We happened to get a freshly baked one which was fluffy and melt in your mouth delicious! Also, it must be said that their service is A+. Their staff are truly such kind folks - always smiling and making friendly conversation with their customers. Orange blossom latte- frankly didn't get any flavor of orange blossom in the latte, until it melted totally I could taste it a little in the coffee. The vanilla was also really light. It's a pretty unadulterated coffee (as is typical for a cold brew) and I kinda like my coffee sweet and creamy, so I was not too impressed on a first taste. But once it melted I liked it a lot more. Probably will stick with black sesame next time. Note- they serve their pastries glued with sugar (?) on a cardboard round. Beautiful evening- I'm sitting here on a blanket on the grass as I'm writing this. Cool evening perfect temps tonight - enjoying this very much! They're also showing the match inside. We ordered a box for our firm and it arrived still warm. Let me sit with that for a second: delivered, still warm. The aroma hit the room before the box was even fully open, and suddenly everyone remembered they were hungry. The chocolate chip cookie is massive, gooey, and unapologetically crisp at the edges, soft and molten in the middle, loaded with chocolate in a way that feels generous rather than excessive. My co-workers kept saying it was one of the best they'd ever had. They were not wrong. They are also now expecting this to happen again. All of which is to say: Levain is an excellent cookie, and also an excellent idea. Send them to someone who needs cheering up. Send them to your team on a hard week. Send them to yourself and tell no one. All valid. All highly recommended.
