    Chicken & Beef Plate
    Amy P.

Came to Teri Cafe for dinner on a Sunday early evening. There was a decent crowd, but no wait to order or find a table. It's a casual setup - you order at the counter first, then grab a seat once your food is ready. We tried the Beef Udon ($12) and the Beef & Chicken Plate ($16). The udon included thinly sliced beef, fish cake, half an egg, green onions, and tempura flakes but the broth leaned a bit on the salty side. The plate was filling, with generous portions of both meats, though overall the flavors were pretty standard and nothing particularly memorable. That said, the value is hard to beat. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are definitely satisfying, making it a solid spot if you're looking for a quick, no-frills meal. One downside: we realized after leaving that our order was rung up incorrectly. We were charged for a Dinner Plate (which includes teriyaki chicken and a California roll) with extra beef, but we didn't receive that dish - we were missing the California roll entirely. A bit disappointing to both be charged incorrectly and not receive the right order.

food came out insanely fast. all of the food was also surprisingly delicious. If i come back, i'll likely want to get a dinner combo plate because they looked enormous and delicious! Got the Oceanside bowl which was delicious, like a chirashi bowl. The fish was surprisingly all good quality. also tried the beef udon - yummy! this place is such a hidden gem. very mom&pop vibes, good prices and solid food. The service was very fast!

My first time to this establishment. Came out to visit a longtime friend that I haven't seen a while and decided to come here for dinner. The staff here is very tenitive and always asking if you need anything to make sure everything is okay. In ordered the beef teri and shrimp plate. Mu friend ordered the shrimp tempura plate. The dinner came with milo soup and salad as well. The beef was very tasteful and tender. The shrimp that came with the beef was fried and came with a cocktail sauce. We ate out in the patio are it was nice and relaxing they also had patio heaters out there to keep the area warm. I will definitely be back to try something elsenon the menu next time I'm in town

We have been coming to this place for a long time. It still holds a special place in our hearts with a lot of good memories. Overall the food was still enjoyable, but the quality of ramen seemed to have gone down a bit. The soup was nice. I have just realized this time that they set their point-of-sale systems to calculate suggested tips based on the post-tax total, leading to a higher tip amount. I think that is not cool.

Still a good lunch. #11 for her and I get my salmon on with the Kama. A few stick grabs of her salad/s and a nibble of the tempura, and we are golden. Seemed busier this Saturday. Possibly due to the other store being updated. Good food. Huge plates and great staff. CritDicks

If you like Japanese fusion/fast food with restaurant style dining this could be the place for you! My girlfriends & fellow yelpers Brooklyn Lisa B and Nanci i recently met up here for a sushi ladies night out. When we met up the line was almost out the door. It was moving at a good pace. One customer in front of us had a larger crowd meeting up with her so she let us go ahead of her. That was so nice. We were then greeted kindly by the staffers at the register. You order at the counter and get a number for your table. You kinda have to kink your neck to see the angled digital menu above. But hurrah they also have laminated menus at the register so we quickly scrambled through them. What's nice is you can order separately and not have to worry about splitting the bill or having to Venmo each other afterwards. We chose a comfortable booth that had just been wiped down but was still a bit too wet. So we reached out to a kind young server and received a second wipe down. I don't always eat shrimp but I'm a double crunchy roll kinda gal. The apple cider was good too. They were out of the pineapple tho. We closed down the place and didn't feel rushed out. We'll definitely be back as we had a great meet up & meal here.

Can't believe it's been 7 years since my last review! Teri Cafe had trash food, good portions and great prices and has been consistent for years! My favorite is the Oceanside bowl! Yummy salmon and tuna poke bowl with Ponzu sauce! The staff is friendly and even though the restaurant is always busy, the system of ordering and paying as you walk in and the sitting to eat keeps the crowds moving. This is my go to spot for lunch breaks! Glad to see they are still going strong! Teri Cafe is always great! Gotta keep coming back!

CRAVING CHICKEN TERIYAKI Been to both locations! - FOOD: deicious - PRICE: affordable - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: smaller locations :: FOOD :: Chicken Teriyaki PLATE ($14) - chicken teriyaki, rice, green salad, and potato salad. Went for the plate instead of the bowl and the portions were massive. You can tell the kitchen just cooked the meal and no item has been sitting out. The chicken teriyaki was nicely grilled, sliced, and marinated in the sauce. The teriyaki wasn't too thick, nor runny, and the protein was not swimming in it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :: LOCATION :: This location has root beer but not the apple soda like the other location. It's on top of a hill and views of a small golf course below. They have a dedicated parking lot but if that is full the plaza parking lot is open too. I think I like this location because it's right across VEG (I got a soft heart for VEG. :: SERVICE :: You technically can sit at the table and order as there are QR codes. Was stopped while about to take a seat and was told to order/pay with the front. Then whets the point of the QR codes?! Friendly staff but felt they don't do their rounds to check on customers. Doesn't have to be all the time but an occasional round would be appreciated. I def need to try something different on their huge menu.

    I. Chicken Teri & Temp Bowl
    Christina S.

Teri Cafe is always a good idea. I had the Chicken Teri & Temp Bowl and split the tempura with my husband. He ordered the daily lunch special. Love, love, LOVE the tempura. We've had many other items from their menu; ramen, sushi rolls, yakisoba. All good. Mini Chicken Teri Bowl is my jam. Love the price! A lot of the items have good sized portions at the right price. Can't go wrong with a cold beer with lunch or a hot sake when it's dinner. We love coming here and enjoy the island vibe. Staff is friendly, whether you're at the register or seated at a table. When dropping off your order, they always ask if there is anything else that's needed, i.e. sauces, napkins, utensils, etc, so you don't have to go to the counter. They stop by from time to time to make sure you're a satisfied customer. They use Toast (Local by Toast) for their online ordering and the prices are the same as the menu (unlike some using Grubhub or Doordash with added fees.) There's an enclosed area for outside seating. We've brought our pup on a couple of occasions. Teri Cafe is an Oceanside staple. I'm glad they opened this location. The El Camino location is out of the way. Parking is better here - more spacious and more spots. Another's review mentioned their extreme dissatisfaction of using fake grass on sushi plates. I believe the intention is to separate the wasabi from mixing with the rest of the dish. Hopefully, that review doesn't deter you from visiting. This spot is worth a visit.

    Outstanding!!

You walking and order first, take your number and sit down. Great food and really good service. We barely sat down and one of the waiters came up and started serving us almost immediately. I think we got our entire order out in less than 5 minutes. Impressive. Highly recommend.

Always delicious. I've never had anything that I didn't like. Always on point! Nice atmosphere, great views of golf course below, no outside seating.

    Nasty plastic on my plate
    Mitchell C.

As much as I like Teri Cafe, one thing that has always bothered me is the fake plastic grass they add to every sushi plate. Why is their plastic touching my food? Simply for decoration? Teri could save the money by not buying this stupid fake plastic grass. It doesn't look good, it DEFINITELY doesn't taste good lol, so why is it there? It CHEAPENS the dish rather than enhancing it. Nobody will care if it's gone. Customers won't say "Hey, this sushi is worse now that the plastic grass is gone!" Ridiculous. Cut the expense from your budget and it's one less thing your employees have to worry about. Get rid of the fake plastic grass at all your restaurants and I'll get rid of my 1 star reviews.

The food is always delicious. The service is always good and they are getting quicker. The ambiance is always calm and clean. It's down the street from my house and I love it. I always try their new items like the Samuri Wrap. It's usually busy at lunch and dinner so go a little earlier. Great job Teri Cafe on El Camino Real

For some of the best ramen that Oceanside has to offer, I recommend The Wu Lan Ramen located in the Plaza Del Oro Shopping Center, just south of the 76 Hwy. It's hidden behind the 24 Hour Fitness and CVS. The plaza has limited parking, but it isn't typically too crowded and you should be able to find parking in front of this family-owned ramen restaurant. They have a quaint and trendy ambiance and they placed a lot of care into their anime murals, which lends to a "whimsical" vibe. It's a nice blend of traditional elements & colors and modern (kawaii) accents. The interior is also spacious and has great seating for groups and is also good for couples too. Enjoy table seating or better-yet at their bar seating and you can chat with the friendly staff! They have a "staple menu" that is written in chalk on a board and then there's their menu that is very diverse. They also have a great Happy Hour menu with items priced below $8, including sake! I enjoy their pan-fried gyoza, salted edamame, miso soup, firecracker shrimp, fried calamari, chicken karaage and most other delicious dishes. Their sushi menu is also high quality grade and I feel is often overlooked and underrated. But their ramen is what shines the most! There are so many styles & varieties! There's a lot to customize and their broth is amazing! There are many tasty bowls, desserts and don't forget to grab a sake or a craft beer! I recommend checking Wu Lan Ramen the next time you're looking for some authentic ramen or sushi in the north side of Oceanside.

This is a long review so if you are here for my experience at rosewood, scroll to the second…read moreparagraph, if you'd like to read everything (which I encourage), please do. Firstly, was appalled to see that this negative Nancy, supposedly a "regular", was operating at a 'lightbulb-in-a-power-outage' level of thinking." Just wanted to clarify, as someone who comes to rosewood a couple times a month, and always had such a wonderful time. Before i get into my review (second paragraph), I'd like to share some of my critical thinking skills with the few that decided to leave subpar reviews about this establishment. 1: The sidewalk is PUBLIC, everybody has the right to be on PUBLIC property, even the homeless. No one can tell anyone to leave if they are on public property, even if they are in front of a business, simple logic. 2: This is a small business, so what they charge a dollar for an ounce of their delicious sauce, small profit margins = can't cut corners as much as large cooperations, common sense. 3: There's different music every night, that attracts crowds of ethnicities, race, sex, etc., can't be u happy when a certain class of people show up wanting to listen to music. And my last point before I actually give my review; 4: This is Oceanside, you cannot go a single day without witnessing some homeless people doing weird or crazy stuff! This isn't La Jolla. If you are supposedly a "regular", one bad experience, that is out of the owner's hands, shouldn't cause you to have such a tantrum. Now while everyone has a right to their own opinion, let's use critical thinking and common sense before we bash a small, family business. Review: Rosewood, the few times I have been, have been exceptional. While the ramen may be bland a couple of times, let the owner know, as he always welcomes feedback! Other than some little bumps, the owner (Josh), is a one man show running this business. We've been here a few times when it was busy and he always tried his best to keep cool, even while serving, bussing and pouring drinks meanwhile the restaurant is full of people. If you're coming here for the ramen, you can't go wrong with the basic miso. It comes with pork and you could add chicken to it for $5 dollars. The J3, which is a mix of the house made, red and white sangria is TO DIE FOR. Additionally, the dirty bird fries, and the filet mignon with noodles (which I had on two separate occasions), were just as beautifully prepared and delicious as they looked on the menu. The ambience, it exceptionally beautiful. There is art surrounding the whole restaurant, with even a gallery that leads you to the restrooms, definitely would come in, just to check out the artwork. We came on a Sunday, so a slower day, and there was this band named "FNK" that was playing... WONDERFUL. They played some cover songs and sang especially well. Enjoyed every song they played. The service, was amazing as always, with Diego taking our orders and being prompt with what we needed. Overall, experience at rosewood so far has been nothing but excellent. Don't let all these negative reviews fool you. You can't come to a small business expecting perfection every single time, especially if it's the first time. 10/10!

We settled on Oceanside in hopes of finding good food, as our weekend (end of Feb) had been full of a poor results. This place came up as very well rated on Yelp, as my friend and I searched for places to eat. It was a Saturday night with great weather. The red flag I should have read into was that the lone guy working that night was a one man show. He was doing it all in the front of the house. I tried to get us a table to sit outdoors but he just couldn't get to the table to clean it. After about 20 minutes he finally came and just moved all the bowls to the empty table next to it and wiped it down. When my friends finally arrived we all sat down to sticky menus that had NO descriptions. What you see on the website is exactly what they have on the menu. We had to wait to ask the server/host what each menu item meant. It took a while to get our food from when we ordered. Thank goodness for good company, I didn't clock it. The food options were limited and keep in mind for those who have children, most of the options come with a spicy kick, you'll have to explicitly tell them "no spicy"! There was a party who had been sitting for a while before we got there and a kiddo took a bite of pizza and was crying, screaming from it being so spicy. With my ramen the portions are tiny for what you pay, with 1 piece of meat, not enough noodles. Flavor wise it was spicy and bland. We ordered a couple appetizers which were not very good. The edamame was overly salty and soaked in soy sauce and the karaage was probably the only good thing and that was a little overfried. No one in our party finished our food or took any of the leftovers home. Save yourself the trip, not worth trying the "unique foods".

And said welcome for two? have that table right there! I was shocked, immediately feeling more than welcome. So now my hopes were high. Ordered the pork fried rice, house pho, and lotus stem salad with shrimp. Where to begin my goodness, I'm salivating writing this review only one day later. Let's start with the salad, never would I order this in my life but my girl knows her Asian cuisine very well, it was the first thing she picked. And my god, freaking unbelievable every bite I had was so so tasty! That dressing is incredible along with the onions, I don't know what they do to them but man oh man they were delightful. Now the pork fried rice, what a hit! The pork is sliced so unbelievably thin and with so much flavor too, and the fried rice was all very good. Definitely not the best fried rice I've had but it was still quite tasty, I feel it was just slightly on the dry side for a fried rice. But flavor was very tasty and some bites were not dry. And the pho!! Kabang, another hit!!! The broth, noodles, everything. And they serve it with beans sprouts and jalapeno which is a must add!! The crunchiness from the bean sprouts ties the whole bowl together! Will I be back is not even a question one should ask. Boy am I glad to have tried this place!!! 9.5/10 Lost .5 points because of the fried rice. What a beautiful spot!!! Apologies for no pictures I tend to forget when on a date.
