Omg. It's both a blessing and a curse that I do not live closer to Sunny Girl b/c I would be here all the time and eat my way through the menu. Tried the OG and the egg yolk alone ...! The homemade English muffin! It sounds very simple in theory, just egg, cheese, and bread, but the combination works so well. It's a relatively small sandwich, yet it more than filled me up. (Also, better chow down when it's still steaming hot because it didn't taste as good after being jostled around in my pocket.) There's not much seating inside but in nicer weather, they have tables set up outside and you can take your muffin to eat by the water. Also gotta give Sunny Girl points for accepting takeout orders at the height of the weekend brunch crush, as not many places do that. Can't wait to come back and try a few of the other items.

If you are looking for the best breakfast sandwich in Boston here it is. And I've tried the infamous Mike and Patty's and in my opinion it's no match to Sunny Girl. The service is fast and the sandwiches are amazing. The English muffin is what makes it so unique it's homemade and the most delicious English muffin I have ever tried. Also the sunny sauce is outstanding and really makes the sandwich moist. But I order the OG, add sausage, no cheese, on focaccia ( because I try to avoid dairy ) and the English muffin has dairy in it, and it's fantastic. But if you can get the English muffin it's a must.

I got the truffle shuffle and it was really good! All the ingredients mixed well together and the focaccia wasn't dry. The place is small so there's not many places to sit so I would do takeout. When I ordered takeout the food was ready fast.

I understand the hype!! The sandwiches are SO. GOOD. I've never been obsessed with English muffins until I had one from Sunny Girl. It's pretty small inside so I'd recommend ordering ahead for takeout as there isn't much seating. But the people are very friendly and speedy. Most importantly, all their food tastes delicious and was pretty affordable pricing for Boston!

This is the best breakfast we had in Boston. Hands down. Every time I asked where we should eat that day, she always responded, "Sunny Girl!" We seriously could eat there on a very regular basis. This cosy eatery is a vibe. It is a pot with old charm and character. I loved the bar that ran along the front windows and overlooked the sidewalk. Nothing better than people watching while talking with friends and eating. There are even outside tables. They have an inventive menu of absolutely delicious sandwiches. I had a hard time choosing which one I was going to eat. I had the truffle shuffle and my wife the breakfast sandwich. They also have fresh juices, unique drinks, and high quality coffee. And the handmade "pop tart-like" pastries (we loved it). There were several people eating there, but they also had an endless flow of pick-up orders. Check it out, you'll love it.

Clearly I can't get enough of this spot, it's one of my most frequented restaurants in the city--one that I constantly crave and recommend. Their flavors back such a uniquely flavorful punch, creating an emphasis of decadent flavors in your mouth without exhausting you of their taste. UNMATCHED english muffins as well, and I'll die on that hill. What's even more exciting is their brand new dinner menu offering a weekly rotating special and wide selection of delicious burgers, and yes they're served on the english muffins. Trust me, you can't miss this spot--breakfast, lunch, or dinner it's doesn't matter, they're all just as special! Service is fast and the place just filled with joyful energy at all times. It's truly the spot to be.

I'd really like to downgrade this review on the account that the cashier lowkey, but pretty savagely, made fun of me in the checkout process. Had the sandwiches not lived up to the hype... I definitely would have. But, alas, the sandwiches were quite delicious and despite the establishment being quite busy -- our food came out in a VERY respectable amount of time. I would (will) return and I will be praying that the same cashier is not present....

We had a quick overnight trip to Boston and needed a quick breakfast before our drive back home. We looked up the best reviews for breakfast in Old North End and we were simply blown away! The menu was robust for this literal hole in the wall shop. It was super easy to order, we got lucky and snagged a stool at the window, waited for our order, and then simply enjoyed our breakfast! I wanted to try the entire menu. You will not be disappointed.

Sunny girl is a great little spot to grab a breakfast sandwich! They offer a variety of breakfast sandwich options and a few drinks. We went for the og which had a super yummy sauce on delicious english muffins. It's a small space with some outside seating, but it's the perfect spot to grab your order to go. Food comes out prettt fast and the staff is really nice.

As a certified breakfast lover, I had high hopes for this spot, and it did not disappoint! We went on a busy, warm Sunday morning, and there was a longer wait to order and get our food. I went with the classic sausage, egg, and cheese on an english muffin. Absolutely delicious! The rest of the group I was with enjoyed their various sandwiches as well -- no complaints. There was very limited outdoor seating, but lots of room to stand outside. We ended up sitting on the median area with plants on the sidewalk. Highly recommend this spot if you're wanting a yummy, easy breakfast while venturing around the area.

delicious breakfast sandwiches on homemade english muffins. seriously delicious. i could eat 3. very popular so the wait times can be a bit longer BUT worth it. the space inside is small so waiting can feel a bit cramped but the outside seating options are great! would recommend to anyone!

What a great find! I tried this place while staying in the north end and am so happy I did, would 100% return next time I'm in the area. My boyfriend got the breakfast grilled cheese and I tried the sunny girl, both were delicious! The homemade English muffin was perfect and the sunny sauce was super tastey. The menu has a ton of unique items on it and I just wanted to try them all. There was a very long line on a Sunday morning but the wait ended up being about 45 minutes from getting in line to getting our food- 10/10 recommend!

Stopped by this small, unassuming breakfast spot in the North End Waterfront this morning for a quick breakfast. Though there's limited indoor seating, the outdoor tables provide a more spacious option, or you can enjoy it right on the waterfront. The menu includes English muffin breakfast sandwiches where you can choose how your eggs are cooked -- runny, not runny, over easy, scrambled, or sunny side up (poached eggs aren't an option). Other sandwich options include the Croque Madame, the [Pre-'98] Italian (packed with generous portions of meat) and the Sunny Girl BLT. We ordered the Sunny Girl and Artie Party to try their famed homemade English muffins. And they did not disappoint! The English muffins were so flavorful and fluffy soft, it made the perfect breakfast vehicule. The Sunny Girl sandwich is an elevated take on the classic with thick-cut bacon (almost like ham!), creamy avocado, your choice of egg, and their delicious sunny sauce. The house-made sunny sauce is a flavor bomb, and the fluffy, soft English muffin perfectly soaks up the runny egg. The Artie Party sandwich is a more adventurous option with mortadella, pistachio mascarpone, and wild cherry mostarda. While unique and tasty (I enjoyed the crunch from the pistachios), it leans toward a sweet-savory flavor profile that I wasn't quite craving. I probably would opt for the Sunny Girl or the O.G. next time for something more traditional. They also have chocolate milk, water, coffee, and other drinks available. All orders are to-go. Also, quick tip: eat your sandwich right away, especially if your eggs are runny, as it can get messy -- although the English muffin does a great job of soaking up all that deliciousness.

She was so excited when she found Cafe Bonjour because they had several gluten-free options on the menu. We took an Uber there right after we landed and were able to walk right in and get a table when they opened, which worked out perfectly because the place started to fill up! It's a cute little spot with plenty of seating inside, and they also had a nice outdoor parklet that would be great in good weather. We asked to sit at the bar so we could watch the cooks in action, which was really fun. The menu had all the classic breakfast favorites like eggs and French toast, along with some lunch options like hamburgers and chicken wraps. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered the gluten-free eggs benedict and absolutely loved it. I had the Bonjour omelet, and it was delicious. However, it's close to Boston Common and the public garden so there's things to do to while you wait. The owner and staff are super nice and friendly. They're cognizant that people wait a long time to eat at their establishment and treat you with kindness when you're inside. It is very cramped and the tables are close together, but the rustic feeling makes it a great place to catch up with 1 or 2 friends. There's a wide variety of breakfast/brunch items, so there's something on the menu for everyone. The kitchen also is good about substitutions. Additionally, the portions are reasonable for the price, especially for the area. Most entrees come with a salad, which was a fun surprise. I got the Signature Scramble and liked the variety in the dish. The eggs did have caramelized onions, which I picked out, but there was a good amount of sauce and flavor on the plate. This place has been on my Boston brunch bucket list, so I'm glad that I've gone. I'd recommend this place to people who appreciate a good meal, but wouldn't take people who are impatient or claustrophobic.
