Holy cow I will be back. I got The Big Steak and my friend got The Mayflower on ciabatta. The Big Steak: Steak, cheese, shredded lettuce, red onion, diced pickles, and thousand island dressing. Served fresh off the grill. Hot and oozing with flavors. Literally so good. It reminds me of a DIY attempt at making a Big Mac in the best way possible. Mayflower: Oven roasted turkey, house stuffing, lettuce, bacon, mayo, and house made cranberry sauce. Molly got it on ciabatta instead of in a wrap. Ultimtely I went with The Goodfella and it was delicious. I ordered extra hots, and had a fantastic sub. The bread was fresh and hearty, definitely need strong teeth to rip through it, and all the fixings were fresh and meats were premium quality. The presentation of the sandwich was very nice with a filling, and colorful display. Staff was friendly and would gladly come back. Found this place on Yelp while I was in the city for the day this week. Read the reviews and prepared myself for the chaos of lunch hour. Got there at 12:15 and was out within 20 minutes with a delicious & large eggplant caprese. I also snagged a brownie for $1! The sandwich was so fresh, so flavorful. We would order at the beginning of the counter to the staff making the sandwich, then move down to the end of the line to pay. Then we would wait for our sandwich to be made and called upon. I arrived a few minutes before they were set to open and there was already a few people waiting. They opened about 10 minutes after the posted opening time. By the time the doors opened, there was a line that was 15 people deep. I got two sandwiches (steak pizziaola and the Sinatra). You place your order with a member of the staff at the start of the line and then walk to the register to pay. Both sandwiches were flavorful and well filled. I've been to this sandwich shoppe twice in one week-my first time and then the very next day! Both my daughter and I love this place. Small, standing room only, non pretentious atmosphere. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, but another employee walking by us and the lady at the register. She greeted us with a big smile and a"welcome!" I found this place through a suggestion by a friend. One thing she told me is make sure you get there early because "there may be a line!"...Wow, was she right. I arrived about 11:45am to a decent line. The group in front of me estimated the line would take about 15 minutes so I stayed. The line snakes around from the front door until you get to place your order. There were 4 employees hustling to get orders out while one employee handled the transactions. It worked well but I they would be alot better off with 1 or 2 more employees! When I got to the front, I ordered a turkey sandwich on chebatta (next time I will try a wrap because they looked delicious) with caramelized onions, small amount of mustard and pickles. The sandwich was whipped up in a short time and I was out of there after about 30 minutes. The sandwich was awesome. The bread was perfect...fresh and hot.....the onions were fantastic and a great way to top my sandwich! I grabbed a water and an small brownie, which was also a "10"! I plan my work trips to Boston to be here Thursday for "the whitey wrap" best Buffalo chicken sandwich in the game. My girlfriend's kid loves Buffalo chicken it's his favorite. I ordered the Big Steak sandwich and the Turkey and each is a very filling option. The steak sandwich is quite heavy and can knock you out with its steak, lettuce and cheese. The Turkey sandwich is my favorite with avocados and a special sauce that makes it very savory and filling. While I was there with my coworker, one of them had their order misplaced entirely (different sandwich) and my other coworker had gotten cheese in his steak sandwich when he was lactose intolerant. This was probably due to how busy the store was around lunchtime, but it's why I give this 4 stars.
