The pizza is hot, crispy, and flavorful- a perfect, easy to eat meal that does a good job of warming you up during cold weather too. I tried the bbq chicken and the green monster. Both were good, but I would recommend the bbq chicken over the green monster due to how yummy the bbq sauce tastes. I love how the pizza dough is perfectly crispy and the crust is crunchy without there being too much crust. Inside has some seating available, including two small tables in the bay window that overlook the street. Service ranges from meh to super nice. The first time I came here, the employee at the front register was very welcoming and nice. The second time I came here, the front register employees seemed disinterested. It was efficient both times, though.

Stumbled upon this place and it is a cool little spot! Very cozy vibes. Ordered BBQ chix and the Mediterranean pizza. Their bbq chix was full of flavor! Every bite was delicious! The Mediterranean pizza was okay. Was not my favorite. Probably should have ordered something else but the pizza but not bad! I would not order this slice again though. Would definitely order the bbq chix again! People here are friendly and wonderful! Would try this place again and order something else!

Solid pizza place! We got a classic Margherita pizza and were not disappointed. The crust was very crispy - wish it was slightly more airy since it hardened fast, but otherwise it was delicious. Their homemade sauce is fantastic. It's tangy, fresh flavor profile brought the whole pizza together without overwhelming any other elements. Also, the pizza was surprisingly light tasting, so you could eat many slices without getting tired of it. It was also only $13 for a small pizza which is very affordable (esp for being on Newbury St). Came out pretty quick too. For that price & quality, I would definitely recommend giving them a try :)

We got pizza by the slice but they sell whole pizzas, salads, sandwiches and bottled drinks as well as beer and wine. The interior. Is a self service type of establishment. Go up to the counter and order, wait until they call your name. You have the option to eat inside or out. Friendly staff and food is served piping hot. Very reasonable prices.

Dirty Water Dough... I don't why it took me so long to try your pizzas, your dough is AMAZING! Their dough did it for me, to be honest. The secret ingredient that they use for their dough is beer! Specifically, their home brewed dirty water IPA. We decided to get a small sausage pizza, which had onions, cheese, bell peppers, and jalapeños (we added). Took about 10-15 min to be ready. First impression: the cheese pull was very nice ! The pizza tasted very fresh and relatively healthy? Like, it didn't feel heavy which I liked. It was a little bland with the toppings but the extra seasonings we sprinkled on top helped a lot. We put a bunch of garlic powder and pepper flakes on all the slices. The dough was the star of the show for me. Parking/Location: it's situated on Newbury St on the block with Zara, Nike, and some boba tea shops. Parking can be tricky but it's not uncommon to find spots on Newbury St. Can also try Boylston St and the side streets for street parking. There are also lots and garages available.

First time popping in, they definitely had a lot of folks in and out and i can see why! Firstly, I'm told their pizza dough is made with their house brew dirty water IPA! The dough was good to the last bit, cooked to perfection. We got a small sausage pizza which has bell peppers, onions (white), sausage slices, mozzarella, and we added jalapeños! I must say the ingredients are as they come, would be nice for a more flavorful sausage spicy or Italian herb etc. or even sweet sausage. They do however have plenty of shakers -- crushed red peppers, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, oregano etc. I can see why they are busy! Good pizza, quick about 15 min or less to get your pie and the staff is attentive and grabs you plates or boxes by request quickly! Will be back!

Great little pizza spot in Back Bay for a quick bite. I'm a fan of the thin crust and sweeter sauce that they offer on their pizzas. The meat lovers was absolutely packed with high quality meat toppings. The large pizza was more than enough to feed 5 people. I was so stuffed after 2 slices. The Greek salad was decent and a large was also enough for 4-5 people to eat. It's a bit tight inside with only 1 large table and 4-5 smaller tables so not great for groups. Note to get inside, you have to enter in the entrance to the left of the windows through a residential looking brick building.

Dirty Water is one of those places you stumble into once and then keep coming back because it's just that good. It's casual, quick, and absolutely hits the spot every single time. Whether you're starving after a long walk down Newbury Street or just want something fast and flavorful, this is the go to. The pizza always comes out hot and fast. One thing I love is how they have a full lineup of seasonings on every table like garlic powder, crushed red pepper, oregano, parmesan, and more. The staff are super friendly and happy. They're always happy to help or answer questions, and they keep the vibe easygoing and upbeat. That said, it does get busy -- especially the window seats, which fill up fast. The tables can get a little messy, so I recommend giving them a quick wipe before and after. I've been here multiple times and have never left disappointed.

If I could give this 4.5 stars I would. Great location on Newbury, super friendly staff, and delicious pizza. They let you do a large half and half of any two flavors (unheard of these days!). Open late, have alcoholic beverages if desired, and sell some by the slice which is nice option to have! Counter service with some seats having a great view of Newbury, but it did get a little crowded in there sometimes since it's relatively small.

This place has a cute vibe to it and it's great for grabbing a slice of pizza while shopping or walking in Newbury Street. The seating is pretty cute but it's definitely packed so it's not easy to find a spot to sit. But people are quick, so it's not a big problem. They don't have a lot of options but their pizza is pretty good. They sell some by the slice and some only as an entire pizza. We tried the chicken Alfredo, the cheese and the margarita and I'd say the margarita was definitely the best one, despite the minimal basil. The service, however, was not friendly. Overall, If I'm really craving pizza and I just so happen to be on Newbury street, I'd pass by to grab a slice to go.

for a quick slice of pizza while you're walking around newbury it's great. It' always tastes like it's straight from the oven. And it's only 4$ a slice. It is a rotating menu so certain slices are only available on weekends. But you have to try this place

Dirty Water Dough is a low frills place that makes a pretty darn good slice! The pizza comes out. pretty quick and the temp is just right! It's a thin crust pizza that holds up pretty good to the flop test and has a decent undercarriage, and the crust has a nice crunch. If i lived in Boston i'd probably make this spot a regular on my list. If you are on Newberry street in Back Bay give this place a shot!

This was my second time visiting Dirty Water Dough, both times taking our pizza to-go which I would recommend. The interior is pretty chaotic and isn't the best dine-in experience, but being the location that it is, it makes it a very convenient takeout spot for a lot of people. My friend and I each ordered a small pie (which were about $15 each). Considering I got two decently sized meals out of this I would say it was worth it! We made the mistake of ordering in-person which took a decent amount of time and there wasn't anywhere comfortable to wait. But still, after getting our pizza, we head outside to enjoy it somewhere more scenic. I tried the Hawaiian pie which I really liked. The crust is very crispy here... definitely not NY-style, but it's still flavorful. None of the flavors overpowered each other, which I appreciated as well. Although this wouldn't be my first pick for pizza in the Boston area, Dirty Water Dough is pretty solid and wins on the convenience scale for me.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The linguine was on the smaller side portion-wise, but it came loaded with mussels and shrimp. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had a nice tangy, flavorful profile that really stood out. The Salsiccia pizza was good--plenty of toppings for its size and a well-balanced amount of cheese and sauce. What kept it from being great, if I'm being a bit hyper critical, was the crust. It leaned too doughy and lacked the crispness and airy texture you'd expect; the closest comparison I can think of is something like an Olive Garden breadstick. Service was okay--nothing particularly impressionable--but the ambience made up for it. The space felt warm, trendy, and like the perfect spot for a casual dinner. Overall, a solid spot with well-executed dishes, especially the pasta, and a pizza that's definitely enjoyable with just a small detail holding it back from the next level.
