Came by for dessert the other night and it was a mediocre experience. Had my eyes set on the milk soft serve cone for $6 and it became $7.5 on the ordering tablet inside the shop. When I attempted to check out on the kiosk, there was a $0.25 convenience fee and I had to input my phone number in order to check out?!? Ordered with the staff and there was no need for a phone number or the $0.25 convenience fee... The staff put on a glove before making my ice cream. The milk flavored ice cream looked great but only tasted so-so. It wasn't a Cremia like I would find in Japan. The most amazing matcha! You can tell the matcha here is quality compared to other places. It's so good it's hard to get matcha anywhere else. I got the original matcha latte and jasmine matcha latte. They also have matcha icecream and it was thickly and creamy. Service is quick and friendly. Loved this place! Im not even a matcha fan but i was wowed. The floats are good value imo-- 8.50 for basically two desserts, first the soft serve float and then the latte. The hojicha soft serve was incredible and I loved the latte too. Do note that they use thin petal shaped pieces of ice throughout the latte to support the ice cream. So the latte is going to be 80% ice. However, the liquid in the latte is extremely concentrated to make up for this, so I recommend breaking up the ice and dissolving it a bit to really enjoy the latte as much as possible. The place was busy and some tabletops/chairs were sticky. There was some outdoor seating but it was a bit uncomfortable in the cold. It also took a while to get our drinks. This is the best matcha cafe in Boston! I love how cute the inside of the shop is (even though it's small) and the matcha here is fire! It's in a good area as it's near an H-mart and some good nearby restaurants. Street parking is relatively easy to find. It's a chain, but they serve awesome ice cream, tea, cake, latte, and slush drinks. Last time I was there, they had some really unique cakes including a matcha tiramisu cake and a mango crepe cake. My favorite items on the menu are their ice cream (matcha, vanilla, hojicha), parfait (has corn flakes for a nice crunchy texture, delicious red bean, and tasty rice mochi) and ube tower cake. You can order at the front from an employee or a self service kiosk. There are two gender neutral bathrooms in the back. Also, there are utensils and a glass water jar near the food pickup area. The tables are small and mostly for two people, but they do have outside seating available. They had EDM music playing in the background. Overall, I'll be back here to get my matcha fix! read more

I got a matcha float ($8) with a matcha-milk swirl on top. The matcha soft serve had a decently nutty tea flavor and wasn't too sweet. I actually liked the milk flavor more, which was very creamy! I got the matcha tea without any sweetener to taste the tea. While I definitely felt the caffeine in the tea, the flavor itself was pretty mild. I would expect the flavor to be even more mild if I had gotten a latte or added sweetener to the matcha. The service was excellent my order was correct the presentation and everything was sealed shut when I got it. The drink Banana milk was very refreshing and good sweet but not to overly sweet. Popped in here after dinner. Long productive day and since it was close by to where we were for the day, we thought let's check out the hype! The space is small, has wall seating with little dinner tray style tables in between every other seat so friends can share the space along the wall. There is also a window counter seating and like 2 tables! We opted for matcha/milk combo ice cream soft serve with cone, and ube + hojicha flavored one. They made it extremely fast, getting a cup cost extra (these days everything does) The matcha milk swirl i got was good but i couldn't finish it. The matcha ice cream definitely had a more earthy note compared to their competitors in the same space (probably less sugar mixed in haha) and the milk soft serve was nice! I get underwhelmed every time I come here. The cakes are beautiful, but lack taste and are just sweet. The hojicha latte and soft serve are watered down. The only items that are consistent are the green tea latte and soft serve. The milk soft serve is also pretty good. Standing in line is also pretty stressful as it cuts through the small sitting space and the pick up area is all the way in the back which is tiny and crowded. That place is the real deal but it's often hard to find parking. This place has plenty of meter parking available. Store is very small but very clean. It had gender neutral bathrooms which is a plus. I like the little area they set up outside to sit at a bar looking out to the street or tables for larger parties. Staff is friendly and quick to manage lines. Line moves pretty efficiently.
