Loved this excellent little accidental Yelp Top 100 2025 find!! Sometimes the world gives you things you need, right when you need them, and this was one of those times. We stayed right across the street one night. We had no idea that this place was right here all proud and fancy! We needed something to eat quickly before a QOTSA show. Quick search yields this place sitting right there waiting on us!! Right there!! Across the damn street! We ain't even got to get in the Land Rover or anything. I'll say it again.... It was RIGHT THERE! We walk across the street and have a darned good old time! It's a bit sectioned off inside but we found a table right by the front window and did some people watching while we dined. I had a good IPA and C had a cider donut drink... WTH? I had a very large dose of Rick Simpson Oil before we left, so any minute now... We shared a pizza. My bride graciously allows me to have the meat lovers version even though I am sure she wanted something different. Stupid good pizza!! We ate the whole damn thing! Crust was some of the best I have had. Sauce, cheese, and toppings are high quality man. It was a damned good pizza to say the very least. RSO coming in now... Now by this time I'm plenty high You know when your mouth a-getting dry, you're plenty high... At this particular time, I was pretty high. The rest of the evening is a bit foggy! Tehehe I can't say if I'll be back. If I am near, you better believe I'll get my ass right back in here. Stupid good Boston pizza!! '26 - 30

You walk down and order your pizza, take a seat and it's brought right to you. The manager was really friendly and the pizza was exactly what I wanted. Thin crust pepperoni hit the spot for me on a Sunday evening.

I'm always looking for a good slice... and I'm usually disappointed when it comes to Boston pizza. I'd say the pizza here is solid, but nothing amazing. Would I bother going to this spot in NYC? No way. But would I consider it in Boston? Probably. Location wise, this place can't be beat. It's a bit on the smaller side, but they actually had a few tables so you can enjoy your pizza there. Your slices should be ready to go pretty quickly. I'd be open to coming back.

Inside was filled when we arrived so had to get takeout. The atmosphere was cute and cozy though. Yummy pizza, and came out fast. Your standard pizza by the slice joint, would return.

This is the great shop with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a clean restroom. Service was friendly and quick. They off pizza by the slice as well as individual and large pies. The pizza by the slice is not customizable. The crust is thin and crispy. The buffalo chicken pizza was a tad underwhelming, I wish it had more of a kick. The neighborhood veggie was spectacular, no notes.

I give this place a gold star. I was blown away with the pizza slices. They looked fresh and hot so I had to dig right in. It was so delicious that after eating it I had to speak to the owner (1 of 2). I believe it's her and her husband that run the place. I asked her if David Portney visited and she said yes but it was at their old location and they were still perfecting their pizza. @DavidPortney come here again. An updated review is pending. Spoiler Alert: if you're on Newbury St as a pizza company, you have to be pretty good at what you do. I had a slice of cheese and a buffalo chicken slice which were delicious. The ranch sauce was really creamy, usually I go for a whiter sauce but that's fine. The chicken is great - not dried out, not any uneveness. And now for the show stealer: THE CHEESE SLICE! Never in all the years of my pizza eating would I give a standing ovation for a slice of cheese. But WOW. You take a bite and you're in pizza heaven. But in reality, it makes sense: fantastic crust, delicious sauce, fresh and delectable cheese. Without the perfect base, pizza joints just mask the quality. I can't tell which picture would do more justice so one's zoomed up close and the other is zoomed away. Now ..... for the final reveal. I Filipe, solemenly swear, this has been the best pizza place I've eaten from. And I've probably tried 300-400 spots in my life. New York Pizza: much too wide/big and greasy Chicago Pizza: c'mon that ain't pizza Sicilian: Tasty, but I want it thin and luscious Bar pizza (my fav - South Shore, represent!): while delicious and perfect biteability, can get a bit greasy, and stodgy at times. Italian pizza: too much crust and bubbling Union Park Pizza, CONGRATULATIONS!!! You win the crown of pizza places. The most I can give is a 5-star review but hope it brings more business and another David Portney review. P.S. If you can carry garlic salt as a add-on seasoning, I'd be most grateful

Great pizza. I stopped by for a quick lunch before heading to the airport. I ordered a Cheese and a neighborhood veggie. The cheese was $4 and the veggie was $5 (per slice). They were great slices. Honestly, I liked the cheese the best, but the veggie was good too. They do everything really well, especially the crust. I thought their sauce and cheese were great as well. The veggie just had a little too much going on for my taste, but it was still good. Finally, they have a lot of hot sauces and toppings available. Always appreciate that!

the service was great and friendly and the pizza was delicious. They accidentally put pork on our white sauce pizza and they gave us a whole brand new pie to go home to make up for it. i would so come back.

My partner and I had a pretty solid experience at Union Park Pizza this afternoon. We sat in a cute outdoor seating area -- it was great to sit along Newbury St! Our server was pretty quick in talking to us. We ordered drinks (decently prized beers!) and got a large Veggie pizza. The pizza pricing was pretty good and the flavor got the jobs done. It was a little heavy on grease but the crust was delicious. We will stop by again soon!

From LA. Wanted to get some za! Stopped by here. Pizza is delicious. & i love pizza. Last time i had some hitter pizza was october after a concert in LA. Random spot . Fire pizza. This place. Random spot... fire pizza aw well Thank u

We wanted to do a half and half pizza with pepperoni and chicken pesto, but were told you had to do a "build your own" for that. Two small pizzas were not too much higher in cost than a large. Prices are reasonable, we spent less than $50 for two small pizzas and two drinks. The pizzas were very good and the crust was excellent. Service was good. The place is small and I hear the Thacher location is better than the Fanueil Hall location. The menu has quite a few options, including a couple of vegetarian pizzas.

Even though I was born and raised in the Boston area and have resided here for the entirety of my three decade long life, I've never had the original Santarpio's pizza until just now. I remember eating at their second location on Route 1 not long after it opened, but I thought it was just okay. Ever since then I've always thought to myself, "the original has gotta be better, right?" Well, my boyfriend and I finally made our way to the original Santarpio's on a Saturday a little after noon. The place isn't much to look at but was hopping for the weekend lunch rush with almost every table full, and we got put in what appeared to be one of the last available tables in the place. Our order was taken very quickly after sitting down. The menu is strictly pizza with around a dozen toppings to choose from and a handful of grilled meats. That's it. We ordered a pizza with garlic and hot peppers as well as a steak tip skewer. The steak tips were juicy and cooked nicely, but they tasted like they lacked seasoning or marinade so I had to sprinkle some salt and pepper on them. Of course, the pizza is what we were really there for and I can tell you that it checks all the boxes for a classic pizza. The crust is on the thinner, crispier side which I actually prefer. The pie as a whole had a great color and good flavor between the cheese, sauce and toppings. After experiencing it for myself, it's pretty easy to understand why Santarpio's is so highly regarded in the world of pizza. They stick to what they know and they execute it well.

They only sell whole pies, which at first seemed annoying (the first time I tried coming here a few years ago I was by myself and couldn't eat a whole pizza alone) so I had to make this my inaugural tasting). But I see that as ensuring you are only eating a fresh product, where all the ingredients cook into each other and come out hot and ready, instead or something reheated from four hours ago because the day was slow. The menu is simple: pizzas and meat skewers. They know what they do well and lean into it hard.
