    Mediterranean omelet. It was delicious.

Amazing service! I stopped for breakfast. I asked for strawberry jam and they were kind enough to find some for me.

Not bad place for breakfast. Diner vibe. This is a bar that is a breakfast place in the morning. I wish I knew that since I was looking for it everywhere. LOL Takes a bit of a time so if you are in a hurry don't go. Overall place is good. Veggie omelette - super fresh 8/10 Chocolate chip pancakes - they were ok 5/10 I would've given this place at four but because of the wait times and service 3/5 Would come back here again if you can't find anywhere else to go.

In the mornings at least, this coffee bar slings coffee. I popped in on the walk to work for a double espresso and a muffin. Service was friendly enough and the location is nice, located right near the Park Street T and across from the Common. Espresso was okay. I have had better with a richer flavor. The banana nut muffin had a good flavor but was underdone in the center. Maybe I just caught them on an off day. I'll be back though.

Excellent coffee -- a very special -- one off kind of coffee bar -- fronted by two vivacious young ladies with smiles and plenty of spunk. Little places like this in the tourist lane of downtown Boston made our trip feel more authentic. Just darn good coffee my way and tasty baked goods with plenty of welcoming attitude. Directly across the street from Boston Commons and the burial ground of famous patriots like Paul Revere -- this is just a hop skip from the Park Street tram station -- sort of the center of the Boston universe --geographically speaking. Top Tip: Stay and eat here before you are seduced into the tourist traps at Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall. You can thank me later.

My husband and I were on our way to the New England Aquarium; stopped here for a breakfast sandwich and some coffee. Now, let me start off by saying when it comes to coffee, I am exceptionally critical because I lived in Italy for 2 years. I got an espresso and my husband got a regular brew. I add just a hint of sugar to dull down the bitterness. I would rate it a 2.5/5. My husband added his normal deal (half and half and some sugar) and did not like it at all. He described it as "dirty" tasting. "Gas station coffee is better". We give the coffee 1 Star. What the 2 more stars are for, are our breakfast sandwiches. I'm sure a few of you are going to say, "they're just breakfast sandwiches though..." Well, for us, they were some of the best that we've had in a very long time. We each got a sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin. They were 5/5. Apart from what we ate, the vibe in there was awesome. Nice and friendly and comfortable. They were playing very up to date music and some rap. I had no complaints, but for the older generation, I could see them disliking that. I would recommend trying it out.

I'm pretty excited about this place because they have decaf iced coffee, while most other coffee shops don't. The atmosphere is funky and there wasn't a ridiculous line. It seems like it could be a cool place to stop and hang out and it's conveniently located near Park Street. It's a bit overpriced for what you get - medium decaf iced coffee for $3.25. The coffee is pretty strong - even after the ice melted, it didn't taste watered down. I also got a shot of vanilla flavor but I can't taste it at all. Next time I'll either ask for more or try a stronger flavor. I'll be back to try again and hope the flavor shot is better next time!

    Large Nitro Cold brew!

Close to the Park Street Subway stop we were lured in by the Nitro Brew coffee. Location is clean with trendy interior. We didn't have food so can't speak to that. The Nitro brew was smooth and nutty and enjoyed by my husband. They also have decaf iced coffee which was some of the best I have ever had. The iced coffee wasn't watered down at all with minimal bitterness and lower acidity. Milk, Soymilk, H&H, Cane Sugar and Sugar Substitutes available to take care of yourself. Staff was very friendly and appeared knowledgeable about the coffee and differences in the brews. Prices are average for area. Just a small note - 2 stall, very small and clean (ladies) bathroom. I got my hands all suds up with soap and then couldn't get the motion activated sink to work at all. Check the water first before soaping up.

Loved the atmosphere and the homemade oatmeal with blueberries and peanut butter! The help needs a little customer service training. No customer acknowledgement and continued talking about their personal problems while helping me and other customers. I could tell you everything going on in their life right now! But did really liked the atmosphere and food choices!!

    Lobster Benedict

We found this place on our trip to Boston while doing the Freedom Trail Tour. Ziggy's Coffee Bar has very fair prices for being downtown and really great food. I got the Lobster Benedict, which was one of the most incredible ways I had eaten lobster during the whole trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Boston.

Sad, this place appears to be so cute and somewhat artisanal... As soon as we walked in to order coffee, the barista had a very "I don't want to be here and you are making it worse by ordering from me, go away" air about her. She didn't make eye contact with us at all and stared down at the cash register in annoyance while we ordered, and when we asked to double check if she got that I wanted almond milk on my latte, she said "yeah I got ears". Ouch. I wasn't comfortable to even ask where the restroom was because it seemed it would be such a bother, so I wandered over and found it on my own (small and not very clean). A couple minutes later, she walks towards us and states plainly "YOUR card was declined," so we had to try swiping again before it was accepted. Now, a few minutes later a drink is placed on the counter and I ask what it is: it is my boyfriends drink, made with the almond milk that I had asked for in MY drink. So, even though she "got ears", she in fact messed up our order and had to remake it, probably because she didn't write it down initially (which is why we asked if she had gotten it). After all was said and done, the drinks were not that great, but the barista made the experience absolutely bitter, not the coffee. It wasn't like the service was just meh, it was like the service was intentionally rude, and our patronage was a huge inconvenience. If I ever give this place the grace of my patronage again, it will be very cautiously and I hope that there is a different barista with a better demeanor. The only reason we came here was because it was Sunday and the nearby Peet's Coffee was closed. *sigh*

Loved this little coffee shop that shares space and staff with Beantown Pub! Staff was always friendly and normal wait times for coffee service. Small, but nice selection of fresh pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Plenty of seats if you want to sit for a spell. Great addition to the area for coffee!

Food was okay. Servers were slow. Prices were reasonable. There is no host/hostess at door. I went for breakfast, however, and am not a local. It seemed to be a cool atmosphere inside as the window seating positioned across from the park. There's also a bar, TV's and an arcade for guests to enjoy. So maybe it would've been a different experience had it been for lunch?

    Sign by front door.
    Miranda D.

The food was just okay, coffee was above average. One person in my group ordered a panini, but it came out as a simple coldcut sandwich. The poor rating is mainly due to the multiple signs that say "For table service, please sit yourself." See the attached image! That was not the case. We sat down and waited and the not busy staff stared at us as if we had lost our minds. The sign was right beside the front door! We were totally fine ordering at the counter but the signs told us otherwise. Please take the sign down, and add a sign that says "order at counter".

Good breakfast food. Hours of operation didn't match what Google suggested. Tea and coffee were good too.

Prior to visiting Boston, I did my research on things to do and places to eat. Every search for…read morebreakfast spots mentioned Mike & Patty's as a must stop for the best breakfast sandwich you're going to get anywhere. Enough said! I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.

We walked into a space that stood out immediately with its design, mixing warm lighting, vintage-inspired décor, and a layout that felt equally suited for a quick coffee or a slower sit-down morning. The room had a relaxed but stylish energy, with enough seating variety to accommodate both quick stops and longer stays, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to settle in for a bit. The menu leans heavily into pastries and breakfast items, with croissants and baked goods being one of the biggest draws. We ordered a few things and found items like breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast, and seasonal croissants forming the core of the experience. The croissants in particular stood out for their variety and creativity, and the coffee drinks were solid and paired well with the food rather than trying to be overly complex. The pastries felt fresh and well made, and the balance of sweet and savory options gave us room to mix and match depending on our mood. The atmosphere is one of its strongest points. It can get busy during peak hours, especially in the morning, which sometimes leads to longer lines and a faster-paced service flow. When it is running smoothly, the experience feels very polished and efficient, but crowding can affect pacing. Service tended to be friendly and professional, though the volume of customers could occasionally make the experience feel a bit rushed during peak times. It is more of a high-traffic café than a quiet hidden spot, so timing your visit makes a noticeable difference in how relaxed it feels. Overall, Tradesman Coffee Shop and Lounge is a strong downtown café option if you are looking for well-made pastries, reliable coffee, and a visually appealing space. It works best as a morning stop or casual meeting spot, especially if you are already in the area and want something more elevated than a standard chain café.
