Finally trying the Honey Butter Fried Chicken sandwich! The bun was fresh tasting a nice toast to it, that honey butter sauce it was so delicious (OMG!) the chicken was juicy inside and a excellent crunch on the skin (only disappointment was I asked for pickles and they didn't give it to me as requested :( Also I ordered the garlic parmesan wings! The great pizza is hampered by incompetent business administration and operations. Ordered a pizza at noon and was told it would arrive by 12:50 PM. 1:15 PM and the pizza still hasn't arrived so I call them asking them where my pizza is and they say they don't know where my driver is???? They tell me that they'll refund me and send me another pizza to make up for it and I finally get my pizza at 2:10 PM (2 hours after I first ordered it). I check in on the refund the next day and don't see it on my credit card statement. Odd, I'll give them a call again. I'm told that it takes 4-5 business days to process. I wait an additional week and it's still not showing up on my credit card so I call them one last time. The manager tells me he doesn't know what happened to the original refund request and he'll submit another refund request. I understand service failures happen from time to time...it's a bad sign when you fail again during the service recovery part. read more

Rude and disrespectful!! The staff even when we walked in, they were not professional at all, they were joking and saying f words between themselves, which looks very poor on work ethic. Typically, I would give a request a five star rating. Beyond the yummy pizza, every employee is always gracious. Respectful. Polite. But there is one person that now works there... a gal ... saying she has a chip on her shoulder does not do her justice. She is horrendous, an absolutely miserable human being. I used to come here every day. But now I come here very infrequently because she is so rude. It's a buzz kill. I prefer to go elsewhere. Another layer ... I am on the petite side. She continuously puts the pizza slice so high it's hard to reach. When trying to get it once it actually fell on the floor. She knew that. All other employees are happy to hand it to me, I don't even have to ask. Today I asked her if she could hand it to me, she completely ignored the ask, and still put the pizza too high. I didn't have the ability to get to the right shop so I called to explain and asked nicely for them to cancel the order (which I assume had already been made). I can't say enough good things about Upper Crust! We stopped by on a cold winter day just hoping for some warm pizza and my expectations were exceeded with everything. I grew up in Boston and remember as a child thinking the pizza was good, but not great. Something must have changed because everything was GREAT. The dough was cooked perfectly, the sauce had a nice bite to it, and all of the toppings tasted fresh. The Beacon Hill location also offered Stubborn Soda on tap as well as some of the best and friendliest workers I've come across. Prices are absolutely reasonable especially for the quality and also the size of the pizza. 3 of us split a large and got completely full (we got 2 pizzas and had leftovers for days). First off, the pizza at the UC in Coolidge Corner in Brookline is very good...I'm originally from NY, so I'm a pizza snob...and next to Regina, this is one of the best in the Boston area. Also, the staff is very nice and the ambiance is fine, but the cost of their pizza's is getting completely out of control. I gave a relative my debit card to order a Supreme pizza while I parked. We chowed and then went to a movie at CC. When I got home I checked my bank account and to my horror the charge was $38!...for one pizza!...That is the most I have ever paid for a pizza in my life...not even Regina has anything close, their most expensive pie is $26...Man, $38 is more of a rip-off than one of those joke pizza's at 6 Flags or Fenway! At first, I thought it was a mistake, so I checked UC's online menu and it was in fact $30, so I guess the other $8 was tax/tip?...that's some tip! For $38 that pizza should have had gold-plated crust and come with free movie tickets!...C'Mon Man!!...the profit margin on that badboy must be at 600%...no way it costs more than $5 to make that thing...just sheer unadulterated gougery...really sad. We are pizza snobs and love all things pizza. Every town we go to we try to hit up a few different spots especially in New York and Boston. This is by far my favorite between 30 or so places we have tried in the last 4-5 years. It's thin, crunchy and flavorful. Every time we go thru Boston this place receives a visit. read more

Was walking around to kill some time before heading to the airport. Dang this is a great place to grab a quick slice. $5 for a slice if pepperoni... can't beat that anymore! Decided to try Upper Crust due to the variety of menu options and the dietary requirements of our 8 person group. We had gluten free pizza , regular sausage and pepperoni, vegan pizza and salads. The food was very good. And there were no gluten reactions following the meal. Giving four stars because the hostess who took our order was extremely rude to us and to the cooks. She yelled at us because she mis ordered items we requested on our pizza (she included toppings we were allergic to) and then she belittled the cooks loudly in front of customers.
