If your looking for a Saturday with wine and pizza for $30 this is your spot. They have other events like Bingo music night and other stuff that goes on. I am a sucker for flights and was easy to pick some yum from the list. Plenty of sitting not to big but cozy. Been here 2x already. 2 days in a row because had to go back and have more tastings. The service was great. The girl working there was able to tell you more about the beers and very friendly and sweet. I would say her name but I don't want to misspell it but it was Hawaiian name. I've been here several times now and it will probably be my go to spot for a beer in this area. I'm still new to the craft beer and coming to Tap That is a great place to try different beers from a lot of breweries. I love how they have a special every night and that they also serve food on Wednesday and Friday nights. Ok so Tap That is pretty small, a small bar, a few tables and several chairs up against the walls. A reason why I like this spot is because they have the beers that I like, mango sours and just about anything fruity. They also change the beer list about once a month or so and I really love that. The bartenders are pretty cool but I think once you had one too many they will start to play with your mind. I guess there are two sisters that work here who are Cat and Carina but I think they are the same person. Or maybe I had one too many. This is a mellow, friendly, nice place to try a few different beers. They had about 20-22 beers on tap. It is no-frills and has a great neighborhood vibe. It is affordable, they have giant jenga, and a patio as well with occasional live music. This past weekend was our first visit and we were stoked to have stumbled upon their 2-year anniversary party. We were greeted at the door and got to enjoy free delicious food cooked by the owner's dad. The owner & his family were there, and everyone was familiar and friendly, definitely a cool locals spot. It's pretty unimpressive. I've been here a handful of times with friends for NYE parties and other themed nights and it doesn't matter how many times I've been here, I always accidentally walk into the shop right next door. That's how memorable they are. It's kinda grody ngl. All the tables and the counter are sticky, like uncomfortably sticky no matter how many times you wipe it down. The beer they got is okay, they have wine too and it's on the same level as the beer. Tbh it's the owners for me during the height of the pandemic, when everyone was supposed to be closed, they were still open and serving. If it was just to pay the bills I'd get it but they also have never enforced the mask rule. I went in once with a mask and other ppl at the bar were lowkey judgey to my face about it. Saying things like "oh are you afraid of the air?" "You think that's gonna protect you?" "If you have to take it off to drink why wear it at all" If I'm going to wear a mask, it literally has nothing to do with you. So don't get in my face because you think what I'm wearing is stupid. It's my choice not yours. Ugh I'm getting so angry just thinking back on it. And I personally don't want to give my business to a place that is okay with their regulars being jerks to non regular customers. First time here and I love this place! The atmosphere was great and they have a great variety of beer here. We will definitely be back. Not only do they have beers on tap but they also have beers you can open as well as wine! A really nice touch to me as a women is the tongs in the bathroom. They are so you don't have to put the toilet seat down since they have unisex bathrooms. That is so incredibly polite. This place is a great place in Oceanside to have a drink that isn't packed. Rented a kegerator for my husbands birthday party and their team was great! Travis answered all of my questions and always got back to me via email pretty quick. They were able to provide everything including delivery and pick up. We had 1 issue with one of the taps not working however Travis answered my call right away and walked me through what could be wrong and how to fix (the line got a little to cold on the cider keg so super easy fix). Within 5 mins it was fixed and ready to party. Would absolutely rent from them again. read more

The best hole-in-the-wall bar/local watering hole ever! I went for the first time last Tuesday and ran into a coworker. I took part in the beer sharing and enjoyed a variety of different brews! I made friends with some of the patrons and the bartender (Mike - he's awesome!). I had such a great time that I signed up for their club and returned the next day for trivia (we won!). For a great time, check out this spot. They always have excellent beer on tap and in bottles. I'm so glad I took a chance on this spot. I have to say for a first time, I liked it. Located in an industrial area, it works for them. Parking can be interesting, but that's the sign of a good business. We walked in and were greeted pretty quickly. With 20 local beers on tap, it was nice to see. It really showcases what's out there in San Diego, which I appreciate a lot. I went with a Karl Strauss - Bleke Citroen Belgian Pale, which was great. Slightly hoppy for me (probably not for hop heads though, so think of it as a first beer of the night if you're into hops). Nicely chilled and worked we. There is plenty of seating. It definitely had a very local feel as a lot of people knew each other and were enjoying the conversation. If you were hungry, there was a spread from Alberto's outside and for 5 bucks, you could enjoy the grub. There was even a bulldog that came around and greeted everyone. 6 dollars for a pint seems a bit steep, but you can get a dollar off if you buy one of their logo pint glasses. Depends on if you look at this more as a bar or a tasting room I guess. For good service, a fun atmosphere and tasty local beer, give this place a try. read more

Tap That is a great little gem tucked in a small parking lot surrounded by a motorcycle shop, a Crossfit, and a party supply place. It's pretty genius to have a tap room amongst various businesses and warehouses. After a hard day's work, a cold beer is at the top of everyone's wish list! The selection at Tap That is constantly rotating, the bartenders are friendly and helpful, and there are fun social media perks (for example, check in on Yelp, Facebook, etc.. on a certain day of the week and receive $ off your pint). I visited recently with a group of coworkers and they were holding a raffle -- for every pint you purchased, you got a raffle ticket into the drawing for 2 tix to the SD Beer Festival, which my coworker won. Thanks to Travis and Kelly, we have an awesome double-tap kegerator in our kitchen, fully stocked with delicious local San Diego craft beer! We contacted them after looking into a couple of options locally, and were impressed with their knowledge, impressive keg list, and awesome customer service. Both Travis and Kelly are very knowledgable about local craft beer, super warm and inviting, and just all around great people to do business with. We went to the actual tap room to look at our options, and I'm so glad we did! Travis showed us their extensive bottle selections, and talked with us for about 20 mins about our options while we sampled some of their current tap list. The tap room is large, has an awesome collection of local tap handles, and hosts some of the best local food vendors, including my fave - Dad's Hot Dogs! Once we made our decisions about the kegerator, Travis made the process very simple. We never felt rushed and were very well informed of our rent-to-own options vs buying outright, etc. Within a week of our order, we had our kegerator delivered, set up and ready to pour Green Flash Double Stout. Throughout the ordering process, they were very accommodating, and could have delivered even sooner if we had been available. Travis took time to show my better half how to use the tap system, maintain it properly - and most importantly, how to properly pour a beer!! When we emptied the first keg, we emailed them about options for delivery and new kegs. Kelly responded to my numerous my emails very quickly, told me all of our options when the keg we wanted wasn't available, and could have set up delivery two days later, if it wasn't for our busy schedules. But, as luck would have it, we decided to pick up the kegs (Port Brewing Wipeout IPA and Board Meeting) and got to meet Kelly in person. Despite being busy, and pregnant, she knew exactly who we were, grabbed our orders quickly, and had us out the door in less than five minutes. We're very pleased with our purchases, and will continue to order our kegs from Travis and Kelly... As well as stopping by the tap room to try new local craft treats!!! You can tell from the care that is taken with every order that Travis and Kelly take great pride in their business and sharing local SD craft beer love. The keg list on their website is very extensive, but if you're looking for something not on the list, email them and they'll respond quickly. Also, the keg deposit is less than buying directly from the local breweries, as Tap That is a distributor. Finally, you owe it to yourself, Travis and Kelly to visit their tap room. How could you not like a place with a like Tap That?? I don't think you can. Unless you dislike fun..... and beer. If you dislike fun and beer then maybe you could not like this place but I wouldn't care what you think because you would be a non-fun non-beer drinking person. So the service was good and the atmosphere perfectly San Diego. Plenty of room for large groups with tables and open space. The focus, as it should be, is on beer. They have signs for all the SD breweries on the walls and that is about it. Although the tap list was good and pretty big it was a bit heavy on IPA.. I know that is what people in this area prefer so I understand but unfortunately for me that is not my thing. The non IPA's on tap are ones that I have had a million times and I am a person that likes to try new stuff all the time so for a second I was sad. Then I realized that when we entered we walked past a cooler of bottles. I went over and found a great selection with plenty that I have never had before. I enjoyed a bottle at the bar while my husband enjoyed the many IPA's on tap. We also took a few bottles home for couch enjoyment. We will be back here again I am sure. read more

My mechanic is literally next door to this place and hubby has been by here a few times to pick up kegs and mentioned it had a cool tasting room. So finally, after hearing about TT for a while, I decide to stop by after dropping my car at TnT mechanic shop and have a nice, carbonated brewsky to kick off my weekend. Glad I did! Very mellow, down to earth beer room. I was immediately greeted by another beer patrons dog (another star rating for being dog friendly). I belly right up to the bar, and I'm quickly greeted by a sweet, friendly bartender that recommended a yummy ale (manzanita). Perfect! Yummy! Hits the spot. It's early on a Thursday and not very crowded so I amuse myself by getting the daily scoops from hubs work day and playing with the cute fur baby doggy that is kicking it with his human companion. There's no food service; however, I hear Friday's they have food trucks out in the parking lot, so grab a bite prior to drinking here, since drinking on an empty belly is just no bueno! Great neighborhood craft beer store plus tasting room with one of the best tap lists in Oceanside (possibly THE best). All beers for takeaway were refrigerated with little markup. Breweries in stock about exhaust San Diego's enormous offerings. Special releases bottle available. On tap a hefty mix of only local breweries: Artifex, Societe, Rip Current, Port, Hess, Stone, and more. Conspicuously, no beer on tap from Legacy, which is 50 feet away. I wonder why? Kegs pouring were decently fresh...Hess Solis IPA was stale and sticky. Societe Publican tasting pretty good though, so we stuck to that. Rip Current's Kona Coffee Imperial Stout was rocking. They kicked that keg but then never bothered to hook up anything to replace it. Since my wife only drinks imperial stouts (I'm serious), she was pretty disappointed and stopped drinking. Trivia night every Wednesday night. We came this week and were greeted with free homemade salsa and chips, Costco pizza, homemade pasta salad, homemade lemon cake. Nice surprise. Trivia prizes were gift cards to the establishment, usable that minute on your tab. Pretty nifty. Decor could use a little work. Other than that, really fun time here with a personal vibe. The owners were there and very friendly. Primary qualm is that some of the IPAs were not fresh and no replacement keg was hooked up to replace the imperial stout that kicked.
