This is exactly what I needed! Friendly faces and loving service! The owner is a doll. This place is a jewel.

That's is exactly what we wanted! Great food, amazing service and friendly faces! Don't miss out on this gem!!!

I haven't been here in about 20 years. They still have delicious food. I can't say they've improved because everything here is perfect. Location, food, accessibility, food, customer experience, food...did I mention food? I was there for breakfast and ordered the eggs, sausage toast and home fries. The home fries were chunky goodness, Fluffy eggs with chedder accompanied by thick sliced wheat bread and sausage links. Definitely hit the spot. Don't wait 20 years to come in for breakfast or lunch. Although takeout and delivery is readily.

Amazing breakfast spot with huge portion sizes! I had the Avocado, Tomato, Spinach Omelette, and it was so tasty! Definitely not like the omelette i'm used to as the eggs were a bit more on the scrambled side but it was amazing! Could definitely have shared this meal with one other, as it was served with 2 slices of toast and lots of large roasted potatoes.

Scali cafe was good. During the lunch rush it was a bit busy but not a crazy long wait. The sandwich itself was tasty but I wouldn't say anything out of this world unfortunately. If you're in a pinch, not a bad place to stop by! I do want to come back and try breakfast though!

This is a good ass deli I tell ya what, Food is pretty bad ass here & very affordable & not at all expensive. Fairly quick service & the inside had a nice homy feel to it, some of the employees have accents which is cool but they're still easy to understand cause their english is just fine. Wish I coulda ate more here cause everything looked sounded & tasted super dooper awesome so hopefully I get to Eat here again sometime.

Stopped by this cafe for lunch. They have A LOT of options on their menu to choose from. It seems like a very popular spot from all the good reviews. The staff was nice and worked quick. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It was REALLY delicious! One of the best I've had. It threw me off that it was not warm though. My friends liked the sandwiches they ordered too.

I usually get my breakfast at one of the local coffee places but today I wanted something a bit more substantial served on a plate. It turned out to be Scali Cafe today. Order at the counter, wait for your food, then pay for it at the register. Easy enough. I opted for a ham and cheese omelet and it took a bit to be prepared since it's all done fresh and to order. Very good portion that was tasty and nicely done. A great breakfast that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Half of The Big Pappi Sandwich. Dry "pastrami" and barely noticeable bacon and cheese.

The sandwiches are fairly well sized for hearty appetites, but they are also a bit expensive given the quality of the ingredients. The soft Italian seeded bread is a good start. I tried The Big Poppi, which is pastrami with cheese and bacon. The good news is the amount of pastrami was generous, but the cheese, bacon, and mustard was barely noticeable. The "pastrami" seemed more like thin sliced corned beef as it lacked pastrami seasoning. And it was dry. I wouldn't order this sandwich again.

I stopped by in the early afternoon this past Monday with my top-tier chum who literally went to the school of hospitality. This establishment is pretty close to a prior Airbnb we've stayed at and is in a neighborhood we've spent a solid amount of time in, so it's been off and on our radar for a few years. I'm pretty sure we attempted to stop by on an earlier trip but it was too busy - a tribute to the restaurant for sure. Two elements stood out to me almost immediately when we walked in, one good, one bad. On a positive note, the service was excellent - that came across in waves. This is a busy restaurant in a tourist area, and nine out of 10 times, the hospitality would suffer as a result. Not here; we were warmly received as soon as we walked in and were consistently attended to throughout our visit. Top notch in that regard. Con? Personal preference on my end, it just felt kind of grimy in there, like it had taken on the personality of its neighborhood, which is in my opinion not the best and has a homeless issue. There's definitely some personality in there - some gorgeous wood paneling and whatnot - but it was a little too chaotic/claustrophobic for me. I think there's a way they could upgrade the interior without compromising the uniqueness of Cafe Bonjour. I was at the part of our mini-vacation where I didn't necessarily have regrets over my food naughtiness, but my palate definitely needed some legitimate nourishment. I opted for the Signature Blueberry Bowl,, which predictably featured a great many blueberries, and was essentially an acai bowl interpretation with bananas and peanut butter (similar to the Acai Power Bowl at Playa Bowls). It was fine - good portion for what it was. I think they should have made it more...solid, if that makes sense. Like make the blended blueberry aspect quasi frozen so it had more substance to it. Without doing so, it just seemed too liquidy and harder to eat as a result. It was also a little bland and could have used an additional ingredient or two, and the hunks of peanut butter were difficult to blend into the bowl, so sometimes you'd end up inadvertently getting nothing but a mouthful of peanut butter. Not the best, but also probably not their biggest menu selling point. For what it's worth, my chum loved her dish (I think she got the Bennies) and enjoyed her time here immensely. This is one I'd like a do-over on and would be more than willing to come back with a better appetite and revisit - I don't know that my opinions on the vibe/atmosphere are going to change (though maybe some of that is dependent on the weather and this place really shines when the sun is out), but I probably didn't get the best that Cafe Bonjour has to offer.

If in Boston this is an ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE. If we had room and weren't leaving town the same night we'd have bought the banana bread. The French toast was absolutely outstanding!! Easily one of the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, rich, and flavorful, it's a must-order and alone makes this place worth visiting. The huevos rancheros were decent, but not quite at the same level. They felt a bit less authentic than expected, and the hot sauce option was limited to Tabasco. I think a more traditional, homemade Mexican-style salsa would have elevated the dish significantly and made it shine. Because of that, I'm giving North Street Grille 4 stars. The French toast is phenomenal, and with a little more attention to authenticity on certain savory dishes, this spot could easily be a 5-star brunch destination. I'd definitely come back! Especially for the French toast.

After taking it home, I reheated it with sugar, black pepper, butter, and Parmesan cheese, and mixed with pasta--it instantly felt much smoother and more delicious! The restaurant's decor was simple and rustic, with natural-colored wooden tables that looked gentle and warm in the sunlight. I really liked it.
