee which was ready quickly and we could sweeten to our liking. We tried the house breakfast which was two eggs any style (got them fluffy and scrambled), crispy bacon, cheesy potato fritters with tomato jam (similar to ketchup), and sourdough bread (we asked for butter) it was all very filling and some nice spins on a traditional breakfast. The bakery selection is out of this world - from breakfast pastries to delicately crafted desserts. The cinnamon and pecan rose was just like the center of a cinnamon bun, which was fantastic. It was big enough for two people to indulge without overdoing it. There weren't a lot of outlets, so not ideal for long term laptop use, but the food came quickly, it wasn't too loud even with a ton of people coming in and out. Love Tatte!! Especially when your work gives you a free lunch - Tatte is one the places I choose almost always. I had ordered for pickup for a designated time, however finished my meetings sooner than expected and so arrived there around an hour early and asked if they could prepare the food at that time and they very kindly did. It was a 15-20 minute wait but that was totally fine! The space is cozy and quite crowded as always. Like that they added the extra doorway for winter to keep the inside warm. I ordered the chicken & vegetable soup - I think Tatte's version might be my favorite chicken soup - it's just right with the mix of tender chicken, veggies and has white beans- mild flavors- yummy!! I want to try and recreate it at home one day. The chicken pita sandwich is another favorite- really hearty with plenty of chicken and love the cucumbers and tomatoes and the sauce - perfect! I also ordered the salmon dish with the seasonal veggies- the crust was so crispy - it felt like the skin but didn't look like it very curious! Only thing preventing this from being 1 star is that the service was good. This was the worst latte I've probably ever had. Ordered an iced mocha, and instead of using a chocolate sauce or syrup, for some reason they decided to use ground up chocolate chips. It was like drinking sand. Absolutely bizarre choice and was not drinkable. read more

Everything we had was good with the ginger and date latte and the breakfast sandwich being the standouts. My husband also had a mocha latte which he really enjoy but I didn't love it and I had a morning bun which had a nice slightly gooey center but was a little too flaky and dry on the outside. Service was overall friendly. read more

This is one of the best locations for people watching around Fenway... oh, and the food is pretty solid too! Everyone and their Mom told me to come here so I did. Honestly, wouldn't come back, soley for the customer service. The woman behind the counter was abrasive and rude when I asked about whether or not they had unsweetened iced green tea. Long story short, we got to the bottom of it and they did in fact have this but it didn't taste right to me, very lemon forward. The tables in the dining area were dirty, it just gave me cold vibes, not cozy and inviting by any means. The place was packed so clearly they are doing something right here but the quick interactions sometimes make it or break it for me and there are too many other cafes and coffee shops in the area to go back here for potentially rude service. While I worked for the company at the Fenway location from 2017-2018, it is fascinating seeing how much they've grown and expanded since then! I remember meeting the owner and being so fascinated by her and her story. I absolutely love the quality of Tatte's food and have made sure to stop by to get some food whenever I visit Boston (as I now reside on Long Island, NY). My favorite was the croissant breakfast sandwich paired with the pear tart (such a great combination with the shortbread and pear). Tatte is always thoroughly cleaned by staff (can confirm this as someone who worked with the company lol) and appears beautifully lit, with bright white and black colors throughout to create a comfortable and sophisticated vibe. read more

Heard great things, left kinda disappointed. The coffee was okay but couldn't even taste the pistachio flavor in there and the key lime treat we got was good but like insanelyyyy sweet and just full of icing. Also the staff was kinda rude and just seemed like they were annoyed that we were ordering? Food: Tasty - really enjoy their options Service: Quick Ambiance: lots of people so seats are tricky but overall pretty Side note: Random but if you want extra bacon make sure you say how many pieces. Apparently each piece is $2. The order comes w two strips, and you pay $2 for an additional strip. I asked for a side of bacon, and it wasn't until my order came out that they told me they don't do sides and that "extra" means 1 more piece. Which ok fine, but pls explain. We stopped by for a quick breakfast (outside the Target) and were completely surprised by the quality of the food and lattes as well as the wonderful staff who helped us with our choices. In Boston for a vacation. We enjoy trying things that aren't available at home. This place is great. I had shakshuka with lamb meatballs. Wife had egg-in-a-hole with ham and it was excellent. Definitely recommended. read more

This is one of my most enjoyable experiences in a coffee house. I sauntered up to give my order to Angel who was one of the most patient wait staff I have encountered. I was ordering a variety of specifications for my lattes and then asked to back track so I could grab some bakery items. Angel just made the experience so much fun! read more

Tatte is awesome and when I visited Boston and ran into this location, I stopped by for a quick breakfast. I ordered my favorite Spinach, Jerusalem artichoke and Egg plate and a drip coffee. I found a great table and my breakfast arrived and it was delicious! I love Aleppo chili oil and how it brings the whole egg plate to a new level. I will miss Tatte when I go home. read more

Went into this place today. Extremely rude service and my whole order was wrong. I ordered a sausage sandwich and got a completely different sandwich with ingredients I'm not even supposed to be eating. This place needs to increase their order efficiency and their customer service. Do not come here unless you're ready to argue about your order. read more

I'm always searching for local places to stop for a coffee pick-me-up or a quick bite / snack. We had some time to kill before our tour of Fenway Park and found this delightful place. The inside is decorated with white subway black-splash, pops of black tiles and old style light fixtures. They have a very large display of baked and savory goods. I'm confident you can find something in there that you will love. They have breads, sandwiches, desserts and more. They staff are all friendly; they have excellent suggestions- so just ask. I ordered their house latte which has hints of honey and cardamom in it. It was so delicious I forgot to grab any photos of the food or drinks ‍. My husband had a hazelnut latte and said it was very good. He also tried the sun-dried tomato and feta scone. I had a few bites and found it to be bursting with flavor- savory and well baked. read more

What's not to love about Tatte? Tatte has it all and then some. They are a perfect coffee shop and café in the Boston area for every season! They have an amazing drink menu with all your classic café options of coffee and espresso-based drinks, chai lattes, matcha lattes, and tea. The pastry selection is gorgeous with options for some gluten-free and dairy free. The pastries and bakery items are always so gorgeous and consistently good. I also love their food options from sandwiches to bowls and soups. This makes them a perfect brunch selection, but also amazing for lunch and dinner. When you walk into a Tatte, you're just hit with all of these happy and somewhat magical vibes. I think there's something for everyone which is why they are such a well loved establishment in Boston and beyond! Some of my friends even order from them online and have it shipped across the country - Tatte is just that good. I have always had really good service, even when the café is hustling and bustling during peak times. I love that Tatte fosters an environment where the workers are happy to be there. When it comes to seating, there's some indoor as well as outdoor seating. Some people study or read here, but most of the time it's people catching up with friends and enjoying a delicious meal. During busy times it's always full which can be hard to plan on dining in. However, seats normally open up over time. Seating is first come first serve but if you're eating in, you are given a number and your food will be given to you. I've never had a time where seating didn't work out even when it was super full. Tatte will always be one of my favorites! read more

Tl;Dr - a solid cafe with both great coffee and bakery/food items! Idk why it took me so long to try Tatte, but I'm so happy I have! Their coffee and other beverages are great! (Lemon Thyme Espresso Spritz is a much try!) I appreciate that they always have a vegan sandwich option, but so wish their baked goods did as well (almost everything has dairy and/or egg). They do have a robust gluten friendly menu though! Service is always top notch and the staff are always so friendly and helpful. Inside is chill with a decent amount of close quarter seating. I don't know how well it would be to have Tatte as your go-to study place (crowded and a bit loud at times) but I know people do. Overall a quality cafe for a quick coffee and bite to eat :) Food - 8/10 Service - 10/10 Vibes - 7/10 read more

The perfect brunch spot in Fenway! I often come here for breakfast if I have the time, especially in the early morning and it's always a good start to my day. 90% of the time I get their shakshuka, any version is amazing! The other 10%, I try something new and so far, I haven't been disappointed. Their service is pretty fast, even during busy hours. If you have a special event, their pastries are also delicious and pretty. Overall a great and easy spot to go to for brunch, just be ready to wait for a table! read more

I had the lamb shakshuka, prosciutto and fig panini, and enjoyed a refreshing matcha lemonade. The lamb shakshuka, although always amazing, had eggs a bit runny for my liking. The panini burst with flavor but was slightly cold. I went on a Friday night and it was packed with people but I managed to find a seat. So this is a local Boston chain, I have been to two locations today. Both locations are beautiful, with a lot of beautiful people drinking, eating, reading. Feels like a trendy place. The bakery is absolutely jaw dropping, the selection is endless and they all looked amazing. We tried the Jerusalem bagel and cinnamon muffin. Both are delicious. We had two lattes and they are very well made. My only regret is our latte were served in paper cups. At the second location I specifically emphasized I wanted "for here" and I still got the paper cups. I was envious of all my neighbors with beautiful cups of coffee. I can't help to wonder if my skin is too dark to get served the ceramic cups. I am a bougie brat and I want my overpriced latte in ceramic cups. So I probably will not ever go there again. But based on food and drinks this place is top notch. read more

My order was for takeout so I can't speak much for inside Tatte but the food was really good. My only complaint was that all the vegetables were different sizes? So I had sliced mushroom and then larger ones that were not as well cooked and same for the onions. Some were cut thin and easily chewable and some were thick and hard to bite through read more

The only reason I'm leaving a review (even though the service and ambiance are very nice) is to say how AMAZING the "Short Rib & Eggplant Couscous Bowl" is. This items is buried on the back side of the menu but deserves a front row seat.... So so so good. Five stars just to come eat this dish. read more

A little pricey, but very solid options for a chain cafe. I've never had shakshuka, but this was great first try! It was very busy at 9am though if you wait a couple minutes a seat most likely will open. The food came out quick and I appreciated the decent portion and the complimentary water. read more

We got the chocolate croissant and the morning bun. The chocolate croissant was huge and amazing. The morning bun was a combination of a croissant, cinnamon roll and churro all in one. We only got one and between the four of us. I only got a few bites so I definitely need to go back and get another one all for myself. read more

Honey halva latte - it's the perfect amount of sweetness. The latte has hints of honey and sesame. It's a unique latte and I'm glad I tried it. I would want to try it hot. Morning bun - crispy and flakey on the outside. It's super airy and coated in cinnamon sugar. It's super sweet so I'd recommend it with coffee. It was my favorite baked good. Pistachio croissant - I'm a huge fan of pistachio croissants and I really wanted to like it but my croissant was pretty dry. It didn't have much of the pistachio spread on the inside. read more

Love this place. Live in Nashville now but always come here when I visit Boston. Easy to walk to from the Fenway T stop (D line). Service is fast and friendly. Saw a lovely server patiently help an older man order coffee and pastries. Relaxing, bright interior with plenty of places to sit. Amazing desserts and pastries. Love the shakshuka. Super cute and spacious cafe for a quick bite to eat. This Tatte location is my go-to when I'm visiting Longwood. The service is always great, and I usually go for the chicken pita. It's very delicious, packed with chicken and fresh veggies, and I really enjoy the tzaziki sauce. It's a little bit messy, but delicious regardless. Tried this spot before walking over to a game at Fenway. Coffee shop was super cute and had tons of seating. Seems like a great spot to get some studying (space is a bit noisy though), meet friends, or just read a book. We had a cappuccino and house latte. The food here is just good, not great. Honestly for a bakery I expected the toast to be a lot better than it was and the rest of the food was just decent. The matcha latte is pretty good but there's definitely better, and I didn't like their cold brew. I think tatte is a quick and easy option that's easy to find all throughout boston, but personally I'm never really impressed by it and would recommend checking out other places over Tatte read more

Even neighborhoods I used to know by heart feel a little unfamiliar now (why is Downtown Crossing so CLEAN???). Thankfully, there are still those core-memory places that survive the passage of time. Thinking Cup is one of those shiny throwbacks to my younger, more vulnerable days. I'm happy to see it's still here, although I was surprised to find it's noticeably bigger than I remembered. Some things change for the better. The only downside? No Wi-Fi. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. In fact, I kind of respect it. It just made my usual review routine impossible. I normally post photos to Instagram first, then write my Yelp review afterward. No Wi-Fi meant no uploads, so you'll have to take my word for it this time. The coffee is solid. I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip across town just for that. The carrot cake, however... Now I understand why everyone talks about it. Moist without being heavy, perfectly balanced on the spice, and topped with a delish frosting that somehow manages to be rich without becoming overly sweet. It's easily among the best carrot cakes I've had anywhere. Some places survive because they're familiar. Others survive because they continue earning it. After all these years, Thinking Cup still deserves a place in Boston's coffee conversation, and I'm glad one of my favorite old haunts is still making new memories.

Very seaport forward. The downsides: * The Connecticut-style roll barely had any butter and definitely needed more. * The lobster was slightly overcooked probably by a few minutes which made it a bit tougher than it should have been. * At around $40 per lobster roll, I expected better execution. The clam chowder was also disappointing. I kept wondering where the clams were because I barely tasted any. It was very thick and mostly tasted like corn. Even after adding salt and pepper, it didn't improve much. Overall, I expected more for the price. There were definitely some highlights, especially the bun with fresh lobster and the atmosphere, but the food didn't quite live up to the cost. That said, I'll give it another try because maybe this was just a fluke. I always like giving restaurants a second chance, and I'm hoping this experience was the exception rather than the norm.
