We came in today for a quick lunch and YAY we have another place we will frequent! Total old school breakfast diner vibe with great food. My husband had the elk burger and I had a turkey deli sandwich. My husbands burger didn't stand a chance and was gone within minutes. He LOVED it. The deli sandwich was delicious and huge! Took some home :) We had the delight of having Kim as our server. She was so wonderful and fun to talk to. This place is a gem. read more

When we were newly planted in Idaho and discovered the location of this eatery in 2014 it was called Steve's. When Steve (Vincelli) who owned a 'mothership' Steve's in a different town decided to leave Meridian one of the lovely employees, Terri, bought the business and so it became Terri's Cafe. We had not been in since the Terri's shingle went up. But in looking for a local place for a good ol' breakfast following a morning hospital visit, we asked the nurse where she would recommend nearby. She rattled off a couple of local names and shrugged that "they get a lot of Yelp buzz but they really aren't very good". Agreed, we said. Been to 'em. Then as we were leaving the parking lot we remembered Terri's and thought if it is now as it was then when Steve's this would be a very good place for old fashioned breakfast to fill our tummies with the kind of "we're glad you're here" service our spirits needed that morning.. We were delighted to find Terri's lived up to our expectations and then some. We thought about going back to tell that nurse so she would know it too! In the category of this kind of cafe, Terri's is hard to beat. I wrote the following intro about Steve's in 2014 and I'll avoid recreating the Yelp-comments-wheel to use it again because it so applies to Terri's now: "Inside the cheerful storefront we found warm greeting at the door, sparkling bright "all people are welcome here" ambiance, good food with many items house made, a menu with options for vegetarians to omnivores and it seemed for those who eat gluten free or vegan too, very fair prices, breakfast served all day (yahoo for that) and super efficient and friendly service. The sign says "Breakfast and Lunch among Friends". That's just what it felt like inside." FOOD: Some is house-made, like the sausages. Some is not, like the biscuits which are very good and I was surprised to learn they bake them off there but don't start them from scratch. I'm glad I enjoyed biscuits on our last visit because I have recently joined, not by my choice, the "no gluten for you" club and so ordering those again is in my rearview. I will now appreciate that Terri's menu has a lot of gluten free offerings including waffles and pancakes and on the lunch menu burgers and sandwiches served on gluten fee buns. Among the extensive menu of breakfast offerings is a handful of great options for "lighter fare", which means things like half portion of Eggs Benedict or Classic Breakfast. Nice. It often works for me to have smaller portions. Hash browns are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and not one iota greasy. Bacon is served nice and crispy. My hubby likes the pancakes and the huckleberry syrup that is just sweet enough and not too much so it tasted like fresh berries and a short stack is more than enough to fill him up with a side of bacon. Coffee cups are kept filled with a good medium roast brew. And here's a tip for another time: their house-made lemonade is supposed to be super good. PRICES: So reasonable for the food quality and serving sizes. In our case, breakfast for two with two coffees came in at just south of $24 BTT as I remember. . Deduct the beverage and for the food alone you'd be under twenty bucks. A very good value. I don't know how they do it. Booths line the walls and in front of the window. Formica tables with wood chairs are in the rest of the space and are thankfully spread far enough apart to avoid "sardine can" seating for diners and too tight squeeze getting to and from for diners or staff. There are also a few stools at an open counter. At the 'shoulder time' between breakfast service and lunch it seemed as if all customers but us were regulars. The couple at the table next to us had a baby and two toddlers in the mix who were making quite a mess of things on table and floor, as kids that age do, and the staff was super patient with them. A number of the customers were in a 'senior category'. All ages in between. This is a neighborhood style cafe even if not in a neighborhood. SERVICE: Top notch, from greet and seat through order and eat they hit every beat. We asked questions about items on the menu and our delightful server could answer every one. LOCATION / PARKING: Tucked off of Fairvew in a little strip mall and can be a bit tough to spot at first. The parking lot is ample but difficult. ACCESSIBILITY: All on one floor. Ample standard height seating. Accessible parking in the lot but too little of it to meet ADA...mall owners issue not Terri's. Went with family and food was alright. Place was busy but we did go on a Sunday. Our server seemed a little scattered. Took our order of drinks and left. Thinking we would get them before ordering food but didn't not even water. Food came and still no drinks had to remind her. My wife ordered the chili cheese fries and they may want to ask or put on menu what's in dish. There was large chunks of onions uncooked on top and also in chili. The dish also stated cheese but there was none. She would have sent back but server took too long to get our drinks. read more

The environment was home like. The food was very good. We only had to wait 15 min. Once sitted Amber took our order she was very kind and friendly. Our food was perfect no issues. The coffee was hot and good. My French toast was fluffy and soft and very good. My bacon was just the way I like it crispy. My husband and I went to Terri's on the 23rd to get our butts up and going for a long and stressful day.... and because I wanted a local joint with good breakfast food. I got the Eggs Benedict. I have NEVER had one before. I have made the dish for others but I have never eaten it myself. I'm not entirely sure why. I now realize that I was missing out this whole time. The eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was also made right (can be a pain to make from scratch, trust me.) I was so full when finished but it was a happy full. It was also served with hashbrowns and those were really good too. My husband get the bacon cheeseburger. He really liked the buns they use but the meat was a little more rare than what he likes but he said it was still really good. Their fries were pretty darn tasty too. I tried their sparkling Strawberry basil lemonade. It was lacking the sparkling and not a whole lot of sweetness but still refreshing. When Steve owned this it was on top of must go's id recommend now it's a Shell of what it used to je but still descent overall. The problem is the going duper cheap on the things that made this so good. I understand food cost when up then charge us more 15 for a ricotta stuffed French toast that was the best in town to 12 huckleberries and the huckleberry puurree was almost no existent. Charge us 2 more dollars than giving us a naked peice of French toast. And kids meals don't come with drinks no big deal just know the hotchocolate is more that meal price on kids meal. I had the small biscuit and gravy, a solo egg, and bacon. I requested my egg to be over medium, which, in my world, should be half hard and half runny. But our server confidently told me that's called over medium/well. Alright, fine, let's roll with it. Now, my dear father, being the adventurous eater he is, ordered a beef patty with OM (Over Medium) eggs too. Imagine our surprise when his eggs turned out to be over-easy, almost slipping and sliding off the plate with whites that were not fully cooked. As he lifted a forkful, a slimy, uncooked white clung to the plate, creating quite the stretchy situation. Gross, right? Visiting the Boise area from Colorado, and wanted to find a local breakfast/brunch spot. We were in Meridian and used Yelp to find a place with good reviews. It was about 10:30 in the morning when we arrived and Terri's was busy. Due to Covid, some tables were closed, and there were 5 parties ahead of us waiting for seats. They took our name and phone number, told us it would be 25 minutes, and we waited in our car. 25 minutes later, they called, we were seated, and menus provided. I ordered the Half California Benedict (bacon, tomato, avocado) with a side of home fries. Those home fries were perfect! The hollandaise sauce had a great flavor. Husband had the 2 eggs with Mexican sausage, hash browns and a side of fruit. Plus black coffee. He said "it was average". Daughter got eggs, Italian sausage links (they were pretty greasy) and avocado with white bread toast. She ate almost all of it, and said she loved it! Overall, A great experience. Couldn't say enough good things about this place!! We are from California where there is food on every corner and lots of good places to go to. This place is all quality and service! Took one of our little babies here after church and I got the California Benedict - which out of all the places we've been to in Idaho, this was the best yet!! By a landslide! Honestly couldn't believe how good it was when I sliced through it. They give you two delicious pieces of ham on it too which was a nice surprise. The Benedict sauce too.. OMG. My husband got the corn beef and hash.. I thought wow. GROSS but I took a bite and it was pure heaven!! How was it so good?!Haha the kids meal with the sausage.. damn that things good too. They put a big paper under the high chair to prevent a mess from little ones and I thought wow.. what a great idea!! Our server was Lisa and she is an absolute doll! I still love Terri's!!! I can't go to Idaho without having breakfast there!!! The staff is friendly and always get my order right! Your food comes out hot and what was ordered! They have an extensive gluten free menu which is hard to find. So both normal people () and gluten free eaters can partake together. There's other places for breakfast but the food won't be as good and the service won't be like Terri's! And you'll wait in line on the weekends forever. I love this place! Delicious food made to order! I've tried their Monte Cristo, Huckleberry Stuffed French Toast and TABS Omelette. The food is fresh and hot. The servers are not only friendly but seasoned professionals. Terri's is my top recommendation of all the breakfast restaurants I've tried in the area. I found the food to be delicious and consistently good. The restaurant is a pretty typical breakfast joint with booths, tables and even counter seating. Terri's is conveniently located relatively close to The Village at Meridian. Please note Terri's is also open for lunch until 2:30. The food is so good I forgot to take pictures!! My wife found this restaurant on Yelp. We went last Sunday after church for brunch. It is only open for breakfast and lunch. We went there around 1:00 PM, and it was pretty full. We were able to sit down pretty quickly. I ordered the Big Bird with a fruit cup. The sandwich was great. The bread was fresh and crisp, the meat was fresh and juicy, and the service was great. My wife ordered the ultimate club wrap. She enjoyed it and said it was great. The meat was fresh, the cole slaw was delicious. The service was great, and our waitress was very attentive to us. If you are on Fairview Avenue in the morning or early afternoon and are hungry it is worth going here to eat. read more

Excellent breakfast spot, never disappoints! Honestly, this isn't your most fancy restaurant but everything about it makes you feel right at home. Staff is very friendly and accommodating, super efficient and pay close attention to detail. Example, our 10 month old is just learning how to eat "adult food" but he makes quite the mess. We told the staff that we had a baby when we came inside, they found a great spot and even put white paper under the high chair to catch any mess. It's this attention that makes me appreciate them and want to come back. Where most restaurants see children as an inconvenience or burden, the staff here are accommodating and prepared. Ordered food and food came out in less than 8 minutes. I was super impressed by this and also amazed by how yummy the food was. Those red house potatoes were something else, highly recommend! I've had this place on my radar for awhile now. So glad I was able to try it today. Monte Cristo and Huckleberry stuffed French toast. MUAH!! So good. The Cristo was grilled and not deep fried. It was tasty regardless. Served with syrup but they will give you jam if you'd like. My friend got the French toast which was amazing. Cream cheese stuffed of course. Served with the huckleberry sauce. Side of crisp bacon. I'd have to say the French toast was my favorite of the two but you can't go wrong with either.
