I ordered take out, not expecting large portions but man was I wrong. I got well over several serving sizes of gnocchi along with bread. It was delicious and the gnocchi is pillowy. I would highly recommend! The worker was very kind and the food was ready quick :)

Fresh simplistic Italian food. The old school Italian guys were awesome to witness. The baked ziti was somehow light and so fresh. My husband's chicken Alfredo was to die for. I think I may have offended the guys that I couldn't eat more of my food. There was just so much to try and I really wasn't even hungry going in but wouldn't pass it up.

Came here on a Saturday evening and it was busy! Luckily we got a table but after we arrived, there were definitely people waiting outside for seating. We sat down and ordered quickly, and the service was FAST and friendly. They recognized our friends as regulars which was nice! Drinks are self serve so you can walk up to the fridges and take what you want - they will add the drinks to the bill at the end. Italian's Italian ($18) - the sandwiches here are HUGE. And there were reviews saying they were skinny but ours was both long and fat. The meats and veggies went perfectly together with oil and just the right amount of fat and heat. I'd absolutely get this sandwich or any of their other sandwiches again - it was so filling and delicious! Capellini Pomodoro ($19.95) - I wasn't as big of a fan of this one - the pasta was pretty normal and the sauce did have some nice herbs in it, but it felt a bit one dimensional to me. It's probably a lot better with a meatball or another topping, but $19.95 for pasta and red sauce was already a pretty steep price. I'd recommend getting another sandwich if you're a two person party because those are really worth it. There's also no bathroom in the restaurant, but the sandwiches are such a great deal I'd absolutely recommend coming here or getting a sandwich to go!

Steak Bellino with Cheese Hot Sandwich

Wow at the size of these sandwiches! We believe they're known for the Steak Bellino so had to try that. Perfectly cooked with perfectly melted cheese. The chicken pesto also had perfectly melted cheese and lots of pesto. Incredibly long grinders, not the widest but still solid bang for your buck! Maybe 12-15 or so seats to sit inside but we mostly do takeout here. A classic North End that I hope never goes out of business!

Meatball sub (Caesar salad and garlic bread in the back)

Meatball subs were delicious! I ate half for a meal and saved the other. I like that they use the smaller meatballs instead of the giant ones because each bite's sauce/meat/bread ratio was perfect. The garlic bread was decent and the caesar salad was pretty basic (just lettuce and like five croutons).

If you're feeling overwhelmed by the lines and crowds in Boston's north end, Dino's can come in clutch as a more relaxed (but just as satisfying) option. The staff are friendly and quick. Walking in we were welcomed to choose any open table, handed menus, and told to head up to the counter whenever we were ready to order. This was great! No waiting on a server, just order at your own pace. I walked up and ordered myself the Fettuccini and Sausage special, a cafe salad with added grilled chicken to share, and an Eggplant Parm over ziti for my girlfriend. Ordered our drinks which I got immediately, and sat back down. Food came out in about ten or fifteen minutes and everything tasted great. The salad was exactly what we were looking for, with thick round cuts of mozzarella over well oiled and seasoned lettuce. The added chicken for $2 was delicious, grilled to perfection. I hadn't had a cream sauce pasta in a long time and this was damn near perfect - delicious sausage, mushrooms, and peppers tucked into perfectly chewable pasta. Overall this place is fantastic. You're right in the thick of the North End chaos, watching the Bova's line across the street grow longer and longer as you enjoy your meal. The prices are some of the best you will find in the city, let alone this busy neighborhood.

Late post - visited in October 2024. Located in Little Italy. You can smell the food as soon as you walk up to the corner. We came during lunch hours. It was busy, but we were able to find a table. My husband and I shared one sandwich. It was enough to fill us up. We ordered the chicken cutlet parm sandwich. Wow!!! It a burst of flavors. The chicken was moist and cooked to perfection. My only regret was not ordering another sandwich to take home for dinner. We were in the New England area for 5 days and I could NOT stop thinking about this place.

We were in Boston for a few hours and our tour guide suggested we go to the North End. We walked the entire block & Dino's immediately stood out to us at the corner. My family and I shared an eggplant parm wedge & a chicken cutlet parm wedge. The owner was so welcoming & friendly. He cut the wedges for us to make it easy to share. What a nice establishment he has inside! Beautifully handwritten menu on the wall. He is eager to please! He does an incredible job and you should definitely pay him a visit.

    Chicken Cacciatore

This is a small corner Place, no restrooms and only 6 tables. The tomato sauce in my chicken cacciatore was delicious, just like Nonna makes However the pasta was al dente and it was served on a flat plate instead of a bowl, therefore there was little of the delicious juices. Chicken needed to be bite size. .Too many mushrooms, pepper slices too big. Not a good wine selection basically $9.00 for a small glass of Chanti. Didn't get a check " just bring up your credit card" . Service is by a cashier. Ambiance is lacking. Food is good but there are plenty of better restaurants in the North End. Disappointed . No tap water available have to buy bottled Poland Springs or soda. No coffee. ,

While the bread initially felt like that tourist vibe (cold, served with... little cups of oil... weird), the main dishes were outstanding. We enjoyed the caprese, the lobster ravioli, and the clam linguini -- all really good. If you're looking for dessert, while my boyfriend would've preferred a sweeter cannoli, I was a big fan of the tiramisu, both for its size and taste. I would recommend getting a reservation, as the spot is cozy and can get a little cramped. We did see people leave after being late to their reservation. Lastly the service was very attentive. Our initial server may have been new. She didn't chat much, but she checked on us often. The second server was super chatty and really listened to what we wanted.

It kind of felt rushed but it's doable. Myself, when I am out spending a good amount of money, the rushed feeling is the one I don't want to have. But our server was awesome. Knew the menu and wine list well. Did his best to not make us feel rushed. So apps were Bruschetta, antipasto, clams. All were awesome and very well proportioned! Entries were amazing and again well proportioned. Their homemade pasta was yummy!!! And Finally I got my Tiramisu!!' Inside joke with my friends. All in all this was a great dinner, two thumbs up and definitely on my list to visit again!

The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was one of the best things I have eaten in Boston -- rich, perfectly balanced, plated with genuine care. The mushroom ravioli special was extraordinary. They have a great outdoor seating area right on Newbury Street that is perfect for people-watching. Inside, the space is divided into these unique, eclectic nooks. Whether you want to feel right at home or celebrate in their stunning vine-draped dining room (the ceiling is amazing!), the vibe is spot-on. I stopped in on a Wednesday, so it wasn't too busy, and I sat right at the bar. The bartender was fantastic--super attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. I ordered a wine flight, and they gave me these adorable little informational cards detailing the region and tasting notes for every unique bottle I tried. It was such a cute, elevated touch that made the experience feel special! The food came out in a very timely fashion, but unfortunately, it was the weak point of the visit. I started with the bruschetta, hoping for the best, but it was incredibly under-seasoned. The cherry tomatoes were left whole, which meant I was chewing on tomato skins for far too long, and the juices immediately made the middle of the toast completely soggy. Next came the pasta. I truly appreciated that the kitchen can customize anything you want even vegan style. On the plus side, the food arrives piping hot, and the portion size was wonderful! However, just like the appetizer, it was seriously lacking flavor. I had to add as much salt and pepper as I possibly could just to make it worth my while. Ultimately, the overall experience was the best part of the deal--from the gorgeous views to the wonderful wine flight and the stellar service. But as for the meal itself... in the historic Boston Italian vs. Irish rivalry, I think the Irish might have won this round! #Enjoygoodpeople

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. The miso gelato is one of the most delicious savory/sweet desserts, and has lots of nice crunchy accents of the sesame crumble. Cocktails are fabulous, very smooth, as well as the mocktails. Cons: The crostini was nothing really special, and one of them came without the oyster butter. The meatballs, which were tasty but had a slightly hard texture on the outside. The prawn risotto was pretty one-note in flavor, and the prawn heads tasted overcooked and slightly off. The radiatore was spicy and nicely plated. Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out. The Salsiccia pizza was good--plenty of toppings for its size and a well-balanced amount of cheese and sauce. What kept it from being great, if I'm being a bit hyper critical, was the crust. It leaned too doughy and lacked the crispness and airy texture you'd expect; the closest comparison I can think of is something like an Olive Garden breadstick. Service was okay--nothing particularly impressionable--but the ambience made up for it. The space felt warm, trendy, and like the perfect spot for a casual dinner.
