Beejhy Barhany roasting fresh ethiopian coffee at Mamalehs
    Rebecca S.

Was already a huge fan of Mamaleh's food. Was so happy to see them hosting my favorite cookbook author, Beejhy Barhany on Saturday May 3rd for free recipe samples from her new cookbook Gursha! The samples were: * Shahi-spiced Praline Babka (YUM) * Ethiopian barbecue corn bread with zhoug butter * Fresh roasted Ethiopian Coffee Available for purchase: * cabbage and kale bourekas

latkes, Full Hot Corned Beef (1/2 lb), Whitefish Salad Sandwich, Cup Matzah Ball Soup (hot)
    Tavia G.

I make a point to come here everytime I come to Cambridge, it's become my tradition. The food is honestly out of this world and the prices are very affordable. They have the best whitefish I have ever had, the latkes are always crispy, and the matzo ball soup is very comforting. My partner had the corned beef this past visit and said it was just ok, but everything else is a 10/10. The space is gorgeous, bright, and spacious, and the staff are always so friendly. It's also very quick, making it the perfect spot for your lunch break!

    Chicken shnitzel (would recommend)

Got a chicken shnitzel sandwich and some latkes delivered and it slapped. The chicken coating was ultra crispy and the zhoug mayo was the perfect flavor kick. The pickle that came with was not my jam though, very bitter. The latkes were solid with sour cream and apple sauce, I'm sure only better when still warm. Would order from Mamaleh's again.

Solid Jewish deli that delivers in all the classic dishes. We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were able to quickly grab a table and quickly get our food. The pastrami egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was tasty. The fluffy bread and fluffy eggs just melt in your mouth and the salty pastrami and cheese were full of flavor. I do wish there was a tad bit more pastrami though. The babka muffin was okay. It was a little too burnt and dried for my liking but the flavors were good. The iced coffee was fine but if you don't want milk make sure you tell them when you order. There are a decent number of tables and counter seats. Decor is fun and has a nice modern look to it.

Really solid jewish deli. Phenomenal Corned Beef Rueben & Latkes. The smoked mushroom was a really great options for the vegetarians out there. Only thing that would've made it better is if the sandwich came with fries or chips. Pro tip: The frozen latkes to go are really good even baked days later!

3.5/5! Rugelach had good flavor but had a dense texture. Blintzes reminded me of a thicker crepe with savory ricotta like cheese filling. Glad I tried (would recommend the raspberry jam with it), but wasn't too big of a fan!

    Rice Krispie treat

Authentic Jewish deli food in a spacious spot conveniently located in Cambridge. I came here for lunch with a friend. He got the Rachel, which was delicious and an ample size. I got a special brown butter Rice Krispie treat, which was also very tasty. Picked up some cute swag in their front shopping area to take home. My friend got a bunch of take home food, since he and his wife are big fans of Mamaleh's. I'd definitely come back on my next visit.

solid jewish delicatessen with seemingly pretty high quality ingredients. the corned beef was good but i feel like it couldve been improved if the bread was even just toasted or warm. the matzah ball soup was light and yummy with nice chicken and other fillings. the rugelach was delicious and other desserts looked really delectable as well. the pickled herring was really good and i would recommend for any fish lovers! the service is standard and friendly, you order at the front and your food is brought to you. the ambiance is light and bright, very casual and chill. i'd come back to try some other dishes and would overall recommend mamaleh's.

Talk about a good place for a lox bagel! everything here is so good, from the pastrami to the salmon everything is perfection! Their pickles are also out of this world, and the bagels to die for! The staff is very friendly and the interior looks so good, it does not look like most delis. They also have amazing merch. If ever in Cambridge, it is a must stop!

    Egg sandwich

Good menu with lots of options! I got the egg sandwhich on challah bread and it was lovely! It comes with a pickle too which was nice on the side! The place itself is nice and spacious with a good amount of seats!

Cute deli place with a cafe vibe! There was a bit of a wait likely because of the busy weekend. Tried the Pastrami Egg and Cheese (5/5) and the L.E.O (5/5). I think the pastrami was extra tasty.

The Babakah French Toast was way to dry, it needed more dredging. The LEO (Lox, Egg, Caramelized Onions) sandwich was outstanding.

Any idea what kind of flour they use for the gluten free options?

    How is the service?

Friendly, and on occasion wonderfully sassy.

We put our names on the list and we were told that our wait would be 25-35 minutes. Our luck continued as we only waited 15 minutes before being escorted to a booth. As I said earlier, it was busy and you could tell the wait staff was working to keep everyone happy! We were given menus and quickly asked what we would like to drink. The drinks were on our table in no time! We ordered one appetizer (buffalo fried brussel sprouts) and it came pretty quickly! I am not a big fan but my son and wife loved it! They raved about the seasoning and taste of the sprouts! (see picture) We put our orders in for dinner after finishing the sprouts. I ordered steak tips with frieds and ceasar salad, we had pan roasted flattened half chicken and a shaved kale and brussels salad to top things off. The food was delivered to our table in managable time. I would say 15 minutes from the time we ordered. The food was delicious and serving size was perfect. All three of were happy with our choices. The steak tips were perfect for me.....cooked medium well and juicy! We finished our dinner off with a dessert that my wife had heard of and wanted to order. I did not have any, but they raved about it! The Banana Break pudding was out of this world! I wish I saved some room as the smell was delicious and the size was perfect! WOW!
