WOW they call that one slice??? It really is two slices and when it was served I thought I would never finish it but it was so good I at the entire thing! It is a tourist hot spot, and was super crowded but people sat with strangers and everyone was having a great time talking, laughing and eating! Unfortunately didn't take any pictures of the pizza, which I dont need to. This place was amazing. Ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and a Hawaiian one. They were amazing and HUUUGE!!! The service was friendly and quick. The place is a tiny hole in the wall reminiscent of an old school stop and go pizza place. Had a few sitting places but took it to go. The large displace case with all the pies had me ordering with my eyes as it all looked good. Prices were reasonable. For an inflationary economy, $6 is not a bad deal at all and I believe it was just recently raised from $4 from the posted Yelp menu pics. They also offer beer and wine for great prices. Pretty solid place for pizza. I have no idea what I got. I asked for two of their most popular and I don't remember what they gave us but one was pepperoni and one was alfredo based. Was looking for pizza and this spot drew us in with the smell coming from their open windows. In the 20min we were there it went from quiet to packed and bustling. It's a great place to grab a quick bite. There are a few tables inside but would be hard for a group larger than 4 to sit down. Overall solid pizza and can't beat the price. read more

Great little shop I found killing time in Boston. And a pizza shop that actually has Pepsi products too. Sells 'the biggest slices' in the city. And it was legit the size of 2 slices, but I don't know if I'd call it the biggest. Reasonable prices, but a cramped inside. For the food and service alone, it's a home run, but its very cramped inside and I wouldn't go back unless it was less busy. read more

Ernesto's is one of the BEST. I had to remind myself when I stopped by while waiting to meet a friend before a Celtics game. I was lucky enough to time it perfectly before a line formed from either the work crowd, tourist crowd or pre-game Celtic crowd. I had one slice (which a 1/4 of a large pizza) and a drink. They always heat it and serve the pizza at a perfect temperture. I was able to sit down since it was quiet and I enjoyed both my pizza and the ambiance of Boston's North End and the hustle and bustle of the area. The price was fair I would not expect to be able to park when visiting as the area is tight. Been coming to Ernesto's for 10 years now the staff are always extremely friendly and chatty but the pizza is the star of the show. I have traveled quite a bit in the past 3 years and I make it a point to hit famous pizza spots and Ernesto's can compete with world famous heavy hitters such as Lindustre and Williamsburg in Brooklyn. My friend and I came here desperate for some pizza way too late in the night and found Ernesto's what a god send. First off one slice is easily two big single slices we asked them to cut it in half I'm not sure what I paid because I might've been bar hopping. The service was so fast I was first worried about the lines but they get thru customers so fast. The outside of the restaurant says that one slice is 1/4 of a pizza and it sure was! For the amount of pizza you get, I'd say that the pricing is pretty fair at about $5-$6 per slice. I ordered the hawaiian pizza, which was unique because it didn't have any sauce! I didn't realize this before I ordered it, and I probably would have gotten a different kind because I really do like the sauce. But it was still good (because pineapple on pizza is good). The service was pretty quick - nothing too crazy, maybe took 5 minutes for 6 slices to be prepared for my family The restaurant is cozy and clean. Really nice people, fast and friendly service and a very Boston pizza joint (ment in all the good ways). While I like the sizes of the slices (you get two slices in one). We were walking around the North End and were looking for a slice of pizza. This place looked good so we stopped in. Super tiny spot with some indoor seating. The line wasn't long, once we got to the counter my husband and I each ordered a slice of pizza. I got the cheese and my husband got the veggie. They are big slices and they actually give you two slices (we didn't know otherwise we would have split). They gave us a box so we saved our two pieces for later. We waited a few minutes for our slices to be heated up and then we took them to go. The pizza was so good! The sauce and flavor was amazing. It's an experience at Ernestos. Don't get me wrong ... they have Great food ... but the staff behind the counter gave me such a shi**y attitude after I didn't tip him $4 (screen suggested tip) for putting a slice of pizza on a plate. Prices are reasonable and they accept card which is a luxury in north end. Place is cute, can tell there's a lot of history behind it. That being said the pizza was just ok. We ordered two slices which was actually four and ended up sharing one of each and it was more than enough food. The buffalo chicken was ok, the chicken didn't feel fresh and the mushroom while generous with the toppings didn't have the best structural integrity and was falling apart. read more

Now let's address the elephant sitting at the table with no water: the service. Everyone complaining? They're not wrong. It's slow. Like... "you start reconsidering your life choices while waiting for a bottle of water so you can serve yourself" slow. And yes, management should absolutely just lean into reality and overstaff the place. It would solve everything. BUT and this is important, if you walk in knowing that, you're fine. The staff, when they get to you, are genuinely kind and friendly. It's not bad service, it's just... delayed service. Also, if you've got green hair and are confidently pulling off a look that says "I am both the main character and the plot twist," you will feel right at home here. I don't fully understand it, but I respect the commitment. Just thought people should know going in, just like the delayed service. Bottom line: incredible food, good vibes, patience required. I'll absolutely be back... and I might bring my own water bottle next time just to stay ahead of things.

For food, I got the steak taco and the fish taco and both were delicious.
