    Small scoop

Went here with a few friends to try the new ice cream, and ended up getting a few chocolates as well. Ice cream is high quality - it's SUPER rich, the scoops are tiny (especially for the price...) but are quite sweet and heavy. I was originally worried that the small wouldn't be enough, but when I was done with it I felt satisfied and didn't want anymore. I tried the straciatella and others tried the chocolate honey and hazelnut. All flavors were well defined, I think chocolate honey was the group favorite. Not being able to try anything is tough, I would have probably gotten a different flavor but was scared to branch out to the more unique flavors in case I didn't like them - at 8.50 for a small it felt like a big risk haha. A friend got the waffle cone and felt it was really good. We each tried a little chocolate too which were unsurprisingly very tasty. I'm not sure this would be my go to ice cream place , especially in Coolidge with so many options, but it's an indulgent treat and I'm glad I tried it!

Brookline branch of the "Best Hot Chocolate" in Best of Boston 2025. Happened to wander in. Milk Chocolate: Absolutely worth the fame. Both milk and chocolate were dream-likely condensed, fragrant, sweet, silky and thick, but surprisingly not overwhelming at all. Milk inside actually reminded me of the condensed milk from my hometown Canton. Imagine how comfortable it would be to hold a small hot cup at a leisurely, sun-drenched winter afternoon. Chocolate Mousse Cake: I have to admit that the cake was not as good as the beverage, interesting though. Mousse was over sweetened for me Chinese, even the mild hint of citrusy sourness couldn't save it.

Really enjoyed this place! Their Gruyère croissant was delicious especially with their cappuccino, and their chocolate as well. What a cozy place for a morning coffee and pastry.

Really amazing and delectable chocolates (of course!). I personally love the drinking chocolate, which you can get as dark, milk, or white chocolate. They also have a spiced one that I haven't tried but have heard is pretty good. They also have non-dairy milks (oat milk and almond milk) available that can be added to the drinks. I personally love the dark drinking chocolate with oat milk. It's so smooth and creamy! They have so many different types of chocolates in the cases and some prepackaged to make an easy gift! They have a lot of variety, as well as some other coffee beverages and bakery items. Would highly recommend! The service is great, very friendly and helpful. The inside feels like Disneyland - a step into some magical, happy place. There is a decent amount of indoor seating, but it's also a great location if you want to walk around Coolidge Corner. This place is a go to for fall and winter to find some cozy peace and a little sweet treat for some joy!

Located at the corner of beacon Street near Coolidge corner, another great location for LA Burdick. I came on a busy Saturday afternoon to meet up with a couple of friends. It was very busy and difficult to get a table. There's a few small tables in the front and a few small booths in the back. The tables are fixed to the ground so you can only move chairs around. I got a small white chocolate hot chocolate and the gyurere croissant. Both were great as the hot chocolate was very rich while the croissant was cheesy and flaky. I'd definitely come here again to try out their other hot chocolates or check out other locations. Overall, a great sweet midday treat for the weekend.

I got an Americano and mocha cake. They were both delicious in flavor as well as appearance. I'll definitely be back!

Some of the chocolates inside...the mice were so cute!

Stopped in for some hot chocolate to warm up from the drizzly Boston day and it was the perfect treat! The store inside is welcoming and set up well...all of the chocolates looked so beautiful and tempting. The chocolate mice were so cute too! We opted for the single origin hot chocolate of the day and it was fantastic. It is very thick and rich so we chased each sip with a sip of water but it did hit the spot. Got a lovely boxed chocolate to go as well. Thank you for the treat, L.A. Burdick!

A whole store dedicated to chocolate! It's hard to find a dark chocolate hot chocolate but Burdick had one and it was fabulous! Their cakes all looked very delicious and options were plentiful. We tried one of the lemon chocolate cakes and hot chocolates. Very creamy and tasty drinks and a perfect pair with the lemon cake. Will 100% be back!

Outstanding hot chocolate, intensely flavored and thick, as if they melted a chocolate bar for you to drink. Several varieties available, including milk, dark or white chocolate with or without coffee to make it a mocha, plus a spicy dark chocolate and a rotating single sourced chocolate from various equatorial countries. Friendly service. Just enough seating to get the job done. Oh, and a respectable chocolate chip cookie that ranks fairly high on my list: thick and rippled with chocolate closer to fudge, and a solid base too, with walnuts adding to the experience. Worth a look and worth trying all the flavors.

I still remember when Boston only had one store, and was really excited to check out this new location in Brookline. The space is much larger and roomie are feeling. They have all of the classic chocolates, the signature hot chocolates, as well as a very complete pastry selection. It's a perfect place for a quick afternoon tea and pick me up with friends. They use mariage de freres tea and of course the hot chocolate is amazing!

I've been to this LA Burdick twice and had decent experiences both times. The first visit was on a weekend it was busy, so we had to wait for a table. I ordered a pastry(torte) and a green tea. The second time was on a weekday, and it was much quieter with plenty of seating. I ordered the same thing again. No complaints about the things I had, but not memorable. You can find similar stuff at plenty of other places. The parking was easy both times as there is a lot of meters nearby.

The chocolate was really good same with the hot chocolate. I would come again and suggest that you try it.

I've gotten the mixed chocolate and hot chocolate several times as well. The hot chocolate is never quite the same as the store but worth trying! They had a thin string on the back to mimic a tail, which also helps keep your hands clean--a fun and thoughtful design. The cocoa and milk flavors were pure and rich, with a smooth and silky texture. I personally didn't find it too sweet. My friends who tasted it also raved about it. Pavé Glacé: The best of the bunch. Made in the same way as nama chocolate生チョコ--frozen chocolate ganache, but this one had a fine layer of cocoa powder, making it denser and more solid. It melted in mouth and starts to linger, with a more distinct flavor profile from bitter to sweet to fragrant. Sesame Truffe: Two pieces in one serving was perfect. A thin layer of light cocoa powder on the surface, the shell was so crisp that it crumbled in mouth, and the flowing filling with nutty and caramel flavors immediately spills out. However, I didn't taste much sesame; it's closer to hazelnut, the classic chocolate flavor, and a bit on the sweeter side.

So I did but took me a while. While waiting an Asian woman showed up and they took her order at the register, didnt tell her to use the kiosk. Apparently the kiosk is for non asians cuz they kept telling the non asians to use it while taking orders from the asian customers at the register area. This led me to not going back for a very long time. Recently I ended up here with another friend and its been awhile but wow iits dirty inside. They have a standing oscillating fan near the display donuts that have alot of dust build up in chunks.. The counters where you can get napkins ect, completely dirty, parts of the floor dirty. just dirty. The Donut displays are literally falling apart as pieces of the display donuts have fallen off, They should fix that. The donuts were alright, a doughy fried doe, a bit chewy and the tops we got Ube and Yuzu flavor but they were pretty lacking in flavor, was hoping for a lot more. Im not sure why ppl go here exactly, to each their own but it feels like they are being supported by the Asian community just because they are one of the only korean donut stores to exist not because they have great donuts.

Let me sit with that for a second: delivered, still warm. The aroma hit the room before the box was even fully open, and suddenly everyone remembered they were hungry. The chocolate chip cookie is massive, gooey, and unapologetically crisp at the edges, soft and molten in the middle, loaded with chocolate in a way that feels generous rather than excessive. The people who work there are pretty kind and will help in case of any kind of trouble you find, as my drink was made incorrectly and the man behind the counter was kind enough to notice and remake it before I even grabbed it, which was well appreciated. The food itself, and my drink, an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk, though was a bit of a miss for ME personally. I went with two other friends who seemed to like their food and drinks for the most part. Mango Cream Donut- The Mango Cream donut was probably the best thing I tried from our spread, it doesn't taste as you'd expect and meets you with a very light and airy mango flavor in the cream, very tasty and i'd gladly get this again. 8/10 Red Bean Cream Bun- This was the second best thing I tried that day, once again very light and very delicious, soft and creamy red bean filling, covered by a very soft and well baked breading. 9/10 Frappe- The Frappe we got was I believe a plain coffee frappe, this was an item my friend ordered, and i definitely liked it more than my own drink 8/10 Sweet Potato Cake- Pretty good, could be better. I love sweet potato, and this was a very unique taste on a sweet potato baked good. I would eat it again if it was gifted for sure, but idk if i'd go out of my way to get it. 6.5/10 Iced Vanilla Latte with Oat milk- I was not a fan of my latte. The milk tasted a bit off, or maybe the syrup but something was just a bit odd. Gave it to a friend and even they didn't want to finish it 5/10 Curry Puff- It has so much potential, and i think there was something a bit off about it as well. it's a certain taste i can't put my finger on, and i think it was something with the breading or the sesame seeds. i really wanted to like this, and really liked the first half until the off flavor became a bit overwhelming for me 5/10 Matcha Croissant- I love matcha, and i love croissants, so together i expected something to fall in love with, but this was a tad bit of a miss for me. i think truthfully it tasted a bit stale to me and like the matcha cream had been sitting for a bit too long. 4/10 Short bread Cookies- The short bread cookies I got were pretty good! it's a bit hard to go wrong with cookies. but these were nothing to write home about 7.5/10
