I will also say the hours are until 8 PM but several times they have turned away to go orders starting at 4 PM. I don't understand the difference between offering someone to dine in or to go. If it's a small order, I could just put the food in it to go box myself at the table..... if there's a reason they're not taking to go orders they need to state what it is. About the flavor difference I don't know the potatoes taste different. The burnt ends taste different. The brisket taste different. They have also made several menu changes and changes to how they advertise in the actual brick-and-mortar location. With all these changes over the last six years, it just does not feel or taste like the same restaurant. And I'm turned off by the refusal of to go orders. I would much rather drive down the street to the other barbecue location.

The new Dickeys Barbecue just opened in Star. Friendly service and the food is absolutely delicious. Check out some of the off menu items that we discovered, giant loaded baked potatoes, fried chicken sandwich, chicken tenders. What we enjoyed was after ordering they have a bar so you can have a beer or cocktail while you wait for your food. They even have a special smoker for whiskey shots. Let's start out by saying the ambiance inside this dickeys is absolutely wonderful. The environment is an experience to enjoy along with the fantastic food. The last time my family experienced another dickeys we were not impressed. Dickeys in Star has changed my mind and I'm excited to have more food options in Star.
