Pao de queijo, guava turnover, and chicken sfiha
    Gloria H.

I was intrigued to see a Brazilian bakery when looking for a place for dessert after lunch in Allston. I love a good pao de queijo so I decided to give it a try. They have a pretty wide selection of pastries and breads, though there were no prices listed so I had to ask for the prices. The pao de queijo were 50 cents each, so I got 6. I also got a chicken sfiha and a guava turnover. The pao de queijo (50c/ea) were pretty good, and definitely a reasonable price. They are pretty small and irregular in size/shape. They were a bit stale and hard/dry, but were revived pretty well in an air fryer at home. They had a good subtle cheese flavor and had a lot of holes inside. Assuming they do make them daily, I think they probably taste great if you go early in the morning. Overall I would probably consider getting them again when I'm in the area. Not the best I've had, but it's hard to beat 50 cents. The chicken sfiha ($5.65) was quite substantial with a thick bread layer and a dense chicken filling. I liked the flavor of the chicken -- there was a strong garlic flavor and it was nicely savory. It was all a bit dry and dense but filling and well-flavored. The guava turnover ($3.90) was basically a strip of guava jam inside of puff pastry with some sweet crackly stuff on top. This was also pretty good reheated in the air fryer. My friend also got a guava turnover that had very little jam, so it may be inconsistent. Overall I enjoyed trying a variety of their pastries. Nothing was amazing but everything was solid and the pao de queijo were especially good value. I'm glad I tried this place and will certainly keep it in mind for future Allston visits!

Looks like I need to wear a bra, zil.

So if you're up in Massachusetts And you can't deal with sh** and might lose it You should really just chill Come to Cafe Brasil And then after we'll go home and do sex If the top half of your girlie underwear is feeling poorly, then your Bra's ill. This is an adorable little Brazilian Bakery which I checked out on a couple of occasions now and they make nice Pao De Queijo and other Brazilian Delights like Coxinha. I highly recommend them for all your delicious Brazilian Bakery needs. The woman working here is so adorable as well. Extremely friendly as well with excellent customer service. Not to mention they are absolutely dirt cheap. My other review: This is a lovely little Bakery with really friendly people and the woman working here was really really super nice. I thoroughly enjoyed the warm gooey Pao De Queijo that I bought here and will definitely return. There are a number of bakeries by this name around the region so I guess it might be a chain but this is my favourite so far. This lovely little Brazilian Bakery has excellent PDQ which are the little gooey hot cheese breads and I love that they serve them warm to me. The girl who gave me them was a total sweetheart and seemed to really like me. Friendly people and good products, so definitely a five-star location of this Bakery. Also known as the Padaria Brasil. If you're going to wear a Period Pad, then make sure the Pad Area is the right area, I guess.

This was a nice little spot! There are tables but I just took my pastry to go. I was not sure what anything was, but it all looked good and I was not disappointed. Make sure to check in on Yelp for 15% off!

    Beef Kibe Quibe.

I bought a beef kibe quibe and it seems to me that the inside is undercooked? I honestly don't even know if this is what the kibe's supposed to look like but it tasted somewhat raw to me..

Great selection of items, particularly enjoyed the mango pastry. Lots of other items that I would want to try out.

Parking in the area can be a bit tricky, but it's super convenient to get to via the Green Line, which made it easy overall. For food, everything was delicious: The Romaine & Kale Caesar was good, though I wish it had whole anchovies for a little extra punch. The prosciutto bruschetta was incredible, definitely a standout. The crispy cauliflower was my favorite dish of the night, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The rigatoni bolognese was solid and comforting. The Chianti-Marsala braised beef short rib was insanely tender and cooked perfectly (just wish there were a few more mushrooms!). Also have to mention the dirty martini was so good. Overall, such a great spot with a fun vibe, amazing service, and really tasty food. I'll definitely be back!

The bakery always feels busy in a good way, and everything in the display case looks amazing. My favorites are the apple turnover and the strawberry turnover. Both are excellent. The apple turnover is flaky and buttery with a great apple filling, while the strawberry turnover had a fresh flavor and a light, crispy pastry. Honestly, it was hard to pick a favorite between the two. The staff were friendly, and my order came out quickly even though there were a lot of people there. The café has a nice atmosphere, whether you're stopping in for coffee, meeting up with friends, or just grabbing something to go. There are a lot of great bakeries around Boston, but Tatte is one of the places I find myself returning to. I'd definitely recommend trying the turnovers if you're visiting for the first time.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office.
