On a super hot Boston day we happened upon a man walking out of this restaurant with a GIANT pizza down the street. Upon seeing that we headed in! It was the kind of pizza with an amazing crust, fresh toppings and it said chewy, cheesey, and saucey goodness. The air conditioning was wonderful since it was 99 outside and our water glasses were never empty. We ordered a meat and cheese platter for an appetizer that was perfect. Then enjoyed the spaghetti and meatball, a special pizza (with a fresh truffle sliced at the table) and the shrimp limoncello. The food was great wonderful flavors and really well done. Visited Quattro during Dine Out Boston Restaurant week and we were disappointed. It's a small restaurant on one of the corners of Hanover. I love a dim lit restaurant; however, a candle on our table or a small table light would be appreciated (we had to take one from another table). In addition, the music was really loud we found ourselves having to speak loudly to hear one another and we could clearly hear the conversations of the tables around us. As for the food, we didn't have many positive things to say. The highlight of the meal was the pesto dipping sauce that came with the bread and the fries that came with the steak. The bread tasted and felt stale, not off to a great start. Additionally, the meatballs came out room temperature, they didn't really have any flavor, and they tasted freezer burnt. My significant other really enjoyed the cacio e pepe sauce that came with the arancini but I wasn't a fan. The arancini itself was really good. As for our entrees neither of us were a fan of our dishes. I only ate a couple of bites of my pasta and my boyfriend said the steak wasn't great. We didn't have high hopes for dessert but my significant other enjoyed the tiramisu, but the cannolis just weren't good. Overall, the service was okay and the food not so great. Not sure if it's because we ordered off the dine out menu, but we probably won't return. You could get better italian food somewhere else in the North End. read more

Place was packed when I went. I had a reservation and still had to wait like 15 min to get in and had to sit in the bar. The bar girl was really nice. Food came out insanely fast, so that's a plus. It felt fresh and tasty, but for the guanciale I would have preferred it to be more thin/chopped (maybe I'm the one wrong). We went on a very busy Monday, the place was absolutely packed around 1pm so we ate at the bar. Service was hit or miss. Pesto with bread was a nice touch. They do not serve coffee, only espresso. We both ordered pasta and thought they were just OK but nothing special and the lunchtime pricing was more like dinner pricing. In retrospect this place is really known for pizza and if we went back, we would definitely try that instead. read more

Love the flavor Lobster Ravioli - it doesn't look appetizing and the ravioli looks flat. But it has rich lobster flavor. The ravioli is stuffed with lobster meat. And the sauce is cooked with lobster. It's one of the best tasting lobster ravioli I tried. Figs, Arugula & Goat Cheese pizza - I like it. This was one of my favorite lunch stops during my trip to Boston. The bar was welcoming and warm, thanks to the brick pizza oven. It was neat being able to watch the pizzas being prepped & cooked and the chickens spinning on the rotisserie behind the bar. The server behind the bar was very friendly, and of course, the pizza was amazing! I think I spent at least 2 hours here savoring every bite while trying different Italian wines. While in the North End for dinner, we actually were planning on checking out another restaurant, but were turned away because they closed their kitchen an hour early. We found Quattro down the street and they happily seated us even though they were closing in an hour. I loved the dark ambiance of Quattro with it's open windows and spooky vibes. We ordered the Soppressata Pizza, Meatball Madness and Cacio e Pepe to share. They even gave us complimentary warm bread with pesto on the side. We really enjoyed everything, but I wasn't too impressed with the Cacio e Pepe - I was hoping for a more pepper flavor. The pizza was good, we really liked the crust and we also really liked the flavor of the meatballs. Quattro offers lots of seating inside and I believe they even had a bar area. My friends and I were happy to be seated right away despite coming in on a Saturday evening with no reservation! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and recommended a killer pizza. I had their popular chicken parm, which was huge. I had enough food for next day's lunch! The pasta was ok, nothing to write home about. Unfortunately the carbonara was on the salty end but our waitress quickly resolved the issue by replacing it with a new dish. What really blew us away was the pizza. Was in town on August 21, 2025 and was told to try Quattro. So glad I did. This place was hoppin!! Very busy place, very tight space with limited seating so make reservations. SERVICE: Super nice at the front. We did not have a reservation, but they saw we had the "we need pizza" look on our face so they quickly found us a spot at the bar. Raffaele, the pizza chef, was there and was super friendly and helpful. FOOD: We only tried one pizza (I think it was the Napoletana) did not have cheese, but the dough and sauce was outstanding. Great little Italian place, very busy though so I'd recommend a reservation. They won't seat you unless your party is present, so make sure to be on time. I really enjoyed the pizzas, they were thin, crispy, and had nice chewy crusts. The presentation was good, and they can bring you honey and red pepper flakes if you'd like. My family and I just visited this restaurant this past week and though the service was ok the food was absolutely HORRIBLE. The pizza, though tasty, was soggy and limp. The lobster ravioli was DISGUSTING!! The sauce was absolutely bitter and acidic. The calamari was good but for some reason there was a single fried shrimp thrown in there (I'm guessing accidentally) along with a few strings of fried onions on the bottom. Our waiter was very nice, I'll say that but the restaurant itself is extremely cramped. I honestly don't think I would recommend. read more

The crust was just what you dream of in an Italian experience and everything was so fresh. My favorite of the two was the broccoli rabe but the Marguerita was close behind. We tried this restaurant during our visit to the North End. Overall, it was good and decent for the price. We started with the baby octopus -- the flavor was great! However, I expected tentacles rather than several small whole ones. That was my mistake, but if you're a fan of baby octopus, you'll probably enjoy it! The chicken parm was probably the best thing we ordered of the night -- classic, flavorful, and well done. Apps and pasta choices overall felt a bit average, and the service was great. Our server, Jhonathan, was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful with the menu -- big kudos to him! The ambiance is intimate and cozy, typical of North End spots, and perfect if you're looking for a quieter, smaller place to dine. We had reservations for 4 on a very busy holiday so we ended up having to wait about 10-15 minutes even though we were on time, so definitely recommend them if possible for especially large groups. Seats are tight as with most places in the North End. Everyone was in love with the flavor and authenticity of each of our dishes. The Lasagna della Casa was meaty and hearty. Spaghettini with Meatballs was juicy and simple. The Frutti da mare had a fair amount of calamari, and clams but a prominent seafood taste. My Baked Eggplant Parmigiana had beautiful layers and a taste that matched. Overall, we had a great experience including the food as well as the service. Our waiter was efficient and patient. Just had the worst experience I've encountered in the North End in the past 40 years. This place is an absolute tourist trap. We sat and were greeted immediately for drinks. They came quickly and then we ordered a Caesar salad for an app and two pizzas for our meal. We no sooner got the salad put in front of us and the pizzas arrived. I was pissed and hate being rushed, it ruined our dinner. But then I had only eaten one slice and the waiter asked if we wanted boxes. I was like, are you fucking serious? At that point I had enough and told him to wrap it up. We both had full drinks and the waiter came back and set our bill on the table. How about "would you like coffee, dessert, can I get you anything else?" My wife and I could not get out of there quick enough. Use to be one of my favorite restaurants in the North End. But not anymore. Would always order a margarita and a cosmo. Bartender didn't chill the cosmo glass and the drinks tasted totally different. You could tell the alcohol was cheapened. The presentation of food also wasn't the same. The bartender ended up telling us they were under new management.
