I was craving a pizza after a late night enjoying the city. I had a discount promo for Uber Eats and decided to use it here. They had several options on their online menu. I decided to go with the Wicked Pesto Pizza. It came with the signature crust, pesto base, grilled chicken, blue cheese, asiago, and fresh garlic. The driver dropped it off in front of the building and I picked it up. After first trying it, I was not impressed. It was very hard and dry. I had to reheat it in the microwave for it to be edible. I was expecting a delicious pizza packed with flavor. Instead I got something that I had to force myself to eat. I know Boston is not known for their pizza but I was expecting something halfway decent. If it was not for the Uber Eats discount I would have been upset with spending the cash. Next time I will try to check out some other spots for a slice of pizza. read more

For Boston pizza, this place was very solid! I'm always looking for options for a good slice and I would put Upper Crust in my rotation. However, if you're looking for the best option in the Beacon Hill area, go to Florina instead. My friend and I ended up camping out at the counter area for a bit, but they had regular tables as well. Stopped by on our trek of the Freedom Trail hungry after hours of walking. We wanted something quick before we headed for the pastry shoppes and this placed smelled amazing from a block away. Service was quick for a single slice and the pizza itself was good but not great. The pizza did have a bit of a weird aftertaste after eating it about half way. Especially when it's two whole pizza lol this would have been a 5 Star review because the crush red peppers is crucial on a very very good pizza... FOOD : The figs, goat cheese, and prosciutto pizza is a must get. The sweet onions on it makes it so good. Highly recommend it! All very fair answers. But, to me, you can find pretty much the same in all three of those categories almost anywhere. Truly great pizza uses the same basic recipes for those elements. But, the sauce... this is where a pizzeria has a chance to shine. Almost all sauces (at least from the good spots) are homemade, and this is where the chef can really make an impact. My readers... this sauce... it was indescribably good. Mock all you want, but to me, a well-made pizza sauce can truly make all the difference in the world. They had a few different topping pizzas, got pepperoni, and one that was filled with tasty basil on top of it. The slice was nice and thin and extra crispy! The slice itself was large and very filling! The inside of this place is small so there are a few small tables inside but they also had an outdoor area on the street. Honestly my favorite pizza in Boston, coming from a NYer! The staff are great, the shop is always bustling so you know it's good stuff! Favorite pizza is the vegetarian GOAT or the margarita, I love their calzones, their chicken tenders, fries, cheesy bread, pasta, and I've even had their vegan pizza and it's really great! You can build your own pizza and sub in vegan cheese which has always been a great option when I have friends over who are vegan. Ordered delivery and it took 1 1/2 hours to be delivered. Pizza came cold. They have a very low bar for delivery times since their boxes have instructions on how to reheat the pizza printed on them. After 1 1/2 hours, I received a call from a random number and the lady said some gibberish and hung up. A few minutes later, I was texted a photo of a pizza box that was on a random table. I assumed it was somewhere in the hotel I was staying at. I went on a wild goose chase and finally found it. Just an absolute joke of a delivery service. I was standing outside for 35 minutes and they decided to walk in and place the pizza on a random table. The pizza was okay after heating it up for ten minutes with a blow-dryer. read more

Upper Crust has delicious thin 18" pizzas that you enjoy from tip to crust. The crust itself is so crispy and good that you can't throw away the bone as you do with most pizzas!
