Love this place! Was able to get in on a busy Saturday night through the waitlist and didn't have to wait long at all. We were immediately seated and the waitstaff was incredibly kind. Fresh rolls were immediately brought to our table and our server was quick to take our drink orders. We ordered the rib appetizer, bone in ribeye and prime rib and everything was fabulous! Didn't have to wait long at all for our food order and everything came out delicious. The manager came to greet our table and introduce himself which was super cool. They were playing fun country music and there were a also a couple of birthdays in the restaurant while we dine there. We paid from the mobile device at the table which made things easy for us. Will definitely return here next time! Parking: Free lot

Food is great! Lost stars since the Restaurant is not clean. The fact that so much dust has collected makes me wonder how filthy the entire restaurant must be. These windows are at the tables where people are eating. It should be a clean area.

Food was awesome. Service was great. Always made sure had what you needed. Ambiance was good as well. It was great to see a restaurant open on the Fourth of July. It's had to find but was great because it was my birthday!

Let's get one thing straight...I do not go out of my way to give chain restaurants 5-star ratings. To be honest, I've had so-so, good and great experiences at this location and have hesitated to write a review. However, especially over the past 6 months, all of my experiences have been great...today being better than the rest. To start, our server Lisa was incredible. She was warm, funny, accurate, proactive and suggestive without being pushy. Never wanted for a thing under her service as she was ahead on all drink refills and swung by the table often even with a heavy table load. The rolls were hot and fresh. I still wish they served with regular whipped butter rather than the honey butter, but I digress. I ordered the herb crusted chicken with a side salad and fries. Lisa suggested it with the grilled mushrooms and onions but I'm not a fan of mushrooms...she offered just onions with a promise I would love it, and if not, an immediate replacement. Done. House salad came out first...all veggies were delightfully fresh and paired nicely with the ranch dressing. I am actually not a huge fan of their ranch dressing as it's too thick and not as flavorful as I want it to be...but this salad and ranch was a great pairing. Food came out quickly...and I was immediately impressed with how juicy the chicken looked. Well I found out that it was also exquisitely tender (no need for a knife). The grilled onions just bumped it up a notch on the delicious scale. Fries were crispy, but had soggy edges from the chicken juices...still fantastic. Hubby had the top sirloin with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. Lisa went the extra mile to cover the steak with gravy too, which he loved. Licked that plate clean. Excellent service, great food. Highly suggest downloading the app, using the waitlist option and joining the vip club.

Hmm! Ok. So I hate when I have to talk *badly* about any business. I only do so when warranted and honestly, I don't think what I have to say is all THAT bad. I was just disappointed is all. Back on August 19th 2024, a couple of my friends from Arizona were here in Idaho for the week. I haven't seen them in years. Every time they come here, something always comes up and we miss each other. Instead of getting the blame this time (hahaha) I made sure we met up. I missed them and seeing these guys literally gives one life. They're amazing. They suggested Texas Roadhouse. Now, in the past, my experiences at Texas Roadhouse has always been a great experience(s). I have noooooo idea what the hell happened to this place. I should mention, the last time I ate at their restaurant was when I was in Arizona and that was YEARS ago! Honestly, I think the last time was when they still used sawdust on the floors and gave each table a bucket of peanuts and the shells would be all over the place. You'd think that'd be kinda trashy, right? The prices sure weren't trashy tho haha! It certainly wasn't a Dennys back then. Nowadays tho, eek! I hate to say it, but the quality of the food is very similar to Dennys, BUT with the same costs or actually, much higher now and especially these days seeing as EVERYTHING is expensive. I was stoked to eat here again bc I only had great memories of this place, but damn! The chicken I got looked more like steak strips lol, also was tough like a well done steak. Was it good? Well, you know how some times you get a plate and so much of it is crap? But then there are like 6-10 bites where you are like..."damn! Ok! This sh_t is slappin!" That's how it was with the chicken lol. The fries. Steak fries are always good. This time... they were not. Soggy. soggy. soggy. There's nothing hate more than soggy fries! Actually, soggy bread might be worse lol That brings me to the bread they serve. Rather, the rolls. Now these rolls SLAPPED! And that butter stuff they serve with it! Oooooh, chyle! Now that sh_t is GOOD! I had way too many of those rolls lol. My friends were 30 mins late. So they kept bringing rolls lol. Once I tasted that Texas Roadhouse butter..:it was ova! Is it sad that the rolls were the best part of the meal? I'd think so. The staff was super friendly. From the second I walked in to the second we all left. Our waitress, super friendly, but she rarely RARELY ever came back to the table to check drinks, ask if we needed anything. Again, very nice girl, but waitress-wise... oof, not the best. I get that it was incredibly busy. This is located at the village. Major tourist trap. So naturally this place would be busy, but I just think if one can't handle big crowds maybe waiting tables isn't for them? I actually hate saying anything bad about her, because she was so nice, but yeah, was just kinda taken aback by that. Would I go here again? Yeah...no. The quality of their food is gone. I wonder if they got bought out by some corporation and they ruined what was once great about this once amazing chain restaurant. I know my review won't change anyone's mind, but this is worth putting out into the world...especially if you remember how amazing this place once was. Again, it's at the village. Sooooo many restaurants in that area. This place is convenient, especially if you can't get a table anywhere else...but even the wait here can be long. Use caution when going here haha! If you want quality? Skip this place and find a place close by or head to Eagle of Boise. Thanks for reading, Yelperoadsters!! Cheers!

Ask the Community - Texas Roadhouse

    Do they take reservations?

Yes they do. You can go on their website and do the reservations on there. After that, it's all through text messages on your phone. Very easy process.

Have they stopped the line dancing with the incredibly obnoxiously loud country music?

They have not done this at the Boise location any time I visit.

Of course they had an extensive wine menu, but even though we were both underage there were many options for us. My girls strawberry lemonade was pretty tasty. We made a reservation, so we were seated pretty quickly. The folks were so nice, the ambiance was pretty chill, having dairy queen as a general date spot this was a wonderful treat for us both. We ordered an appetizer of cheese bread. I thought it was pretty good quality, a little high price, bur I expected that because it's a higher end restaurant. Our entree's took a bit of time, but it was to be expected the place wasn't empty. I think we waited somewhere between 15 to 30 minutes after we finished our bread. But when they came, it was worth the wait. I ordered a 14 oz new york strip. My family raises their own beef, so steak is nothing new to us. It was so good, I took a piece home to share with my family, and everyone agreed, it was fantastic. My girl had the rotisserie chicken, falling off the bone delicious, Colonel Sanders needs to step up his game. Another thing I can say, I find usually in high end restaurants I find myself still hungry afterwords, not here, I was completely satisfied with my meal. We ordered dessert, it was the vanilla bean something or other, don't eat fancy so I don't quite know these things. Here comes my only complaint, the sugar coating tasted a bit like burnt coffee, but was still delicious and we ate the whole thing. Before she brought it out, our server asked about the occasion. She took a picture of us with our dessert, which had writing in strawberry sauce, "happy anniversary". Like I said, we don't eat fancy often, especially because we feel unwelcome in many places with as young as we are (18 and 19), but this place made both me and my girl feel special, thank you land and ocean. I cut our faces out for privacy, she took a good picture don't worry about that.

Barbacoa is your place to go for a half entertainment and half great food overlooking the (Parkcenter) Pond for a great time and a great meal - (or not, there is a rooftop bar called Luna where one can imbibe if food is not your jam). This is a second trip to Barbacoa. This trip was perfect as hunger was involved AND a late reservation was needed. Barbacoa really books up, but we were in luck, snagging one of the last reservations on a Friday night! We had a lovely waitress and clean-up guy . Lighter appetites can get by on an appetizer (such as Stuffed Poblano Chile with its namesake Barbacoa Beef). We shared the Calamari Fritti with four different sauces which was lovely in presentation and delish! Saved for next time - they make guacomole table-side! Looks so entertaining and yummy! This review reports that surf and turf were enjoyed! One diner had the Baked Salmon, which was promptly eaten (so it must have been good) and yours truly had the special *American Waygu Ribeye Steak*. Not a staple on the menu, but a GREAT meal, especially if ribeye is a favorite cut! Pro Tip: If there is enough room for dessert, tell them you are here for a special occassion and they produce a cotton candy concoction that is sure to please! They were flying out of the kitchen on this late June Friday night visit. Hang on to your wallet! Not gonna lie, this is a pretty pricey meal, but if in the Boise area, this is a must! There is something for everyone and combined with the entertainment and low state tax ;), worth the trip! We all left happy and full and forgot all about the delayed flight! Another Pro-Tip: Oh and for those with a sense of humor, (or not), there is a small keyhole in the men's bathroom that appears to look directly into the women's room. I don't think they see anything serious, but it is cheeky for sure - ladies, make sure you are fully clothed before walking out! This will be on our regular rotation on future trips to Idaho!

We had a free appetizer coupon and ordered the Texas Tonion. For entrees he ordered a 12 oz New York strip steak with baked potato and salad and I ordered the 10oz salmon that comes with seasoned rice, a baked potato, and salad. Fresh bread and butter was served, also. The Texas Tonion arrived quickly: hot and delicious. NOT GREASY! I prefer ranch dressing rather than the dip provided and Melannie brought it quickly. The salads were out fast. Tasty. The entrees were delivered long enough after the appetizer and salads so we didn't feel rushed. NICE! I don't enjoy starting an app or salad only to have my hot entree placed in front of me. Good timing here! So, that being said, my potato was warm not hot. His potato was hot and a little dry. His steak was delicious, seasoned nicely without an overabundance of salt, and cooked medium rare as he asked. My salmon was perfect. Again not overly salted but perfectly seasoned. The rice was good. It was a very enjoyable lunch. The atmosphere is conducive for conversation; we didn't have to yell over the music to be heard. Melannie was very attentive, checking back frequently, and brought another soda before I needed to ask. The only other cons, hence the 4 stars, is that my menu was filthy. I asked for a clean one and the hostess found 2 more that were dirty before handing me a clean one. Also, his fork had food stuck to it and my steak knife was greasy before I used it.
