Originally wanted to come here to try their pasta, but unfortunately wasn't able to make the timing to arrive during dinner. Instead I ordered their prosciutto board and got their prosciutto, sausage, and pimento cheese. The waiter explained that most of their ingredients are fresh from the local area, and certain ingredients are imported from Italy. Honestly, it was just a great board overall. The prosciutto was soft and had a delicate texture to it. The bread was toasted, but not crunchy enough to make it difficult to pair with the cheeses or meat. Overall just a great spot, would love to come back sometime and try their pasta.

Great patio - our waiters were all super nice, friendly and attentive. We ordered salty pig (for obvious reasons - if it's named after the restaurant you should probably get it) and it was FANTASTIC, we wished we would've ordered two of those. We also had the cucumber ceasar salad - the waitress advice that we add prosciutto and it was fantastic! I'm almost certain we could live off of that alone. They also had a fabulous NA rose that I wish I would've gotten the name of, my friends agreed that it tasted like the real deal.

    Pizza - really good!

I really enjoyed the food here! It has a casual but trendy and upbeat vibe. We ordered the hot honey sopresseto pizza, meatballs, linguine with mussels and shrimp, rigatoni with pork bolognese, and bucatini. The pizza was so good! The sauce is the star of the pizza. It has a good balance of tanginess, spiciness and sweetness. The meatballs were phenomenal! It was so good that we placed a 2nd order.

Margherita Pizza with sausage and mushrooms! Yum!

From the moment we walked in the service was amazing. The hostess sat us right away and we were able to order fairly quickly. Our server was kind offered options and was patient with our order, especially since we had children that we were ordering pizza. Although it took a little time for the pizzas to be made, we could clearly see that they were being made by hand and that they were being prepared in a traditional fire. Overall, the pizza was fantastic and especially the pizza that My Daughter ordered, which was the Margherita pizza with the sausage and mushrooms. Sausage is made in house and with the mushroom combined just created a delicious pizza. Even hours later having a cold slice felt like heaven.:)

My family and I came here for lunch. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. The restaurant was bright and clean. Our server Cedric was amazing. He was attentive and knowledgable. We ordered the Margherita and salsiccia pizza and they were both very tasty. We liked the salsiccia pizza so much, we ordered another one! Highly recommend this restaurant. Food was fresh, hot and delicious.

Amazing food and fun location! The price is amazing for what you get. The drinks are also fun and delicious. Really loved the prosciutto. And the pizza is top 3 in Boston for me (and I've tried a lot!). Only downside is it can get really busy, so make a reservation for weekends. The hostess was a little rude to us, but it was busy so I understand.

Don't skip the build your own charcuterie boards! Great assortment of meats, cheeses (loved the goat cheese option), and mix of accompaniments (pickles, mustard, almonds!). You can really make the board your own. Pizza was also awesome. Service was attentive and super friendly. Staff were quick to get refills, things when we needed it, answered questions about menu, etc. Restaurant has an outdoor patio and indoor seating. We sat inside which had a lively vibe. The kitchen is open so you can see the chefs in action making your pizza, which is fun! Highly would recommend if you are looking for good Italian food in the area.

I've been to salty pig a couple of times and it's always a solid spot. The charcuterie was my favorite part of the menu and it's nice that they give you unlimited fresh grilled bread. The salad and pizza were both good but didn't blow me away. It's definitely worth coming here and trying it for yourself though!

Came for their pizza, but left more impressed with their chicken piccata. Don't get me wrong, the pizza was still good, but just felt like something was missing. It tasted pretty bland and thank goodness for chili pepper flakes, because that saved the day. Chicken piccata on the other hand, was delicious. The chicken was so juicy and not tough at all! I didn't really enjoy the arugula salad that came with it though. It was too sour for me but my husband really enjoyed it. Service was so so. I liked how they leave a whole bottle of water at your table so you can just refill yourself.

Really good experience at the Salty Pig. Good service? Check. Good atmosphere? Check. Good food? Check. We had never been before but got recommended here by a friend. We made a reservation beforehand and we are glad we did -- it's pretty packed on Friday nights. We ordered the peach and tomato salad and absolutely loved it. The drinks were pretty standard, nothing to write home about but we weren't disappointed. We ordered one pizza and it was affordable and good for two people. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend. All around good experience.

Super convenient location right across from the Amtrak stop in BBY, with options for pizza, pasta, and meat/cheese boards. Great if you love pork, though, unexpectedly, they also have abundant veggie options under the Starters, including an amazing gem lettuce salad with fennel, parmesan, and bread crumbs, as well as a beet, chive, pistachio, and arugula combo. If none of those is calling your name, the appetizers include a burrata, a Caesar grilled romaine, as well as roasted root veggies. Super refreshing, especially when it's a gazillion degrees outside. Also liked the bucatini and how thoroughly coated in the sauce it was, thought the pasta was a little more al dente and saltier than I liked. The salsiccia pizza was, for me, the weakest of the dishes we ordered - nothing offensive or mind-blowing, but the meatiness ended up being one-note after a few bites (and I would've wanted more of the spicy cherry peppers!). The crust of the pizza comes lightly dusted in semolina flour. If you nab a seat indoors by the bar area, you can watch the pizza-makers doing their thing. For two starters, one pasta, and one pizza, for 3 people, the total came out to about $78 before tip. Not bad, especially given this stretch of the Back Bay neighborhood, where the options mostly consist of either fast casual or high-end places. The food came out quickly, so also a great place to grab a bite before your train.

TLDR: PHENOMENAL. The GOAT cocktail was SUPERB. Clarified goat cheese gin?! Who knew that blood orange with goat cheese gin was a match made in heaven?! Clearly our server did. She came up with this awesomely refreshing cocktail! Legendary. The charcuterie items were both really tasty, and I would've been perfectly happy just eating the Pork Pate. In fact, it was really hard not to fill up on the charcuterie while we waited for our Salty Pig pizza--which, btw, was SOOO GOOD. We got an egg on ours and it made the already tasty pizza even better! The combination of sweet and savory is just...addicting! I couldn't get enough of it. Definitely will be back here the next time I'm in town!

Made a reservation for dinner at 7pm and they were so kind to call and check if we needed high chairs bc they had another party that would need our table. Food was great we ordered all the meats from the charcuterie menu, some cheese, the half chicken, burata, Cesar salad, spaghetti, meatballs, and 2 pizza I think my favorite was the salad and the sausage pizza the egg on the salty pig pizza was too much for me but that's just not my style of pizza. The rest of the people in my group loved it. The kids enjoyed their spaghetti. Our favorite round out on the charcuterie board was the smoked shallot marmalade. Would definitely come back. The staff and food was great.

We had the meat lover's pie and oh my. Wgat a delicious fusion animals, cheese, tomatoes and crust. The taste took me back to a pizza I had many years ago at a place in Cambridge--in a great way! They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow.
